Makeover and Manicures
@Alaric Equinox
Alan arrived in the Courtyard and glanced around curiously. George had told him about that errand or activity with manicures and whatnot and he had spoken about it with such excitement that the third year could not help but grow curious himself what this all was about. But now that he actually arrived out here he noticed that there were actually no other boys at all and it was kind of odd. But then he spotted the male professor he knew from the astronomy class and decided to approach the group anyway.
A bit unsure he stepped closer, his hands buried within the stomach pocket of his red hooded pullover as he stood there a little tense. He had half the mind to ask if this errand was for girls only but decided against it since he counted Professor Vernatis presence to be like a permission for boys to be there too so with some nervousness he decided to sit down near the astronomy professor. He saw the red eyes and they reminded him of Neculai's so the bit of familiarity made him give the professor a light smile before his gaze shifted towards all the tubes with nail polish in it. There were a lot of colors and after taking a deep breath he reached for a pretty shade of red that matched the color of his hoodie.
Holding the nail polish in his hand he turned and twisted it slightly as he tried to find some sort of instruction how to apply it. He had never applied nail polish before and had only seen his mom wear different shades of it. He gently shook the container as if that would help in any way which to no surprise did nothing in particular. "Hm," he would huff slightly as he uncapped the nail polish and glanced at Alaric. "Sir, do you know how t-to apply th-this?", he asked nervously as he held up the uncapped nail polish bottle, the brush part of it threatening to drip onto the table.

Makeover and Manicures
Pre-planned with @Rhea Bishop, @Cecily Quinn, and @Adam Harringtom── ❋ ──𝓐madea wasn't exactly the girly girl type. While she definitely enjoyed a nice manicure or a spa day, she didn't often go out of her way to make it happen for herself. She didn't really put too much thought into her outfits, unless she was dressing up for a special occasion. Makeup wasn't found caked on her face; she found it caused her to break out more. She loved always being active, which didn't always lend itself to having fancy acrylic nails; to Amadea, they seemed like too much of a hassle for the most part. All of the Muggles around her raved about them, though.
Thankfully, what had been set up today wasn't acrylic nail polish. It seemed like normal, regular nail polish to Amadea. There were also quite a few bins of makeup products as well. As she surveyed the area, looking at the people who had already come over to begin their spa day, Amadea couldn't help but think back to the many spa days she and her sister, Kat, would have after a stressful week of school. While their stressful weeks of school weren't exactly the same as others, since the two were homeschooled, they still found it quite beneficial to let off some steam by having a nice facial or getting dolled up for no reason. Amadea felt a pang of sadness as she thought about her sister; the one thing about Hogwarts that dimmed her spirits was the fact that she couldn't show it to Kat. The two girls were joined at the hip and Amadea felt like this new part of her was forcing her away from her sister; Kat could never understand the magical world as a Muggle. It was hard enough for Amadea to learn when she had first arrived at Hogwarts and she couldn't imagine trying to explain all of the little details about her magical life to Kat.
Sighing, Amadea sat down, surveying the color options to choose from, trying to push away the sad thoughts. The whole point of this was to have a good time and relax, she reminded herself. Thinking about sad thoughts wasn't going to help her state of relaxation. So, she took a deep breath and focused solely on the colors in front of her. There seemed to be every shade ever in the bin, which made the decision of what color to choose slightly more difficult. From all of her spa days with Kat, Amadea had become quite creative and artistic when it came to nail polish. She closed her eyes, trying to come up with a vision for her nails; she decided to stick with a spring/summery feel since it was so close to the end of the school year and opted for a nice shade of light purple and grabbed white and yellow for her design.
With the polish bottles in hand, Amadea started to head over to a more secluded area when the boxes of makeup caught her eye. She had never been the type of person to wear a heavy face of makeup; of course, if she was dressing up or going somewhere fancy, she'd go through a routine. On average, though, she often didn't put any makeup on. She found that she didn't like it very much and that she didn't need it. Sometimes she would swipe on the occasional mascara for the day, but going through the rigorous makeup routines that many teens do was not part of Amadea's normal schedule. Because of that, she had never quite mastered makeup. Sure, she could do the basics, but contouring was a foreign subject to the girl, as was creating the amazing eyeshadow looks that many makeup artists performed.
