When instead of answering anything even by accident the second year began to speak as if Alan was the idiot, he rolled his eyes at the other student. Alan moved his hands up and perhaps for the ounce of a moment Erik could have hoped that Alan would listen to him and give him a thumbs up. But Alan was not as simple as that and instead seemed to draw something into the air. Not just anything. With precision he would draw into the air what would look to resemble a shield and if Erik had paid any attention during his classes, he would recognize it to be the wand movement for the General counter charm.

The message was clear. Alan wanted the Slytherin to undo the spell he had cast on the third year and hoped that the Slytherin had enough decency to actually do so. This encounter had already turned out to be much more complicated than he had first anticipated when he had heard Santario talk about this boy. All Alan had wanted was to talk to the boy and perhaps get to know him and now he stood there, not only having dodged a punch earlier but now having been cursed on top of that. Clearly not this day.

The simpleton that was Alan rolled his eyes at Erik as he drew something in midair. Good god. You just don't know when to quite don't you?, the Slytherin thought to himself. As the boy kept on drawing it finally dawned on Erik what he was trying to do. The werewolf thought about the other's request to reverse the spell whilst tapping his finger to his lip. What to do, what to do with you? You're such a pain to deal with you sweet, sweet simpleton. The blond boy got sidetracked as he tried to imagine what Santario could possibly see in this sadly disappointing and frankly poor excuse of a wizard to call him a friend. Whatever it might be it sure as hell wasn't doing the trick for Erik. He shook his head as he thought back to the topic at hand.

Suddenly Erik sighed heavily and dramatically as he had finally made up his mind. If. I., Erik pointed at himself. Decide. To. Undo. The. spell. Do. You. Give. Me. Your. Word. You. Will. Shut. Up. And. Just. Leave. Me. Alone. Already? Thumbs. Up. For. Yes. Thumbs. Down. For. No. Okay? He spoke slowly and clearly so that the Gryffindork could clearly comprehend every single word that came out of Erik's mouth.

The third year glanced at the Slytherin and slowly got a little bit frustrated. But not for the reason one might think. The way the other kid spoke to him was confusing and weird and Alan knew that this was not the usual way Erik spoke either because he had just started to talk in this weird way and it was annoying because of how difficult it was to understand him like that.

He heard him talk about thumbs up and thumbs down in case he wanted to be freed from this stupid jinx which made Alan roll his eyes at the other student. He gave him a deadpan look and made a thumbs up since of course he would want him to stop the jinx he had put on him for whatever reason. "Just you wait until I can speak; I want to know why you would even do such a thing for no reason!" Alan had on top of that no idea how Santario was friends with him because she seemed like such a sweet person and Erik... Erik seemed to be everything but sweet. But Alan did not want to judge him too early because perhaps Erik actually was a nice guy no matter how slim the chance for that might seem at the moment.

The Gryffindork just did not seem to care. That much was as clear as day when Alan rolled his eyes. This was either because he couldn't possibly comprehend the situation and what this would mean for him or because this boy had some courage. To Erik the latter seemed not to be the case. How could he? Every time he had spoken he had seemed to be falling over his words. So, it was only natural for the Slytherin to think less of the Gryffindork. As should be. After all it was the natural order of things.

None the less the simpleton gave him a thumbs up. However, Erik was conflicted. Did he really want to undo what he had done? Because at this moment in time he had all the power and it felt good. It almost feels exhilarating. A shiver crossed his spine. The light-haired boy started to list all the pros and cons of reversing his spell inside his head. When he was finished the pros far outweighed the cons, but there was one negative point to it. Santario would probably hear of this and he wasn't sure if she would forgive him. Sure, he would be able to talk his way out of why he had tried to punch Alan and she couldn't possibly be mad about that fact as he had missed that oaf. However, about the spell, it would be a lot harder. Erik sighed once more. Fine. I'll remove the spell..., he reluctantly spoke. But remember! You said you wouldn't speak. Otherwise I'll put you right back into this situation. The werewolf pulled out the wand again from his back pocket and drew a shield in the air with it as he spoke: Finite Incantatem! The Slytherin knew he would regret this decision the moment he spoke the words.

Alan was not going to promise anything, especially not that he would not be speaking once the other kid would lift the curse. His eyes were slightly narrowed as he waited for the kid in front of him to finally stop the spells effects which were quite uncomfortable; it was a curse after all.

Once Erik actually spoke the counter spell, it was not long until Alan would speak up. He did not sound angry or anything, just slightly irritated by what had happened throughout their whole interaction. "Wh-Why w-would you e-even do th-that?", he would question the other kid. Just to be sure he would bring some safe distance between the two of them that would allow him to easily dodge any further attacks the other kid might have to offer. He also had his wand so if he were to attack, Alan might be forced to protect himself against the other kid.

