Divination Ambush
The Divination classroom awaited students who were willing to make the trek up the entire Divination stairwell just to take a shot at decorating the notoriously crabby professor's classroom. Those familiar with the prior professor would find that her decor had been left entirely unchanged. The lively drapes and tapestries still hung from the walls like ghosts, faded and grey from the dust that had collected since they were last cared for. The weary chains of the chandelier groaned as the cool air poured in from the open window. The place looked far too grey and soulless to be anything but hopelessly mundane. It was a wonder that a professor of Divination of all things could bear to live in a room that was so lacking in ambiance.
However, among the dead candles and faded poufs of the classroom laid something else. Something that any enterprising young student would notice during pride month - an opportunity. An absence of colour waiting to be filled, a room that longed to be revitalized with the pride and vibrancy of the school's population. The door was unlocked, and Kibitzer was unaware that she would be having any guests on this particular date. (So much for the Inner Eye, eh?) The only signs of life in the room were what the professor had changed in her brief time on staff - a tea set sat on a tray on the table in the centre of the room, and at the edge of the chalkboard, a tiny button with a little rainbow on it was propped up. Perhaps Professor Kibitzer would welcome the makeover? It would be fun either way.
Professor Kibitzer will arrive 10 IRL days after this thread opened. Better get decorating!

Divination Ambush
Note to self:
Never leave
home without
glitter~
Hjørdis got to the North Tower before Caradoc did. Honestly, why did they decide to go from Astronomy straight to Divination? Who knew? But Hjørdis wasted no time in making sure she hit each of the classrooms of her Slytherin Professors. She was their Head of House, she had to welcome the two new ones to the role properly. Besides, this was far better than the greetings and welcome they actually received.
The stitch she had from running from the third floor, to the first, to the greenhouses outside and then back to the astronomy tower was getting a tad bit worse as she sprinted to the North Tower. But it was worth it. She leaned against the door of the Divination classroom with a smirk, "Finally, Caradoc... Geesh, about time you showed up. I guess I win, eh?" She teased as Caradoc finally arrived. In reality, he was just behind her. But she wanted to rub it in his face. She panted softly as she tried to compose herself once more.
Sneaking into the office when she was sure Rosalind was not there, Hjørdis looked around and wondered what she could do. She propped open her bag and glanced at the supplies she still had left. Most of the glitter was done by now, there was not a lot of things left. A smirk crossed her face as she found a can of silly string. It was in white but that could easily be changed. Grinning to herself, Hjørdis wondered how much Rosalind would hate her... But it was too late now. The lid of the bottle was already off and she was shaking the can. She started to spray the silly string everywhere she could.
The room was covered in white silly string within minutes. Using the colour changing charm on the white silly string, she quickly turned different sections into different colours. There was red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple string throughout the classroom, draped over the curtains and the tablecloths of the desk. Yes, Rosalind would have a blast cleaning that up. Hjørdis did it anyway. Magic, after all, could fix this in moments.
Taking out a colourful paper flower from her bag, she set it in the corner of the room, "Engorgio," She cast on it, watching it enlarge. It did not take over the entire room but the size of the paper flower was definitely now easily noticeable as it took over the corner. It was beautiful. With that, she stored the empty silly string can back into her bag and fled the scene of the crime quickly before Caradoc, laughing softly at his words. Messing with the professor's teapot and tea set - risky move, Caradoc Browne!

Divination Ambush

"Oh shut up." Caradoc grinned as he landed on one of the chairs in the classroom. Clearly in need of a new supply of air, he had to take a few minutes to get his bearing. He was practically wheezing as he could not stop laughing about it all. How silly they must have looked running around the entire castle. Just to mess a few places up. Stroking his sweaty hair out of his face, he stood back up and instantly noticed the tea set in the centre of the room.