Hesitating, she decided to stick with her nails for now; maybe one of her friends would be able to help her with her makeup. She had made plans to meet up with Rhea, Cecily, and Adam. Rhea had been all for the idea; after all, Amadea had barely seen her Gryffindor friend all year and wanted to do some catching up before summer arrived. Cecily and Adam took some more convincing, but between the two, Amadea and Rhea had managed to convince them to come. After all, who could resist a nice, relaxing makeover day?
As Amadea walked over to a spot where she could begin her nails, she looked around to see if any of her friends had arrived yet. There weren't that many students and Amadea appeared to be the first of the group to arrive on scene. That wasn't too surprising to her; Amadea tried her best to be punctual, though throughout the years at Hogwarts she had proven to herself that lateness was sometimes unavoidable. There were many a time when she could be found dashing through the corridors at sonic speed, racing to get to her next class in time. However, when she could be early and on time to things, she always tried her best to be. She didn't mind not having any company; while social events usually stressed Amadea out, she found that these errands were actually quite nice. Even though there were a fair amount of people, they all spread out and found their own areas. Being the introvert she was, Amadea happily found a nice area at the end of the table and sat down, making sure there were three seats available next to her.
She decided to start on her nails, hoping that her friends wouldn't mind that she began without them. After all, she had a vision and she wanted to execute it before it was lost in her many thoughts. Plus, she figured getting the base coats out of the way before her friends arrived would give her more time to focus on her friends and catching up with them. She unscrewed the bottle to the purple nail polish and quickly coated her nails with it, letting them dry as she scanned the area looking for a familiar face.ReducioAmadea's nail art design

At this point, every time Dee walked past the Great Hall or into the Courtyard, she almost expected there to be some interesting activity, something new she could try, new people she could meet. It was something she looked forward to, and she appreciated the opportunity to just do something different than the mundane day-to-day trot provided - even more so if it didn't involve fires, giant flying insects, devil's snares, or dolls. Not that Dealla usually struggled with finding interesting things to do, but it was nice not having to do all the work for once, right?
She wasn't disappointed this day either, when she stepped out of the castle and into the Courtyard to find tables arranged in the space, equipped with chairs and mirrors and boxes on them.
Curiosity written all over her face, Dealla stepped closer to peek into one of the boxes, then scrunched up her nose doubtfully.
That was... makeup, wasn't it? Eye pencils, and... other things. In a variety of shades and sizes.
She didn't have much - or any - experience with that stuff, as the only older person in her life so far who owned makeup had been her mother, and Alexandra Prince didn't use any on a normal day. Dee hadn't really shown much interest in it, either. She was not entirely sure she would be able to draw a line anywhere near her eyes without poking into one by accident.
Curiosity taking over, Dealla picked up one of the blue pencils, inspected it closely, and used it to draw a smiley face on her wrist, before putting the cap back on and dropping it back into the box. Nope, she was not in the mood to risk losing an eye today.
The other box seemed a lot more colourful, and a lot more interesting, too. Nail polish. That was something she'd at least used before, a few times, although it didn't tend to stay on very long with the amount of time Dee usually spent running around outside.
Sitting down at the table with a delighted grin, she picked the most atrocious, neon-coloured, glittery nail polish she could find, and uncapped it. The colour was absolutely blinding, might cause eye cancer, and would certainly attract the attention of whoever made the mistake of glancing into her direction in the near future.
With the tip of her tongue peeking out between pink lips in concentration, Dealla painted the nail of her pinky finger in the most wonderfully obnoxious green colour she had ever seen. She managed to do it rather decently, too, without painting (much) of the skin around the nail.
But then, when she spread out her fingers, holding them up to inspect her work, disaster struck: She managed to knock over the bottle of nail polish, and in a tiny, graceful waterfall, the ugliest nail polish she had ever seen flowed from the bottle and spread on the table.
Dealla stared at it in dismay. She had never thought of herself as a particularly clumsy person, but recent events seemed to prove her wrong.

Ileen had decided to join Opeila for the errand even if the topic wasn’t really her favorite. To be honest, she didn’t care about makeup and stuff like that, but it was nice to be in Opeila’s company. She highly appreciated the invitation - especially since their last ‘ project’ literally had blown up in their faces.
