But Fawkes Chaos wasn't no quitter. She was going to see her experiments through even if it was the last thing she did. She got up to go to the courtyard and put out the things for the experiment.
Today's experiment was to see how people were morally aligned. She was going to put two morally grey options and have them answer which one was right and why they thought it was. She hadn't put much thought into the scenarios, she really just wanted the week to end.
She brought her table out and set out the parchment and a box. The task was simple. Read the task, write who was right and why. Or who was wrong and why. Then place the parchment into the box to keep the answers unbiased. Simple.
She made sure the ink and quills were all ok before she left the area. She'd come back at the end of the day to collect it and then write out conclusions for all her experiments. Perhaps she'd tell people who participated in it about them. Maybe not. Depended on her mood the next day probably. For now? she was just going to head back to sleep. The scenario:ReducioYour friend tells you that they committed a crime. They explain that they are having trouble sleeping at night and feel you are the only one they can trust with their confession. A few days later, you read in the paper that someone has been arrested for your friend’s crime. Do you:
A) Go to the police and tell them what you know?
B) Encourage your friend to confess and warn him if he does not do so, you will tell?
C) Say nothing because you will not betray a friend’s confidence?
Found this on the internet
OOC instructions
- All are welcome to perform in the experiment!
- To participate all you need to do is put one post mentioning how you answered.
- For godmodding Fawkes: She's not present so don't!
- There's a two week deadline for this. After the two weeks are up i'll post a conclusion post based on the results of the experiment and update the experiment index.

Millie had just finished tending her mini herbs garden while she saw an unusual sight of table and box in the courtyard. Who put that? Why left there? Curious, she walked toward the table and see there's a task of scenario. Hm, is it Fawkes' experiment again? So she still doing this. How much experiments she conducted, though, Millie thought inwardly as she slowly reached her hand and read the scenario written on the parchment.
"Quite the scenario," Millie hummed as she took the quill and started to write her answer in another blank parchment. "Hope it's not based by Fawkes' actual situation."

Perhaps my answer is close to A.
The police had caught the wrong person while the culprit is my friend. I came to the police, asked them who's the person they caught and checking everything they told with what I knew from what my friend told me. Cross-checking. Just that. I ain't said about my friend's guilty to the police.

After she is done writing her answer, Millie fold the parchment neatly and put it inside the box that still seemed empty. Well, whatever. She found this spot by accident and the task given is quite interesting too that's why Millie filled the answer with what she thinking. Moreover, the experiment itself doesn't seem to have anything to do with the class either, unless there is moral class or something, so Millie just wrote without much thinking.

The end of the semester was drawing even nearer. With each Sunday, Robin can actively feel the school year slipping away through his fingers. The following Monday can either be another day of classes, or a nice day's relaxation back home. Though, this Sunday is something more than the usual waiting-for-the-train, it's father's day. The boy had written and sent an owl this morning to his dad, that and lunch was what occupied him till now.
Hogwarts had a magical ability to make him more active, or at least voluntarily do non-active activities outdoors. On a clear day with minimal chance of rain, reading under trees is quite enjoyable despite the risk of being bit by blood-sucking pests.
As the boy entered the courtyard, he spotted something he'd come to appreciate as a fun end-of-term exercise. It's another one of those tables hosting another one of those experiments, this time it looks like another one with questions to answer, seeing as there's a box and some writing tools. Robin walked towards it and read the instructions, realizing that it's a scenario meant to assess morality or maybe just your way of thinking.
"Your friend tells you that they committed a crime," Robin immediately started imagining this as his childhood friend Noah Kelly. He isn't malicious in any way, he's usually quite uptight. Still, the Hufflepuff boy sometimes gets himself in trouble through purposeful or accidental actions. Either way, it's funny using him as an example.
The scenario then wrote that someone else was arrested for Noah's crime, and the question is whether Robin would go to the police on his own, encourage Noah to confess and threaten him with the first option if he doesn't, or just don't tell. The "don't tell" option specifically said "say nothing because you will not betray a friend’s confidence", but if Robin doesn't tell, that wouldn't be the reason. Robin would just not want a part of this, therefore be a bystander like he usually is. That's one possible outcome, but Robin's precise decision will need to depend on more factors undiscussed in the prompt. What is the crime? What is the punishment? Who is the person currently arrested? How dangerous is his friend? Of course if we're talking about Noah, he isn't too dangerous as long as he doesn't give you any mysterious potions to drink. But if this were someone else, like if your friend was a gang leader or vengeful duelist—oh there's no way Robin would tell on him.
That being said, Robin might still encourage his friend to confess, especially if they're one of the friends he currently has. A mere suggestion probably won't put him in danger, and unlike the given option, Robin wouldn't threaten to tell the police himself if they don't confess. That just loops back to the certain death he wants to avoid.
No, you know what? There's no reason to lie to myself. Robin decided to go with his gut and wrote the answer down on a piece of parchment, writing a bit of an explanation to clarify his intent.
After he doubled checked his answer, Robin slipped it into the box and went on his way.I would personally choose c) Say nothing. Not to be loyal, just because I don't want to get involved in general. However, I think encouraging the friend to confess would be right, just not the threatening part.