"Oh, miss Rosalind... the mistake you just made..." He grinned broadly whilst pointing his wand towards the teapot. With a quick swirl of his wand the pot grew four legs and the spout turned into the head of a tortoise. Soon the slow animal would be looking confused around the room and make its way across the table. Regardless of exactly how many tea cups would have been present in the room. Caradoc transfigured them all into gerbils, he watched with a childlike smile on his face as the small animals skittered away around the classroom.
"Well, I can't really do much more damage to the poor woman" The Head of Hufflepuff explained. "I already set her favourite tea set on the loose." He walked over to the door and nodded to Nora as he made his exit. He needed more time to fully wrap his head around what the both of them just had done. But he sure as hell knew he would not regret any second of it. He wished he could have been there when they entered their classrooms after all this. As he followed Nora out, his gaze lingered after her. She was something special alright...

Divination Ambush
Mildred stood at the base of the stairs leading to the Divination classroom, She stared up at the stairs as they loomed over her. "There's no way I could walk up these..." She whispered to herself, she quickly turned back- preparing to walk back to the Great hall, however, it had happened to caused a series of events; the force of her momentum forced her bag to open and a few of her supplies came tumbling out- a few cans of glitter, some crumbled up garlands and lastly, some fabric. They had all been spewed all over the floor, she sighed before bending down and picking everything back up.
Mildred stood back up and patted down her robes- trying her best to remove any dust that may have gotten onto her, before finally triple checking the latch of her bag. Inside it had contained a variety of supplies she had snatched from the Great hall- mainly, it was whatever had caught her eyes. She even had made a few candles while she was there. At first, the whole idea of Pride was unknown to the small Hufflepuff girl as she grew up in a terribly small community of people, it was also most definitely something her parents would never talk about as they often stuck to their own traditions of the past. However, sometimes it's better to open your eyes and see the viewpoint of others and to educate oneself- something she wished she could say to her parents.
If there was one thing Mildred was grateful for it was her teachers back at home, as she was never the most social kid growing up. Often staying to herself and her stuffed companion- in which she terribly missed at the moment, she was sure Chicken would have loved to aid her in her current quest. Normally, if she wasn't spending time with chicken, her teachers would bite the bullet and spend time with her. They most likely did it out of pity, however, she didn't know any better and had actually enjoyed their company. There was just something different when it came to adults compared to small kids, they seemed to understand more- although, she couldn't apply this to every adult she has met.
During her P5's (3rd grade) she had a teacher who had identified herself as queer, and during the month of June they had spent the marjotiy of the month doing fun crafts, and of course, learning about LGBTQ+ history. One particular fact that has stuck with her for a while now was how Scotland was regarded by many as one of the most LGBT-friendly countries, in which, for once- Mildred had pride in where she was born- it was something beautiful to be able to be who you want to be, and love whoever you want to.
Mildred held tightly onto her bag as she thought about her home life, something she didn't miss overall. She started walking back to the great hall, perhaps she should pick a classroom or a location in which she had been to before? Like most first years, Mildred has never set one foot in the mysterious Divination classroom. Aside from the rumors, she has heard from gossiping students in the corridor and the questionable personality of the professor in which she couldn't remember the name of and her lackluster classroom. As she thought about the professor in question more and more, she couldn't give up now, could she? Perhaps the reasoning for Mrs...K..Kiwi strange behavior was her room was empty and she secretly longed for someone to help her! and she would be upset that there was no first year brave enough to set foot into her room and decorate it, the mere thought of the professor being upset about their empty room while all the other professors had decorated rooms... she thought about how perhaps the other professors would bully the poor divination professor for something like this, thus these -most likely wrong- ideas made Mildred almost excited to walk up the stairs, as it was up to her to do this very task.
Of course, it was always harder to start something then calling it quits however sometimes you just have to start- in which she did, she took her very first step and before she knew it she was halfway up the stairs. Mildred continued up the stairs, trudging along while holding onto her bag. She did have to question the location of the room, did being higher up effect Divination? What even was Divination in the first place? Mildred thought about the strange class and the fruit professor and before she knew it, she had reached the very top- surprised to see that it wasn't that much of a trek up here, however she was never known to have the most stamina or any physical attributes.