Ileen was a bit confused about the fact to be invited by the other Slytherin - not in a bad way, but still… She seemed to have some friends as well as enemies, so why had she asked Ileen? Basically, she didn't want to think about it much. She was happy that Opeila integrated her and that she didn't have a bunch of people with her. I like her, Ileen decided and smiled. Opeila did not ask many questions and seemed to accept her as she was. A nice change, especially in Slytherin.
Ileen shaded her eyes with her hand as they stepped out onto the grounds and peered over to the professors. “Did you also take part in the embroidery errand? I can tell you I was really bad in that.” This time there were no colored fabrics, but like a thousand mirrors and other things that Ileen had never seen before. She shortly smiled at the Professors, when the two Slytherin girls reached the tables.
“I have no idea,” she laughed. “The only thing I can stylistically manage is hairstyles. Not the fancy ones,” she hurried to add. “More like ponytails and plaits.” With a sigh she stroked a strand of her long brown hair from her forehead. "And I had to learn this because they keep falling into my eyes and I can't see anything anymore."
She thought back to her ‘glorious’ victory party and grinned even wider. "I think some people in our house are experts in the makeup field." She carefully took a bottle of nail polish and held it examining next to Opeila's face to see if it would harmonize with her eyes. “I mean - did you see how some of them dressed up?” She snorted and shook her head in disbelief, then she sighed and put the nail polish back with a helpless giggle. "Sorry, I don't think I'm much help.”

It felt like Mars had done an awful lot of arts and crafts over the last month. They could see why—the professors were trying to distract from the universe slowly falling down on Hogwarts. Mars wasn't entirely in the loop, but they knew enough to know that Hogwarts was not doing so hot.
A small pang pulsed in their chest at the thought that maybe, Hogwarts might not open next year. That was surprising. They had started by not wanting to come at all and now—they could hardly stomach not being able to return. They definitely wanted to see their brothers, practically ached for it, but there was just, something about Hogwarts that induced a calmness in them. Like somehow, it would all turn out alright. The arts and crafts were certainly helping with that.
So, yet again, Mars found themselves in the Courtyard, watching as Professor Jensen followed Alaric around, setting a spread of what looked like nail polish and makeup on each of the tables the man set up. It was strange to see their Head of House in anything but a neat suit but the sleeveless top he was wearing definitely suited him. Mars hoped the sun wasn't too bad though.
The two of them finally finished setting up their event and took a seat at one of the tables. Alaric had unfurled an umbrella over the two of them. Huh, smart. It seemed like the two of them were conversing, Professor Jensen already with a nail brush perched in her hand.
Mars turned away from them, eyeing one of the close tables. There was a mirror there and a scattering of rainbow colors. Make-up, they understood. It was fun, something to make them sharper, crueler seeming than they were. There was something about being a little mean that was just—fun. Nail polish, well, they understood the appeal but it chipped too easily and it got on their perfectionist nerves that they couldn't get both hands to look the same. They weren't ambidextrous, after all. But again, creative expression. A living piece of artwork.
So, they walked over to one of the tables and took a seat. They already had enough make-up on but maybe, it wouldn't hurt to do their nails a bit. They picked up a black bottle and shook it, hearing the metal ball within clink on the glass sides.
As they shook with their right, they studied the nails of their left. They were short as always. It was quite difficult to play guitar with long nails after all. There wasn't much inspiration on the ridged surface. If I only paint my middle finger, will anyone yell at me? They laughed. That was an idea.
Finally satisfied with the consistency of the polish in the bottle, they twisted it open, wiping the extra liquid off on the rim. They'd painted their nails plenty of times before, especially at Estella's beckoning. In fact, they'd painted her nails too and it'd come out pretty well. Carefully, they painted a block of black over the middle finger of their left hand. They set the brush back into the bottle and lifted their hand to their lips, blowing on it lightly. They did the same to their right hand as well.
Adding a few more coats, they watched the black turn opaque. Screwing the cap back on the bottle, they scooted their chair out, swinging their legs so they could look out over the rest of the attendees. Maybe they could find someone else to make their victim paint their nails, seeing as they were done.