Morning walks in the Courtyard has always been Olivia's favourite. The green soft grass and the cold breeze makes it the most comfortable place in hogwards. Just like any other day Olivia was walking in the courtyeard when she spotted a table with a box on it.
This is an odd place for someone to forget a box
Olivia didnt pay much attention to it until a girl went towards it. She read a piece of paper. Thought. Took a piece of paper. Wrote something. Then put it in the box. Then left.
Seconds later another person came and did the same thing. Out of curiosity Olivia went towards the box.
Ohhhhhhh its a social Experiment. My favourite.
Olivia gave a half smile while reading the quill. What an interesting scenario. Olivia didnt have much trouble figuring out the answer tho.
I would personally pick B
My friend came to me because he was vulnerable. I wouldnt ever break his trust as someone he trusted. But I will threaten him. That would be a lie though. Even if he chose not to tell I wouldnt. But If he felt guilty enough that he couldnt keep it a secret. I dont think he can watch someone else get in trouble for his faults.
Just like that Olivia was proud of her answer. She folded the paper and placed it inside the box and walked away with a big smile on her face.

Coded by Melissa BlakeI'm done with this. I had been sitting in the courtyard for, like, two hours, and kept repeating myself that this time, curiosity would not kill the cat.
I came here with the purpose of studying somewhere else that wasn't the library or the common room. Turns out fresh air gives fresh thoughts (or so mom said). But since I got here, a few people had came and done something at the table in here. I convinced myself that I was not going to look at that.
That way of thinking only lasted thirty more minutes and, in the end, curiosity killed this cat. But at least the cat died knowing.
I walked over to the table and read the thing. When I got into the context of the situation, my mind inmediately flew to Sky. If Sky killed someone, I'd be her alibi. My sister was my ride or die. That was such a stupid question.
C. Say nothing. I'd investigate the other person. If it was a bad person that did something really bad and didn't have justice for it, but is going to jail anyway for this, then why worry?
And even if it's a good person, they can prove their innocence. I would not betray Sky.
With my curiosity finally satisfied, I could go back to my studies in peace.Stamina: 6 | Evasion: 6 | Strength: 4 | Wisdom: 7 | Arc Power: 6 | Accuracy: 6