She stepped into the room and immediately laid down her bag and stood staring at the ground for a few moments to catch her breath, before looking up to see... utter chaos. Well, as much chaos as one can cause in a classroom. The room seemed more... lively than expected, although she assumed it was due to the previous adventurers that were here before her. She looked around at the questionable string that had been draped around absolutely everywhere and the paper flower in the middle of the room, she took a few more steps inside shivering a bit from the open window- she tried her best to envision the room without the string nor the paper flower and assumed that Divination was used for summoning the dead as to the young girl, the room was dead.
She thought about what she could do, as her attention was drawn towards the cutest thing she has set her eyes upon- aside from Chicken. There were a bunch of tiny... mouse-like creatures that resembled teacups almost, she gasped and sprinted towards them. "Aren't you the cutest!" she exclaimed as she laid her finger for the strange animal to sniff it, to only find it almost biting her. "Hey! watch it." She tried putting on her angriest fact for the strange animal. The professor sure had a strange taste in pets, although she wouldn't judge. "Do you guys have any names? She wasn't expecting a response, and she didn't receive one. Did they even have names? Oh well. She would name them herself while she was here, she pointed for to a few of them... "You will be... Melon, and you'll be Berry..." Lastly, she pointed to another one, "And, you'll be Orange!" Of course, there were a few more... mouse teapot creatures- however, she couldn't name all of them she did have a task to do.
She left her new friends to explore the room and do whatever they had wanted to do, she went back and reached into her bag, to only pull out a can of glitter. "This would have to do for now..." She looked back at her new friends, "You guys will help me, right?" She took the glitter and walked around the room sprinkling it everywhere- almost making the floor of the classroom into a life-size disco ball.
She went back to her bag a few times to take out new bottles of glitter, before reaching her second to the last bottle she decided to save the last one if she really needed it. She looked around the room, noticing that the profession used... strange chairs instead of hard ones her other professors used. The poufs strange chair in question, looked like they haven't been replaced in years, and most likely something her grandma would have in her home- something dull. She took out a handful of colorful fabric and took out several poufs chairs and draped the fabric over them- she tried her best to resemble the rainbow theme when it came to the fabric order she did.
With the chairs looking more colorful and lively, she wondered what she could do next? She walked back to check on her friends, noticing one of them was attempting to climb up a candle. She completely missed out on the candles, and for a good reason as they seemed to be in poor condition. Reaching back into her bag, she took a handful of colorful candles and replaced several of the dead candles with brand new colorful ones.
Mildred sat down onto one of the strange chairs- oddly finding them very comfortable. She sat down and released a sigh of relief, the room seemed a lot more colorful now- although, she was far from done. After resting for a few minutes, she got back up and reached into her bag for a handful of paper and went off to drop them off by her mouselike friends and have them help her, she tried her best to make rainbow flowers with them by taking a green piece of paper and mashing + folding it so it would be thin almost like a stem, before finally tearing paper of each color gluing the back to make a circle- the end goal was for them to look like miniature rainbow flowers, they weren't huge or anything and resembled the size of an earring. They had looked decent enough to the point of if you squinted they would look like flowers, she handed them off to her mouse friends.
All that was left were a few rainbow garlands in which Mildred tried her best to tape around the some of the tables, it was hard as the silly string string got in her way most of the time and she had to move it around half of the time- after taping around the last garland she had stuffed into her bag, she took a step back and smiled at her work. It wasn't anything amazing, however she liked it and even if they were summoning dead people, she would join them if the classroom had always looked like this. Mildred was completely exhausted by the end of this and took a seat and planned to lay her head down for a few moments before heading out, a small nap with her friends wouldn't hurt, right?