Their eyes wandered back to the two Head of Houses. Hmm. How much would Alaric object to them painting his nails? Or claws rather? That might be fun. Maybe they could ask Professor Jensen for makeup advice as well. She always seemed so perfectly made up.
Deciding it was a good idea, Mars made their way over to the table. As they arrived, a Gryffindor boy, one they'd seen around before, was already asking Alaric for help. Additionally, Crystal materialized, a set of painting tools in hand.
"Hi house mom! I mean, uh, Professor Jensen, Professor Equinox," she said, quickly correcting herself, "You mind if I could use one of your arms as a canvas? I found the face paint and wanted to do something with it."
Mars smiled. They couldn't wait to see what Crystal could do with face paint after seeing what she could do with a pencil. Quickly, they chimed in.
"If Crystal borrows one of your arms, can I borrow a hand? Maybe Alaric's, I'd hate to mess up your work, Professor Jensen," they snuck a look at the color options around them and then shot a grin at their Head of House, "And how adverse are you to me painting your claws rainbow?"

Makeover and Manicures
May knew that her friend @Ariana Walker was going to refuse her invitation to do makeover and manicure. Of course, May wasn't going to do makeover, for she despised the thought of using maquillage, but again, she had to admit that a little bit of manicure wouldn't do any harm to her delicate nails. She had been pleading her Gryffindor, lioness, close friend, to come with her, but she had been refusing all the time. But of course, nobody could get out of May's dreadful pleading and coaxing, so at last, Ariana Walker accepted. May again, puffing out her chest, went out of the corridors to the courtyard, where the professors @Alaric Equinox and @Hørdis Jensen were, as it seemed, painting their nails. She laughed at the thought of a Damphir painting it's nails, but again, she only did it inside her head, where nobody but herself could hear it. She saw her friend, @Katrina Walker and @Airlia Winter and waved at them. Wel, they would probably not see her, but it was worth doing. She had always wondered if her friend, that she was now pushing to the desk where the Errand was held, was a sibling or family of her second year (also Gryffindor) friend, Katrina Walker. But she didn't want to ask. For now.
She sat father carefully her friend into the chair, and smiled at her. "Now my dear, you will have to endure the manicure and makeover of Mademoiselle Moonstarrr." May said, and giggled at herself. They were going to have such a huge fun time.
She asked her friend what color of nail paint she would want.
Then, she looked at Ariana's very scared and bored face, and she tried to comfort her. "If you don't move everything will be fine. But if you do, you will see the worse of me, and your nails and your own face will be completely ruined and your crush/romance-which I don't know who it is, BUT I will know soon, will think you as a disgusting little bug. Shall we continue then?" May said. Instead of comforting her, it was obvious that it would scare her more. But May was eager to keep going, and May just knew that Ari would be satisfied with her choice.
"Now, I do know that you are really fond of red, so here," she put a bottle of nail polish in front of Ariana with a loud THUMP. "And I, my dear friend, will use this," she picked up another nail polish, this time, dark blue, "Is going to be mine. Capishe?"

Makeover and Manicures
Nell didn't know how sure she was about doing this. She never taken any interest in glamour and beauty. She dressed simply, her hair had always been the same, her nails had never been painted, nor had makeup ever been put on her face. But, a friend had convinced her, so she decided to go ahead and take a stab at it. No doubt about it, Nell was nervous about doing this.
She walked up to a somewhat empty table and took a seat shyly. She looked around and saw students of all houses. Gryffindors sat mostly to the left, Slytherins to the right, and Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws at the center. Nell knew it didn't matter, but she assumed students wanted to stay with their house mates. Nell didn't see many people she recognized, so she sat somewhere random.
Why did she even agree to this in the first place? Nell saw bins of something scattered around the room, so she decided to take a look. Getting up from her spot, she walked towards the first cluster of bins. She peeked inside carefully. There were tons of bottle of nail polish of various different colors. She gently rummaged through the bin until she found a simple color she liked. It was a delicate pale blue that reminded her of a Himalayan Blue Poppy, but lighter. She was quite pleased with her find, so she grabbed in and walked over to the next cluster of bins.
