Opeila was back on track with errands. Last month she had hardly done any, she had been mostly concentrated on homework. It had been worth it, her house won, but she was exhausted from all the work. Group activities were way more fun. And while she had organised some herself before, she felt like Professor Jensen would show her no mercy if she put another toe out of line. Opeila was not exactly ready to risk being expelled again, so she instead joined one of Griseldis' Errands, she had always liked them.

She had probably killed the chance to become a prefect, after all the effort she had made to cause half of her house to break the rules twice. Or... most of Hogwarts by organising the blossom ball. Yes, those events really exploded into her face.

The topic of the errand had tempted her as well. Animal shaped teabags. Opeila had gotten some from Gris on her twelfth birthday, but simply couldn't bring herself to finally use them. They were hanging from the end of her bed since march a rather pretty decoration in the otherwise plain room.
When the brunette was still in her enthusiastic phase around January and February, she had spent some time with her dormmate Amy Hayes to put some decorations on the wall. But then, after what happened with her mother and Jack Burnett after, she had taken them all off, depressed. She hadn't spoken with Amy in ages either. It seemed like her mood swings were actually scaring people off.

Opeila sighed when she entered the courtyard, annoyed with herself. This was meant to be a good day and she was already depressing herself. She forced herself to focus on the scene in the courtyard. Once mor it had been set up with tables, chairs and crafting material. But other than the make up thread she had attended with Ileen, this topic was something for her.

This time, Opeila had not thought of inviting someone, she was all by herself. Maybe she would talk with Gris a little later. A little time by herself could not be bad, right?
Opeila sat down at an empty table and grabbed some filter paper. She would make...
She didn't really know. She had fish in her dorm, she wanted something different. But a water animal for sure. A... A squid maybe? Thinking of the giant squid as a teabag made her chuckle a little.

It was a lovely day, the sun shining brightly down on the castle, grounds, and everything that had not managed to flee into the shade. Dealla was really just passing through - using the Courtyard as a short cut to go from one part of the castle into another, to take care of matters of terrible importance - but all of her plans came to a screeching halt when she noticed that, once again, the open space was set up for some sort of activity.
It seemed to become a sort of trend for her to stumble across these things without having a clue what they were about - she should start working on her information network at this school, because apparently it was abysmal. Perhaps she should start actually reading announcements?

The tables and chairs weren't anything new, but much more interesting were the things set up on them. Dee stepped closer, curiosity shining from her eyes, then frowned a little in confusion. There was... paper? Thin paper, like filter. And then some silky fabric, threads, scissors... a small display of biscuits and tea.
Searchingly, Dee scanned her surroundings for an explanation. There was usually a board explaining the activity somewhere, but apparently she had entered the Courtyard from the wrong direction, and the present house-elves were currently busy with other students.

Well. Then. Might as well ask someone, right?
It didn't take her long to spot her victim - there was a pretty girl with reddish-brown hair who she vaguely recognized as a fellow first-year, sitting alone at one of the tables, and obviously already working on whatever the goal of this errand was, which meant she most likely knew what it was about. Additional bonus: Dee would get to know someone new, and that often proved more interesting than the task itself. She had made some very interesting acquaintances via these activities in the past.

The smile that spread on Dee's face was both automatic and genuine as she stepped closer and sat down at the table, across from the girl who had already taken a piece of the filter paper.
"Hi! Do you mind if I sit with you?" Dealla greeted her brightly, grabbed a biscuit off a nearby plate, and completely ignored the irony of her asking that question after she had taken a seat. "I don't think we've met - I'm Dealla Prince! But please, just call me Dee?" She leaned forward to get a better look at the other girl's hands. "What are you making?"

Monkeys were Lizzie's favorite animal. No one could ever chance that decision. Nobody. She had just woken up one day and it had been her decision to fall in love with Monkeys. It also helped that she had developed a little crush on the Mascot of PG Tips. Which was a very handsome Monkey.