Divination Ambush
The sudden passing of both @Hjørdis Jensen and @Caradoc Browne on the stairwell lit a fire under Rosa's feet. The woman took deep breaths as she ran up the stairs, boots landing with heavy thuds on each step. The pair of Heads had looked more like giddy children prancing by on their way down - the two of them had done something while she was away. She'd been betrayed by her own superior and sold out to the messy-haired clown that cared for the meek children. She didn't notice that they had left behind a sparkling trail of glitter behind themselves on the way down - and if she had, the thought would be pushed from her mind as she saw what a state they had left her classroom in.
The effort of cleaning it would be little to none for an experienced witch. As Rosalind assessed her classroom, she hummed, thinking that the cleanup would make a most fitting punishment for the next student who earned a detention. There were strings of... something, god knows what, covering everything. She picked some up and it fell apart on her fingers as she did, the woman letting out a disgusted groan as she flicked the remnants off of her fingernails.
As she was inspecting the tablecloth, she noticed the conspicuous absence of a few of her favorite items. The cups were gone, and in the place of a teapot was a very confused looking tortoise. She was no fool - she knew that this was a staple of transfiguration. She had practiced the same thing on her own, once or twice. That didn't make it any less irritating that her teacups were no doubt running around and hiding themselves under the rugs and curtains to avoid capture, nor that Caradoc Browne had come into her room and messed with her belongings. Obviously, this was meant to be some kind of statement. Rosalind reached out to pat the shell of the tortoise. No sense in taking her aggression out on the innocent thing.
But in her room, there was something much less innocent. A single Hufflepuff had come to aid in the pranking of Professor Kibitzer. Walking over to the sleepy girl, Professor Kibitzer clapped her hands together, hoping to wake the girl (though after making the trip up the stairwell, there were no guarantees). "Excuse me, young lady. How much of this is your doing?"

Boots clattering noisily on the floor, Chad hauled ass as he took the stair's steps two and three at a time, bounding up the annoyingly tall stairs like a gazelle. Well, a very strangely dressed and hyper gazelle. While he never shied away from any sort of exercise, he figured that there was a reason that he hadn't chosen Divination for one of his elective course- and those stupid stairs were probably the biggest reason. But just because he didn't take the class didn't mean that he didn't know of @Rosalind Kibitzer. After all, there were only so many professors in the school, so he at least knew of all of them, even if he had never personally talked to all of them. Unfortunately, if Kibitzer had already returned to her classroom... well, even if he and Scott weren't on speaking terms, he figured that at least Amadea would send flowers to his funeral.
Oh no. Oh no. Appearing in the doorway, Chad jumped into the room rather loudly. "Absolutely none of it is her fault!" he announced, walking over to the Divination professor with his best smile. "Professor Kibitzer, I don't believe we've met... you look lovelier up close, do you know that? I think I regret not taking Divination, now. Would you like a cape?" He was rambling, rambling wouldn't do him any good... Pausing to take a breath, Chad's smile still stayed planted on his face as he reached for one of his flags in his basket. "Of course you'd like a cape. Who doesn't like a cape?""Excuse me, young lady. How much of this is your doing?"
With a flick of his wrist and a flourish, Chad placed the flag around the professor's shoulders- if she was in a particularly bad mood, she could let it slide off her shoulders and to the ground, but she could always grab the edges to keep it wrapped around her, like a shawl. Old ladies liked shawls, right? Right! "This... this is for you, too," he added, placing an envelope in her hands, with "For: Professor Kibitzer" printed neatly on top.
Now to deal with @Mildred Wilson. "If you could excuse me for a moment, Professor," Chad said to the Divination professor, before turning to crouch by Mildred. "Hey..." he said quietly, shaking her shoulder gently. "Do you remember me, Mildred? I helped you jump over the hole in the floor, in the common room... although my name's Chad for today. Come on, the Professor's back... you might wanna head back to the common room, now." He would offer to carry her back to the common room, but he had one last stop to get to...
"It was a pleasure meeting you, face to face, Professor," Chad said with a wide smile. "Please don't blame Mildred- if anything, blame me. But I've got to get going, I've got one last professor to visit... but thank you for the chat, babes!" Kissing the professor on both cheeks, like the French, Chad promptly turned on his heel and fled from the room.