These bins were filled with pencils of many different colors. Nell wasn't quite sure what they were, but then she recalled her mother using one. She couldn't quite tell, but it had been for eyebrows or eyelashes or something. She walked past that cluster, still not quite understanding their exact uses. If she didn't even know what they were, why would she use them?
The next cluster of bins interested her greatly. Nell couldn't quite tell what they were, but she found out soon enough. She opened the round disc and what she thought was dust flew into her face. After waving her hand in front of her face, she looked closer. Some odd colored powder. This looked like something her mother had used too. What was is called...? Blush, that was it. Anyway, it wasn't something she was going to use.
Nell stared at the small glass bottle in her hands. She looked up and headed over to a table. This table was completely empty, which was good. Nell then realized she had no idea whatsoever how to paint nails. She had never done it, nor had she seen anyone do it. Nell assumed it was pretty self explanatory in the end. You get the little brush, and paint your nails with it. This wouldn't be so hard, or so she thought.
Nell placed her left hand out on the table and did her pinky finger first, seeing it was the farthest left. She took a deep and ran the small brush along her nail. The paint got on the edges of her finger as well as her actual nail. It was a disaster already. Maybe she should just give up and find something else to do. No, Nell was going to finish all ten of her fingers no matter how disastrous it looked.
She wiped the edge of her finger with a small napkin that was in front her. Now to the next nail. Wow, this was going to be a long day. She started on the next finger, her ring finger. The brush glided smoothly over the top of her nail, and, to her great surprise, none got on her finger. She was proud of herself indeed, but didn't say anything too soon due to what happened when she did Origami.
She continued along, each finger getting better and better than the last. At last, her right hand was finished with the first coat. Quite happy, she began her right hand. Being right-handed, this side was 10x more difficult than the last. Her motions were shaky and uneven, the paint most definitely going on her fingers this time. She finished her right hand, but it was indeed disastrous. She wondered if she just should have asked for help instead.
She began the second coat when a quite pesky and bothersome mosquito flew towards her. Out of pure instinct, she swatted at it. However, the bloody little thing flew right back at her. She swatted again, and the mosquito was gone, but she had another problem. The small bottle of nail polish had fallen over and was flowing towards the edge of the table.
Nell grabbed another small napkin and tried to stop the flow. There was no hope. Nell couldn't do anything, even as simple as nail painting, without destroying everything. Blame is on her clumsiness, for sure. Eventually, all the paint had been soaked up by the napkin leaving Nell with nothing else. She still needed to do her second coat.
She walked back over to the bins, wondering if there was a duplicate of the same color. She rummaged through as gently as she had before, and to her great surprise and relief, found the color. She smiled and walked back to her seat. Nell had to be careful this time for she doubted there would be three of the same color.
She glided the brush over each and every nail with great care and precision, eager to make this attempt successful. She finished the second coat after some tedious work and cleaned off the edges of her fingers. She was happy with her result, but it was missing something. Something small, but important. It finally came to her as she went grab a pale yellow nail polish bottle.
She grabbed a special tool to help her make what she needed to and began her work. Her design was coming out just as she hoped. Finally, the process, nail painting, that took her a few long hours was done. Her nails were now a pale blue without small pale yellow flowers on the surface. She cleaned up her area carefully and left the courtyard, oh-so-proud of her patient, careful work.

His precious feline Irene was seated comfortably on his broad shoulders. How she balanced herself so well was a true mystery but she did it flawlessly. The odd color gold and gooseberry green eyes scanning the path in front. Her silvery coat being further illuminated by the sunlight coming through. Ever since that certain incident the feline refused to leave Quinn's side no matter what, and to be honest because of recent events Quinn chose to keep her with him at all times too.
Walking into the courtyard Quinn was around 8 feet now. He had on jeans a goofy looney tunes graphic tee with tweetie bird and sylvester, and his usual black and yellow checkered chuck taylors. His fiery orange hair that had gotten a little long now. Was slicked back and tied into a very short pony tail that barely contained his curls. With heavy steps he walked over to one of the tables with the boxes and mirror arranged on them. Not at all confident that any of the chairs could hold his sheer weight, he got on his knees sitting back on his heels. It was uncomfortable but now he wasn't freakishly tall.
