Rosie and Clary walked down the quiet hall towards the Hospital Wing, occasionally, she'd glance behind to see if Clary was still following her. She was skipping on ahead of Clary because she didn't like behind the one behind the person while walking, even if she didn't really know where she was going. Though eventually, they came upon the wing. Rosie poked her head inside, it seemed to be empty of any other kids. So she turned back to Clary. "Well, here we are. Do you wanna do the talking? If you don't, that's okay. Hospitals just kinda... Freak me out." She shrugged.

Rosie shifted from foot to foot as they spoke, a habit she had built up over the years. She didn't know exactly why she didn't like hospitals. Maybe it was the sometimes spooky doctors, or maybe it was the shots that they gave out sometimes. Those hurt! Whatever it was, it still unsettled Rosie. But she'd be up to talking to the front desk if needed, since at this point it wasn't that hidden that she talked a lot more than Clary, which she didn't mind either. Besides, this was just a little check up. There wasn't anything to fear anyway.

Clary followed after Rosie, listening to the click-clack of her feet as they bounced along the corridor. It seemed that Hufflepuff girl was just a little bundle of energy, endlessly eager to keep moving up, up, and away. The group of girls passed by a few random doors after ascending the staircase to the Third Floor, and after a few misadventures with getting turned around, they successfully located the Hospital Wing, a long room lined with beds on each side. Each bed had a small table next to it and stark white sheets covering it, and tall windows allowed ample amount of light to flood into the space.

She was surprised at the sight of the room. Considering she was at a school filled with witches and wizards she expected something less... mundane. That's the word she'd use for it. Everything in this reminded her of an old orphanage from the 1900s, but that was a fair assumption, considering the castle was old, and this room had definitely been around since then and far earlier. Clary was relieved to find the space relatively empty of injured students. That was always good news when hospitals were empty. It either meant everyone was in perfect health, or the dead body hadn't been discovered yet... Well, perhaps the second one wasn't really a positive situation.

She scanned the space for the nurse, nodding her head to Rosie's comment. "Sure, I don't mind talking."

Rosie sighed in relief when Clary said she'd do the talking, grateful. She hummed as she looked around for the nurse, quiet food steps being heard as she explored the wing. It sure was big, that was for sure. Rosie decided to sit on a bed, crossing her legs. "Maybe we should talk some more while we wait?" She turned to Clary, smiling. "We have some time to pass, I think. If nobody is here that is." She shrugged.

Truth be told, she hoped a nurse didn't stop by. What if she had to get brain surgery for some odd reason? Who knew! She thought talking to Clary about nonsense was a much better idea. "This place is so odd, isn't it? Things move by themselves, and there's so many different types of people here. It's so interesting."

Rosie went on to babble a little more, she was genuinely surprised and intrigued by all that Hogwarts had to offer. It was a different enviroment, it distracted her from home problems, it was great! She swung her legs off the bed and patted the seat next to her, inviting Clary to sit next to her. Rosie felt safe around Clary, but she figured it was because she was her first friend.

Clary took a seat next to Rosie, perching on the edge of the bed. She felt strange creating wrinkles in the meticulously smoothed out pearly white sheets but found a slight comfort in ruining something that seemed so eerily perfect that it was fake. That's why Doctor's Offices, Hospitals, etc. had always bothered her. There was something about the sickening white lights, hushed whispers, and fake smiles that all seemed so... unreal. She'd prefer blunt honesty over pretty lies any day. No matter what, if there's something that will hurt someone, whether or not one lies about it, it'll still find a way to hurt them in the end when the truth comes out. There's no point in sparing them the pain in the beginning and giving them false hope.

Of course, the two First Year Hogwarts students were not at the Hospital Wing for anything serious, and no pretty lies would have to be told today. In reality, she wasn't really sure if either of them was hurt or just wanted a chance to wander around and talk to each other. Rosie seemed hard-headed enough to know how to handle herself, and at most Clary may have had a slight bruise on her arm from her little tumble. Glancing around the space, she found the nurse was yet to be found and decided Rosie's idea for a pastime was good as any!