PG Tips was a revolutionary cup of tea. The Monkey really made its sales. It was just an amazing product. Especially, when someone got addicted to it and could just never stop. Which was actually just the best description of Lizzie ever. She either always drank Tea or Pumpkin juice. She had yet to find someone who had a supply of Tea Bags so she had been lacking on it. It wasn't that big off a deal. She always would love Tea but she had been taking a liking to natural Juices and water more than Caffeine.

The Ravenclaw walked out into the courtyard to find it was all set up for something. Another one of those errand things. Lizzie had barely gone to any errands. They seemed like a waste of time that she could have been using to create music but at any chance she could take Lizzie would flaunt off that she indeed loved Monkeys.

She turned around looking for a table with some spare seats. She thankfully, did find one and walked over quickly. One big blur shifted into two blurs. It was obvious there were two people already sat there. She moved in front of the two people hopping they would notice her and not just blatantly ignore the girl.

Lizzie noticed one Slytherin Girl and a Ravenclaw (Someone she barely recognized). She smiled slightly and sat down, "Hello. I hope you don't mind that I sit here." She looked at the table and saw thin pieces filter paper and a few pairs of scissors and sewing supplies.

"I'm Lizzie. Lizzie Verdine." She said picking up some of the filter paper. Around her were people making Tea bags so she obviously was going to do the same thing. She grabbed some scissors and started to cut out a Monkey cut out. She grinned and lifted in front of her face. It was going to look amazing and also (hopefully) taste amazing. This is going to be my favorite errand yet.

The blonde quickly eyed up the two other students sat at the table, "Do you know what your making? I'm doing a monkey. I want to make it just like the Monkey that represents that company for tea bags." She titled her head to the girls, questioning them politely.

She quickly cut out the other side making sure to keep it just slightly bigger than the first one. She had never made a tea bag before but she had seen people make them. Her mother used to like to make her own tea bags. Only as normal looking ones. It never was as exotic as an animal. It was always a missed opportunity for Lizzie's mother.

It was quite unfortunate that Lizzie had taken a liking to tea. There seemed to be a large war going on between coffee lovers and tea lovers. She defiantly did not want to get in the way of someone with a strong dislike of tea Rafa because it could literally ruin their relationship. It may have seemed over dramatic but some people would be surprised at how far someone’s beliefs go.

When Sylvain arrived in the courtyard, he recognized Lizzie and Dealla from his prior run-ins with them, so his introduction to the pair was both curt and swift. "Dee, Lizzie, it is a pleasure to see you again." He smiled his best formal smirk, and extended a hand to greet the student who hadn't been acquainted to him.

"M'Name's Sylvain, but you can call me Syl." He looked on at her with groggy eyes, her face seemed familiar to him. Hadn't he seen her and Flash working together a couple of times this year? Were they good friends? He'd have to do some questioning of his own to figure out the threads that connected them.

Sylvain pulled up a seat to the three girls who appeared to be meeting each other for the first time. "Mind if I grab a seat here?" He questioned hypothetically as he tucked himself into the table. He had consumed plenty of tea before, and quite enjoyed a warm cup of the stuff on a cold and foggy morning. Today was relatively nice out though, so he was excited to do some crafting in the courtyard to pass the time.

He sat reserved as the other girls questioned the wavy haired, small framed girl about what animal she was making. Sylvain intently listened for her answer, nodding in acknowledgement when Lizzie claimed she was going to make a monkey. He'd remembered a tea with a monkey as a mascot back home, but he'd never really cared to ask his mother about it.

Finally, he had decided on which creature he was interested in making. An otter would both be aesthetically pleasing, and stir his tea for him, he hoped. He started his work from the top of the tea bag, and made his way down, being careful and steady so as not to remove an excess of material.

He looked up to see the progress the others had made, hoping to use them as a benchmark for how far he should be coming along. He wasn't all that ahead, nor was he behind anyone, so he motioned to a house elf to bring him some thread so he could better detail the otter. He figured some whiskers and eyebrows would make for a fun look.