The most notable thing was that Quinn had darker and more freckles than normal. His face was just littered more than usual with the dark noticeable things. This was due to the fact Quinn always wore concealer to partially hide his freckles and make them look well...less noticeable. Yes Quinn was highly self conscious about his freckles. He was afraid of others knowing the fact he used makeup. The big, strong half-giant wears makeup and likes wearing makeup, bad enough he got looks at home. But it wasn't time to do that today. It was time to do something selfish that made him happy so today after hyping himself up for hours with his crafty little silver queen.
Now finally here and blushing lightly he had to block everyone out so he wouldn't get cold feet. His eyes shifted to the two boxes. A clear image of what he wanted to do and in fact something he saw in a magazine once. Picking the less colorful of the boxes, he wasn't mentally ready to try nail polish. He just....just couldn't do it. Absently scratching the purring Irene's head he pulled the box closer to him, carefully grabbing it. He still hadn't noticed anyone else or Alan for that matter stuck in his own little world.
Delicately with his large seemingly clumsy hands he took out each item from the box examining what he had to work with. Varying colors of blush, eye shadow, lip gloss, and pencil eyeliners, along with all of that came the face paint which he was already getting ideas for. This would be messy but if he was remembering the images correctly which he was confident in and imagining things right. Than hopefully things wouldn't turnout too terrible.
First things first, Quinn grabbed his precious feline who began to protest. Kissing her forehead and placing her down on the table where she could clearly see him he pointing his finger at her. "Nae nae nae. Ain't havin none o'that sass you. Ah need ye to be my judge. After all since you're obviously so regal and wise its only fitting that you be the one to judge me." He said in a lighthearted and dramatic fashion. Irene clearly approved sitting up straighter and meowing as if to say 'Well you are right about that.' Her tail began to sway back and forth brushing across the table in a slow lackadaisical manner.
After a full minute of seeing her stay there, he nodded his head satisfied. He would than carefully choose from his colors picking both warm and cool colors for the eyeshadow. He picked out simple jet black face point, a nice color of lip gloss that he felt would compliment his lips and of course the all important eyeliner pencils and other simple necessities. He even picked out some blush he thought might go well. Looking at his work he drew on his very limited knowledge and nervouslylooked into the mirror, pursing his lips. It suddenly became real that Quinn was about to put on makeup in front of a bunch of people. It also became apparent that Quinn would need help with this.
Though at the moment he was too embarrassed to do so. He was beginning to get in his own headspace and psyche himself out until he felt something soft and warm pressing against his shaking hands. It was Irene who was purring rather loudly trying to comfort him dropping her usual sassy demeanor. After another few minutes he finally settled on looking closely in the mirror and visualizing best he could with the colors at his disposal what he wanted. When that was done he started by taking up the reddish-pink eye shadow with the small brush. He had some experience with the brush but because of his massive hands he couldn't see right and was unsure if he was even applying it right.
With stubborn determination he continued onward clearly set on getting what he want accomplished. He wouldn't settle for crappy but he would settle for close, stopping halfway he looked at his work and saw that not only was it very messy he applied way too much to one area. It wouldn't blend well with the others. Sighing frustrated he rummaged through the box and thank god there were makeup wipes. Ever so carefully he opened the small packed fumbling with the wipes trying to get them out with his large fingers. Once doing so he wiped away the eye shadow and looked intently at the mirror to try again.
Quinn really needed help and advice on how to apply this damned bloody make up. He was unused to it but he was committed learning it. "Christ on a stick come on Healy."Looking around sheepishly with desperate and lost his eyes he hoped someone would come to his aid, anyone.Reducio

{ interacting | amadea campbell }
{ mention | adam harringtom, cecily quinn }AS the end of the year was approaching Rhea was not looking forward to it. While the other students were looking forward to attending summer camp or going back home, Rhea could only say she felt exactly the opposite. The year had been a good distraction from the horrors of her home life, but as the end loomed before her, she realized that there wasn't much more distraction left before she would have to face her family. Was it even a family? After what had happened, Rhea didn't know what they were anymore.