As Rosie continued to babble on about the architecture and overall place that was Hogwarts, Clary couldn't help but nod her head at mentionings of the peculiar. "It's definitely a change from my normal home... Kids using wands and casting magical spells, moving staircases, talking paintings, and floating candles... all of it seems a little bit much at times," she admitted, thinking about her preliminary awe when first walking into the Great Hall during her Sorting Ceremony, or the moment when she'd wandered into that ballroom and met the two Gryffindor boys. Hogwarts seemed to be full of surprises.

Rosie swung her legs off the bed as the two girls talked, occasionally blowing some hair out of her face. She wasn't very sure on why the hospital wing was so vacant, it caused an eery silence when none of the two were talking. She'd probably go as far to say that was the reason she was talking so much, to fill the silence. But, she was curious, so she finally slowed down her babbling to ask: "So, what do you think of here so far?" Rosie leaned down, resting her chin on her palms, while her elbows rested nicely on Rosie's now crossed legs. "Seems like you've already got a plan and everything."

In that aspect, she admired Clary. She had already figured out what she wanted to do here at Hogwarts with the article, while Rosie was at sort of a state of confusion. She knew what she was here for, obviously. But other than making friends and learning spells, she hadn't really thought of anything else she wanted to do. Maybe she could think about it later.

The more they talked, the more Rosie realized they were literally just in here to... Talk. Rosie was fine, for the most part, other than the bump on her head. And Clary looked fine as well.

Clary scanned the space for the nurse, wondering where the woman could possibly be. There was a small door in the back presumably leading to a location where all of the medicinal herbs and whatever the nurse needed to heal students was most-likely kept. Clary's best bet was that she stored a variety of potions used for healing, on top of medicinal herbs, perhaps grown from the herbology house she'd visited with Marissa out on the grounds. None the less, the room was empty, and since the girls had nothing better to do than just sit there and talk, talk they did.

Upon Rosie's question, Claryssa shrugged, finding difficulty in coming up with a single answer. "Hogwarts... is honestly wild, but in a good way. I've never really been at boarding school, so that's a change, though I'm at least here with my twin, Marissa North. She's a Hufflepuff, so maybe you'll meet her some time. She's a bit, er, quiet, so don't be too phased." She smiled at the thought of knowing her sister would have Rosie in her house with her. Perhaps Clary's new Hufflepuff friend could ensure her twin stayed out of trouble, though she knew that'd be a difficult feat when dealing with Mari.

She laughed at the next statement. Clary had far from a plan; she was just taking each day as it went along. "Honestly, I really have no idea what I'm doing. I just joined newspaper 'cause it looked, well, fun. But overall? No idea. I may try out Dueling Club, and I at least attended Quidditch try-outs, though the results haven't been posted."  She probably wouldn't get in, but it wasn't that big of a deal to her. I mean, yes, she really wanted to play, but there was only so much she could do if there were others who were more talented than she was. She didn't want to be that annoying person who stole a spot from a valuable player and then ended up failing miserably at the sport herself.

Rosie sighed as once again, the nurse was nowhere to be seen. You would think she'd appear at some point, seeing as this castle was probably full of irresponsible children who could get themselves hurt, but maybe she was on a break! She swung her legs as she listened to Clary talk about her day, a smile on her face. Rosie forgot that listening was good too. "Yeah, it is pretty wild. But I think it's pretty cool too! So there's more good sides to this place than anything. And I don't think I've seen your sister yet. But I'm excited to meet her!" Rosie clasped her hands together. "Hopefully I don't scare her away."

"Dueling club sounds... Dangerous, to say the least. And I might not be very into quidditch. But maybe I'll join it, I'm not very sure of anything yet." Rosie sighed. "All I know is that there's a library here, and it's so nice. Have you seen it?" She grinned and spread her hands. "It's huge! It's got every book you could possibly even think of to read, it's phenomenal!" Rosie stopped herself before she babbled too much, managing a more relaxed smile. "Sorry, I did it again."