Reaching a good breaking point as the elf left to retrieve the requested crafting supplies, Sylvain dunked one of the caramel biscuits into a fresh cup of earl grey and delightedly hummed as he chewed away the flaky melty biscuit.

Opeila had only started to vaguely think of the shape of her teabag, when she got distracted by a voice. A female voice, but one she could not say she knew. When she looked up, she met the look of a pair of blue eyes... Which belonged two a brunette girl with a blue cloak. A Ravenclaw. Opeila had met a few of the ravens by now, but she had to say that she was mostly disappointed. Many of the Ravenclaws didn't seem to have a lot of that so highly valued intelligence.
It could be an advantage then that her expectations were not exactly high... She would not get irritated as quickly.

Opeila smiled at the girl, who now introduced herself as Dealla Prince and asked her to call her Dee. Another person who seemed to like nicknames. At least no silly animal pseudonyms this time, she thought, two specific Slytherin boys in mind. "Not at all, feel free to join me!", Opeila said, pointing on one of the other chairs at her table. "Nice to meet you Dee, I am Opeila Seilun. Just stay with Opeila if you like, as long as I am not given nicknames I am okay with either first or last name. What I am making? Uh... Good question honestly. I am thinking about making a squid... I am just uh... Not really talented when it comes to crafting things."

The Ravenclaws seemed to work like magnets on one another, soon another girl joined them, and then another boy. Opeila had never met so many ravens in one place... The girl introduced herself as Lizzie Verdine and the boy, who seemed to already know the other two, as he greeted both of them with names, as Syl. "Sure, sure, join us if you like!", she told the two. "Nice to meet you, I am Opeila." Then she turned to Lizzie. "A monkey sounds challenging. Have you ever made a teabag before?", she asked her.

Opeila grabbed a pair of scissors and stared at her filterpaper. She felt like she was going to ruin this inevitably. Her hands were made for magic and playing the violin, but not for creative crafting such as this. If she was honest, she had only really decided to take part in this errand because of Gris and the reward. It had been the same with the make up errand she had joined with Ileen. It had mostly been for the rewards.

After the many rule breaks she somehow got away with, she was sure that her head of house had an eye on her specifically. That had been one of the arguments for her to rather not join errands anymore. She could almost feel the disapproving looks in her neck every day she walked past a teacher in the corridors... although that could as well be her own imagination.
Still, although Professor Jensen had been there and although Opeila had not the slightest idea about make up, the errand had been a lot of fun. Ileen had braided her hair, something her grandmother had done the last time when Opeila was five.

The Slytherin looked first to Dealla and then to Syl. "Do you already know what you are going to make?" Yes, maybe she was procrastinating cutting the paper. Opeila really didn't want to destroy it. Maybe she should just put it back and watch the people who had actually an idea about what they were doing, instead of waisting the filterpaper.

Why even did she want to make the squid? The monster kept kind of convincing her to always give him all her food when she wanted to have breakfast by the lake and tried to kill her when she was at the lake for the first time.
...Still, a squid teabag would look good between the fish teabags that were already hanging from the end of her bed.

Dealla blinked when Opeila answered her question about what she was going to make with the statement that she was leaning towards a squid. A squid? All Dee had wanted to know was what the errand was about, but obviously her question had not been specific enough for that to translate correctly.
She had already opened her mouth to phrase the question again more clearly when they were joined by a pretty girl who Dee recognized as a fellow Ravenclaw first year. She had seen her around quite regularly, but to her memory, had never traded more than a few passing words. If they had exchanged names, Dee had completely forgotten it at this point.

It didn't matter though, since the blonde introduced herself again anyway, and Dee gifted her with a welcoming smile. She didn't mind more company. "Hi Lizzie!" she greeted back. "I'm Dee. It's nice to meet you. Oh, and hi Sylvain!" she chirped, quickly including the Ravenclaw boy in her greeting. They didn't know each other very well, but she was thinking she should challenge him to another game of chess at some point.
The following few sentences finally cleared up all of Dee's questions. Tea bags! So the bowls with what had looked to her like dried plants and flowers weren't decoration, they were tea leaves!
Suddenly, the rest of the conversation made sense, too.