"Y-You could have g-gotten i-into t-trouble if a professor o-or prefect had s-seen y-you!", he would scold the other kid with a light shake of his head. And to attack someone else? What did he think? Or perhaps that was it; that the other kid did not think at all about his actions.

Just like that Erik had lost his faith in humanity. This boy had just shattered his hopes and dreams. All he had asked was for a little peace and quiet and the Gryffindork seemed to be inept to fulfill such a simple request. Mental note to myself. Do NOT trust the lions. This will just come to bite you. The irony of this very fact wasn't unnoticed to Erik.

Why would I cast a spell on you? Well, isn't that painfully obvious by now? I would like not to speak to you. When I talk to you I feel like I'm being interrogated... Quietly he added. And not by Hogwarts finest... The Slytherin spoke in a normal tone now as he continued. If I didn't know any better I would think you were incapable of comprehending English. Erik had gotten a sudden idea. Wait a minute. Are you a foreigner? Like myself? It would've explained a lot.

The mere fact that the werewolf called the, rather daft, boy a foreigner seemed to make him stagger backwards. It wasn't an insult. Just a mere question. The brown haired boy went on to ask him what he would've done if a professor or prefect had seen the both of them. Well, normally I tend to avoid professors and prefects, but if they had spotted us I would've simply told them you were practicing a spell and it accidentally backfired. Accidents happen, right? Erik winked at him.

Alan wanted to glare at the other kid but then his face softened ever so slightly. "Sorry, I d-didn't mean t-to be i-interrogative..." he muttered with a cough and a crooked smile. The apology seemed quite sincere, it had actually not been his intention to anger the other kid but it looked like it did not take much to anger the other boy in the first place. He had not even waited for a second before trying to throw a punch or cast a hex. When he was asked whether he was a foreigner, Alan was sure that it was a question the other didn't actually want to be answered but the lion shook his head anyway to nullify that possibility right away before the other kid could consider it even more. "You d-do r-realize th-that wouldn't have w-worked, I c-could have simply d-denied that lie by sh-shaking my h-head," Alan pointed out with a frown as he crossed his arms in front of his chest, his gaze lingering on the Slytherin's face. "I won't be t-telling a p-professor a-as you didn't actually d-did any h-harm..." With a soft sigh the third year would shake his head softly. It was not meant as a threat and Alan was back to being calm, simply conversing with the student in front of himself.

It seemed miracles do exist. Erik experienced one first hand just now. The daft Gryffindork suddenly aplogized. It was refreshing to say the least. Yeah, yeah. It's not like it matters right now anyway. The damage has already been done and all that. The Slytherin waved his hand in a dismissive gesture. On the question whether or not he was in fact a foreigner, he shook his head. Just daft then. Got it. No big surprises there. Can't blame a man for hoping your parents didn't drop him on his head when he was younger. Oh, well... Though Erik knew it was quite unlike him, he did feel genuinely bad for the brown haired boy. It seemed life had dealt him a bad hand. He shouldn't be made fun of that. Hence, why Erik didn't utter a word about these thoughts out loud.

When the boy continued and said he would've called him out on his bluff the werewolf laughed. Of course you could've, but unlike yourself I would have been able to talk myself out of it and seeing you were not in the most talkative situation it was far more likely they have believed me. Certainly when I would've told the Professor we were friends. But none the less I'm glad to hear you won't snitch on me Gryffindork. That's... Erik couldn't believe he was going to complement the boy. He swallowed before he spoke again. Cool of you. I did not expect that from you. At all...

Alan would glance at the boy more or less curious about this. A hum left his lips as he slowly glanced the Slytherin over. When he noticed the slight shift in attitude, the fourth year would give a small smile and a nod. "I mean it wouldn't do me any good to bring you into trouble," he would tell the other kid with a slight shrug. A small smile tugged at his lip and overall his attitude was friendly now as he held out his hand for the other kid. "I think we took off on the wrong foot, I shouldn't have snooped around in your business," Alan was now making clear as he gave the other boy a hopeful glance and hoped that the boy might accept the apology. Alan still had no idea what he actually had been thinking when he just walked around asking for the boy. There was not really a reason it was him just acting on impulse but it had lead to them interacting which had been quite refreshing. Alan did not often meet people like the boy in front of him so this had been oddly nice; if one were to ignore the other's aggressive behavior towards him but perhaps this has just been a matter of circumstance. If Erik were to accept the handshake, then Alan's smile would slowly grow into a grin. He had actually no idea about a follow up but this had been oddly nice and weird, if it was possible to describe an encounter like that.