The entire year she had successfully quelled her fears and sadness by distracting herself with the happenings of the school and that was what she was planning on doing now as well. She had made plans with some of her good friends, Amadea Campbell, Adam Harringtom, and Cecily Quinn to attend the makeover station that had been set up by a few professors. Supposedly it was supposed to help the students relax and not worry about the end of the year coming up, and Rhea knew that this was exactly what she needed. The professors had set up bins filled with makeup and manicure supplies. As Rhea scanned the area she spotted a familiar plume of red hair sitting at one of the far tables. She quickly headed over to her friend.
"Amadea!" she said, smiling at the girl. Rhea's smile faltered as she thought about the lack of human interaction she would be facing in just a few short weeks. Like every other summer, Rhea expected that her parents would make sure to keep her isolated from the world for the few months she wasn't at school. It was horrible, and though she sometimes was able to have a reprieve at the notorious Pureblood dinner parties, Rhea was sure that her mother was not interested in attending any of those; she had to keep some of her dignity and Rhea was sure that there would be plenty of gossip at the parties. She sighed, trying to remind herself that this was a distraction. She shouldn't be worrying about this right now. Pushing the thoughts out of her mind, she plopped down next to the Hufflepuff who looked like she was concentrating on painting her nails. "Sorry I'm late," she said, though it looked like she was still one of the first to arrive from their group. Adam and Cecily were nowhere in sight.
"Oh, I should probably go grab some supplies," Rhea realized, noticing that she had brushed right by the boxes of makeup and nail polish. With a laugh, she stood back up and went over to look at the boxes. There were shades of every color imaginable in nail polish and the makeup bin held many different products. Rhea decided she was going to attempt a fancy eye look with today's makeover. She rummaged through, grabbing the products she needed that matched her skin tone and headed back over to the table where Amadea was seated. She began applying her base layer of makeup, going quickly so she could focus on her eyeshadow. While it possibly could turn out horribly, Rhea decided to go all out with the look. She wanted to make a statement.
She worked in silence for a few minutes before turning back to Amadea, realizing that she should probably speak to her friend. After all, there was no telling how long it would be until she was able to speak to her again. "It's been a while," she noted. "How have you been?" She picked up an eyeshadow brush and dipped it into a shade of blue, looking over at Amadea to hear her response.WC: 639

Makeover and Manicures
When Ileen asked Opeila if she had taken part in the Embroidery Errand, Opeila looked a little confused. There was an Embroidery Errand last month? Wow, she had lived under a stone it seemed. "I have not, sadly. I was really busy with homework, you know, I am happy I found time to help collecting the mandrakes and uh... octopi? I still don't know what the plural is. I need to look it up sometime."
Second thoughts Opeila didn't mind not having taken part in the errand. She had never done Embroidery in her life and she would have probably made a fool out of herself. "Also I don't believe you were that bad..."
Opeila continued to examine the box and only looked back up when Ileen told her she knew how to do hairstyles. "You do? That is so cool! Can you do something with mine? Like, just something simple. Like uh... braids maybe? ", she asked the other girl. Opeila wore her hair open most of the time, only two strands tied back maybe. She simply didn't really have the patients to stand in front of the mirror for a long time for some fancy hairstyle in the morning.
She nodded when Ileen commented on some of her classmates' experience with make up and the way they dressed. "Oh yeah, I have seen that. Sometimes I honestly don't know weither to feel like a kid about myself even more or to find them ridiculous. I mean... That is not normal with twelve, is it? My grandmother would strangle me if she ever saw me running around like that at my age!" Unsure she looked over to the table where Amara sat. She had dyed her hair and seemed to be pretty much done with her make up. Yes, that girl seemed to know how to make herself look like a twenty year old. Opeila admired her talent, but she had seen the girl's lack of judgement on what a good situation was to style herself like that. That made it a little less impressive.
Ileen held a bottle of green nail polish next to Opeila's face, probably comparing it with her eye colour. "Do you think it fits?", Opeila asked.
Her housemate seemed just as unsure about this event as Opeila did, but she didn't mind. She would view it as a game. They could experiment with the products, why did they have to look perfect when they were done. A smile appeard on Opeila's face. "What do you think about improvising? I don't think that talent was a requirement to join this errand, right? Let's just... experiment!"