Clary smiled, absentmindedly swinging her legs over the edge of the bed as she listened to Rosie babble away about all of the wonders Hogwarts had to offer. She was honestly amazed no one else was present at the moment, considering the students like Rosie that were around. Plus, Potions lessons hadn't exactly assuaged her fears of things going wrong, and she bet strange elixirs and magical spells just made students more likely to get hurt, especially untrained ones who weren't sure how to use magic yet. This was a school, after all, and people were still learning every day.

"Well, if you see her, let me know. She needs a good friend- she's actually a selective mute, so sometimes she finds it hard to talk to people." That was an understatement, considering her twin Mari didn't talk at all. She prayed her sister found her voice throughout her years at Hogwarts. Perhaps there was some potion or spell cast that could help fix her predicament, though she wasn't sure if there was any solution for a mental choice. "I highly doubt you'll scare her away," Claryssa promised Rosie, an amused smirk on her face. Her twin deserved someone bubbly and full of energy, exactly like Rosie.

Clary knew Dueling Club was a risk, but she'd already committed, so there was no going back now! Quidditch was the same way. If you took no risks in life, were you really living if at all? At the mentioning of the library, she perked up, remembering her mini adventures with Lou at the beginning of the Year. "Yeah! The library is crazy! Towering shelves, flying books, and the Restricted Section! Who knows what's out that way..."

Rosie leaned back a bit on her elbows as Clary responded to her, listening to her talk. She kept her eyes on her so Clary knew that Rosie had her full attention. Her sister sounded sweet, she was lucky to have the opportunity to be friends with her! Rosie hoped she would be okay with her babbling, she wanted Clary's sister to feel as comfortable as possible while around her. Rosie sat up once again and crossed her legs. "I'll be sure to be nice to her, she seems pretty cool just from what you've said!" Rosie shrugged.

"I was thinking of signing up for Quidditch though, sounds fun! I'm not one for competitions but... I dunno, maybe I can shine some light on Hufflepuff. But the library? Whew. I love it! It's so big, it's got so many books on so many aisles. The room is huge! Your voice echoes, I could hear my foot steps echoing as I ran down the aisle. It's so beautiful." She put her hands on her cheeks, grinning. Her cheeks were a big red from the babbling she fell into again. But she loved the library, no doubt there. Rosie rested her elbows on her legs while her face rested on her palms.

Clary nodded her head alongside Rosie's words, listening to her ramble away about her love for the library. She really hoped Rosie and her sister would get along. Without Clary being in the Hufflepuff house, she worried about Mari being on her own. Even though they'd never been very emotionally close to one another, they were always physically close and had never been so far separated before her time at Hogwarts. Eventually, Clary knew she'd just have to drop her worries and let her sister free to face the world. She wouldn't always be around to protect her, and it was better Mari learned to function on her own now, while she had the choice, instead of being forced into an unfortunate situation later in life if something were to happen to Clary or the rest of their family.

She thought it was amazing that Rosie wanted to try-out for Quidditch! From her short and limited experience with the sport, she'd already fallen in love with it. There was something, well, magical about being able to fly through the air on a broom, and although she'd first viewed it as a bit silly that she was a literal witch flying on a broomstick, she now took the sport and its rules pretty seriously, attempting to keep up with the world championships and professional-level games. "You'd probably love Quidditch! There are seven players on each team. One keeper, who guards the three goals that are shaped like rings, the beaters who keep this tough balls called the bludgers from barreling into their teammates, the three chasers, who pass the Quaffle back and forth and throw it into the goal, and the Seeker, who tries to catch a tiny little ball called a golden snitch to win a point! It's all in the air and you literally get to fly!"

Clary rambled on for a few minutes before growing quiet, allowing Rosie to reminisce about her opinions of the library. She found it curious that someone who was far from a Ravenclaw could be in love with such a space, but found it endearing as she rambled on about it, her cheeks red from all the talking.