"I don't think a monkey sounds much more difficult to make than a squid," she disagreed and pulled over a sheet of filter paper to herself. "All those legs you'd have to make!"
Animal-shaped tea bags, huh? That did sound difficult. The last time Dee had tried to craft an animal had been at the origami errand, where she had chosen to fold a dragon, and quickly learned to regret it, because it had turned out to be a lot more difficult than expected. And that had been with the help of instructions! (The end result had been adorable, however, and now lived on her bedside table where it sometimes fluttered around and occasionally sneezed flames.)

So - what should she make now? "I'm not sure yet," she replied thoughtfully to Opeila's question, staring up at the blue sky. "I want something cool - something imposing!" Her first thought had been another dragon, but, well. That might be a bit too much for her level of skill. "Oh and something water-related, maybe, since it's a tea bag."
Suddenly, the perfect idea struck her, and her eyes widened. "Oh! I know!" she exclaimed, gesticulating grandly to underline her revelation, and almost knocked over Sylvain's cup of tea. "Oops - sorry, Sylvain," she apologized quickly. "But, have any of you ever heard of the monster of Loch Ness? It's pretty famous in Muggle legends."

She had heard both the Muggle stories about the giant monster that lived in the Scottish Loch Ness from her mother, and her father's explanations that it was actually the biggest Kelpie that had ever been recorded. It seemed very fitting to her - it was definitely impressive, one of its kind, lived in a lake right here in Scotland, and, the maybe best part, since it was a Kelpie, it could change shape, so Dee couldn't really get it wrong, could she?
She'd heard it often took the shape of a sea serpent, which was maybe a bit too boring, but in Muggle stories it was often depicted as some sort of long extinct dinosaur native to water, with a long neck, a flat body, short tail, and four flippers. She was sure she could manage something of the sort.

Lizzie looked up to see Sylvain in front of her. She grinned widely and he sat down. It was nice to have someone she had already met at the table. He already seemed to now one of the other girls. Dee or something was her name.

I don’t think a monkey can be that hard.” Lizzie laughed quickly in retaliation to Opeila and started to sew her two pieces of the monkey together, “I mean the tail might be a bit tricky but I agree with Dee here. Eight legs is going to be hard to sew together.

She left open a small area for the tea leaves to go in as she continued, “No, I haven’t made a tea bag before but my mother does. She likes to make normal shaped ones though. A bit boring if you ask me.” The Ravenclaw shook her head to get some of the hair out from in front of her eyes.

It was defiantly boring. Imagine all the fun her mother could have trying to make a spider or something outrageous. The blonde widened her eyes at the sight of tea nearly being spilled. That was nearly treason in her eyes.

Tea was one of the best things in the world. She couldn’t just let it go to waste if it split. One time she had gotten so angry at her mother when she accidentally put two tea bags in a tea cup instead of one. First of all, it was wasting perfectly good tea bags. Second, it would defiantly be to strong and lastly she knew that no amount of milk would be able to weaken it.

It was such a disaster in Lizzie’s eyes that she had put it on herself to make all the cups of tea and coffee around the house. She had learnt everyone’s favorite way to drink their choice [herself, her mother and father due to her siblings being far too young o have coffee or tea] of by heart. It was only satisfactory in her mind.

She perked up at the mention of the myth of the water in the Lake District. “Actually, yes I have heard of the Lock Ness monster. It’s a legend. I’m sure it’s real because if Unicorns can live in this world so can Nessy.” She smiled and nodded her head while grabbing a few peppermint tea leaves.

She shoved a few hand full into the Monkey outline and grinned. It was nearly finished. She just had to sew the rest up and then her magical Monkey would be completed and beautiful. A beautiful, magnificent monkey. Lizzie grabbed the needles, thread and the outline. She quickly sewed it up.