"𝓴𝓲𝓵𝓵 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓶 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓼𝓾𝓬𝓬𝓮𝓼𝓼 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓫𝓾𝓻𝔂 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓶 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓪 𝓼𝓶𝓲𝓵𝓮."
🅻auren had not intended to find parchment, quills, ink and a box on a random table on the courtyard at Hogwarts. The Slytherin had merely decided to go for a walk on the Hogwarts Grounds to relieve her stress about having to see her family again in mere weeks. They were the last people the young blonde wanted to see, and she had started to loathe her aunt ever since she received her letter in the owlery, about a month ago.
She was still greatly bothered by the letter. What the heck did her aunt mean when she said that Lauren should apologise to the members of the Vanes family? She was never in the wrong! Her family always was, and now her aunt had switched sides. She bit her lip indignantly. Her family was fucking stupid! Her aunt was even more stupid! She rolled her eyes. Her aunt had been the one person of who she looked up to, the one person who supported her when she was rejected by the Vanes family. Yet here she was, her back turned on by her aunt of all people!
The voices in her mind were grumbling about how Lauren 'never deserved' it, but they didn't seem to affect her like they would normally. Perhaps she had been subconsciously curious about the materials that had been left behind and just didn't spare enough energy to worry about those damned voices, which was a good thing. Lauren would just about give anything to get them out of her head. They were driving her crazy for the past year, and that was not exaggeration.
She vowed to herself that she would never have anything to do with her aunt again. She was always in the wrong! She was always so stupid, yet the Slytherin knew that she was the only person in her family who had made it possible to survive the majority of her family at family gatherings. She was the one person the young blonde could stick to and not get humiliated by. The Vanes family, quite simply, loathed Lauren. And Lauren was fine with that.
She pulled herself back into reality, and looked down at the quills and ink bottles and parchment and all the school supplies that was left lying on the table. The Slytherin's first thought was that they thought it would be a good idea to leave their things out in the open so that others would praise them on the quality of their school supplies, which was probably what a Ravenclaw would do, because they were stupid despite priding themselves in being intelligent. The Vanes family were the literal definition of stupidity. Frankly, she didn't know how Aunt Loratrix ended up in Slytherin. She didn't have a fucking brain.
Not wanting her aunt, who was undeserving of occupying any space in her mind due to her sheer stupidity, to control her thought directions, Lauren started to reach a hand towards the quill and parchment. Exams were closer than ever, and the young Slytherin would not let herself get anything beneath an 'O' this time. She would not get another 'A'. If she did, well... she didn't want to think about it.
Lauren was taken aback when she found out that there was a task on the table. She had just thought that it had been left behind. Then curiosity killed the cat, and the Slytherin reached towards it and read what was written. It seemed to be a scenario, and she was supposed to write her decision on a piece of parchment. That was easy. And interesting, too. She internally apologised to whoever the materials belonged to for mentally accusing them of being arrogant earlier on.
As she read the scenario a second time, the young blonde could completely understand the context, and the thoughts in her mind were overflowing so badly that it would have filled up a literal ocean. As if any of my friends would commit crimes! I'm more likely to do that than any of them, seriously! And I'm seriously not against crimes; I seriously respect people who commit them! I'll sooner congradulate them then turn them into the police! And I'm loyal to all of them! I wouldn't ever fucking betray any friend! I'd rather turn myself in even though I would not have committed the crime in the first place!
Lauren knew what she would choose. She wouldn't want another person to be arrested for her friend's crimes, because she knew what it felt like to be blamed for a crime of which she didn't commit, too many times, and it was not a good feeling. She would feel worse than anything if someone else got blamed instead of her friend, because they were innocent! Yet her loyalty to her friends were stronger than that, and no matter what, she would not betray them. But she could not say the same thing about herself. Seriously, she did not believe that she, Lauren Loratrix Vanes, was worth anything. She would gladly turn herself in even though she didn't commit the crime just to save both of them.
It wasn't an option, but nobody wrote that she couldn't add what she would do into the parchment she would write on. Dipping the tip of the quill in the ink, Lauren started to write, her words neat and organised:She put the parchment into the box and turned, not wanting anyone to see that she, Lauren Vanes, was the one who had written that. She didn't know why, but it just felt... embarrassing to her. Self-conscious as always.Personally, I would do none of these things. Perhaps my answer is closest to C), but what I would most truthfully do is to turn myself in just to save the both of them. I seriously do not care about myself; I am not worth either of them.