The blonde lifted it up in front of her eyes and grinned wider then she had done that day. It was defiantly one of the best things she had made and that could be classed as an understatement. Lizzie grabbed a tea cup and saucer. She poured some water into the tea cup and plopped it into the water.

The Monkey sprigged to life. It looked up at Lizzie and nodded its head a little and then laid back against the rim of the tea cup. It seemed to have been planning something because it sat there for around two minutes. It looked like it had died.

Eventually, Lizzie leaned a bit closer and squinted her eyes. The Monkey turned its head quickly to lock eyes with the girl. It then probably grinned and splashed its tail and arms around. Lizzie scrunched her nose up and stood up quickly. “You… you splashed me!” She pointed at the Monkey.

She brought her hand towards her face. It was wet and hot. It was slightly burning. Lizzie looked towards the monkey and scowled. It had splashed her with boiling hot water. It wasn’t funny in Lizzie’s eyes but to the Monkey it probably was the scheme of the year. It looked like it had been laughed and Lizzie could swear she heard some Monkey noises coming from it.

Soon after the whole fiasco, Lizzie sat down and crossed her arms pouting. It wasn’t very nice of her Monkey to do that to her. It reflected her own personality though so she couldn’t really complain.

Truly the highlight of this event was going to be the tea and biscuits; at least that’s what Syl thought to himself. Sylvain decided that after he had finished making his tea bags, he would personally thank each of the elves that had helped prepare them and leave. The flaky chewiness of the biscuits, contrasting salty and sweet, together with the bitter flavors of black tea were something to truly take in. A moment of serenity followed by conversation was always a good time in his experience, but this seemed to be a situation where conversation was in passing. He’d have been delighted to discuss things more profound, but was ready to make haste with the errand itself.

After deciding to call her ‘Miss Opeila’ because of her natural aura of regality, Sylvain yawned and stretched his stance out to put one heel up on his knee and sit back, breaking posture and slouching in his chair to relax. He spread his arms across the chair as he waited for the elf to come back with his requested materials. “Yes Miss Opeila, I do know what I’d like to make, I’m going to make an otter. I think it’ll be a relatively simple one to make, so I’m going to put whiskers on it too.” He had really adhered to the idea of an otter right away without much thought, but the simplicity in cutting out a head and a tail shouldn’t be too difficult to figure out.

The elf arrived with the rest of the requisite components for Sylvain’s machinations. A bit of extra threads to finish off the whiskers and he’d load the tea leaves in. It was nice putting his hands to work, the focus really kept him from thinking much about anything else though as the conversation of squid shaped tea bags escaped him. He had stopped checking in with the others progress some time ago, and had instead buckled down to do his own. The face had come along nicely, and Sylvain was fond of the weight of his tea bag. He had overstuffed it a little, but that was his prerogative regardless. There was little harm in making his otter chubby.

As Dealla knocked a bit of tea in his lap, Sylvain’s attention snapped to the conversation again. His work had just nearly been finished, and he didn’t really want to stop, but she had asked him a question. A look of confusion crept across his face as his brain worked in overdrive to catch up to what she’d said. Nessy. She’d asked if he’d ever heard of Nessy. ”He wouldn’t be a Scotsman if he hadn’t heard ‘o’ Nessie,” his uncle had said at one point to him. Sylvain was of course also well aware he might not be a Scotsman. He hadn’t known his birth parents, but he loved his mothers. They’d just seldom encouraged him to participate. “Yeah,” he said rather disappointingly. “I’ve heard of Nessy.” Lizzie managed to fill them in on the details, and he didn’t really feel the need to correct her.

As Sylvain turned once more to finish his tea bags, Lizzie’s finished Monkey began wreaking havoc upon the crafting table. Tea flew from the cup like Mt. Vesuvius. Spewing molten liquid and proving definitively that monkeys were just little troublemakers. Obligated to guard his belongings as Lizzie’s monkey made a mess, Sylvain covered his progress with his sleeves to keep it dry. He had a bit of a chuckle as he thought of a funny joke. “Lizzie, I think I'd prefer Nessy, at least Nessy cleans up after herself!” He chuckled at his own joke hoping the others would join in. When they joined him, he thought the monkey was playful, and that its playful nature reminded him of Lizzie's charm.

Having had a laugh at the expense of Lizzie’s monkey, Sylvain finished his otter. Deciding instead to reserve the playfully chubby otter teabag for a more depressing day, Sylvain pocketed the craft and took another sip of his ½ spilt tea, dabbing the rest of the tea from his pants with a handkerchief. “It’s been wonderful crafting, but I believe I’ve more studying to catch up on.” He worried they’d consider him rude or inconsiderate, but he had to crunch if he wanted to achieve his dreams.

Griseldis had been feeling slightly guilty after what happened at the last Blossom Ball. However, during that time they were only lucky to be able to escape as soon as possible when the chaos hit. They were sort of late to the party and weren't far from the entrance anyway, but it still negatively affected a certain Ravenclaw she cared a lot and wasn't sure if he would ever want to go to an event with her again but she would understand and respect his decision. She also felt like for the first she did something very selfish for not helping most of the students at the Blossom Ball but Griseldis sadly knew that if she stayed, it would only create more disaster than help. She learned it the hard way from the Masquerade ball that happened last year, she also lost one of her good friends because of that.

The Gryffindor Prefect shook her head, trying to get rid of these worries out from her head and tried to focus on the present. Today she was able to host a new errand of her own for this month, thanks to her Chinese cousin who gave her the idea and inspiration making animal-shaped teabag crafting errand and it was best, the materials they got were all enchanted and would become alive if hot tea poured on the teabag and according to what kind of an animal was shaped into it would act like that certain animal. It would be a shame not to see how the participates were doing in the errand, so she visited the Courtyard once she finished her patrol. To her delight, there were really a lot of students were participating in the errand and most of them were enjoying crafting the teabags into their favorite animals. A Ravenclaw boy with unruly brown hair seemed to finish his errand, she watched as he walked away from the table and where she saw a familiar Slytherin sitting not far away with a few new students she had yet met.

"Opeila! It's so good to see you here! And hello you two.", the Gryffindor Prefect decided to greet the young Slytherin girl. There were also two other students sitting at the table with Opeila who were both Ravenclaws, they could possibly be her friends. She noticed the blond girl's face was wet as if someone splashed water at her. Fortunately, Griseldis always had a Chinese silk handkerchief with her that was made by her Chinese Aunt. She took it out from her robe pocket, handing it to the blond girl, "Here, use this to dry your face.", not sure if she would accept her handkerchief, Griseldis then looked up at them with a friendly smile, "So, are you guys having fun so far? What kind of animal teabags did you all make?" She asked them curiously.

Lizzie grumbled a bit and looked to see Sylvain walking away from the table. She quickly lifted one hand towards her mouth and shouted "Bye bye Syl." She grinned and waved at him hopping he would see her. It was a nice gesture between friends. "See you soon?" She called out again as something just to make herself understand that she wanted to see him again.

As a Gryffindor walked over, Lizzie tried to put on a small smile. She didn't want to make the wrong impression on the prefect who was organising thewhole thing. Not starting out on good terma would defiantly be bad for the Raven. She had already become sort of enemies with a Gryffindor she didn't want a relapse of what had happened in January.

The girl handed Lizzie a hankechief staing it was for her face. She had forgoteen her monkey had decided to go and splash her. The blonde took the cloth graciously with a small 'thank you' being squeaked out of her big mouth as she wiped her face a bit.

"I've made a monkey." She smiled sweetly and shoved her hand towards her teacup. It was still bathing in the tea making it more strong. Small streams of smoke were flowing out of the tea cup while the Monkey was sighing and sinking futher into the hot water.

She dusted herself off and grinned towards the three girls in front of her, "I better get going to. My homework will not do itself." Lizzie gave the cloth back to the Gryffindor and nodded her hand. She casually waved to them and walked off moving some of of her hair out of her face.
