Wedding Day Solo

It was a nice day out, the sun shining straight through the window. Savannah was sitting near her mirror on a chair as her mother tried to brush her hair ”Ow!” she complained, her mother slightly pulled her hair and her head backwards. [color=4040FF]”It’s not my fault ye have the knottiest hair in the world!”[/color] Annah’s mother said in her defense, Savannah took a deep breath, she didn’t want to stress out her mother more. Today was a crazy day. Today was the day Savannah’s mother was getting married to Annah’s soon to be step-father. Annah’s mother and James have been engaged for months and finally are getting married, they were waiting for Annah to get back from Hogwarts to do the wedding. ”OW”

AN HOUR LATER
Annah straightened her white somewhat poofy dress and she put it on, and smiled at her figure in the mirror, she didn’t look half bad. Emily (Savannah’s literal evil twin sister) entered Annah’s room. Emily gave one glance at Annah and her eyes widened ”Whoa” was all she could squeak from her tiny pathetic mouth. Savannah looked at Emily and sighed ”Ye don’t look so bad yerself” Annah smiled awkwardly, her and her sister never had the best relationship, but maybe today will turn it around. Emily awkwardly reached her hand out, Savannah held it, kinda scared, but her sister just smiled, and Savannah couldn’t help but smile back. ”Let’s go!” she said, pulling Annah outside of the door.

AN HOUR LATER
Annah stood behind Emily, they were both bridesmaids, standing there, smiling at the beautiful sight of the wedding. And finally, the moment Emily and Savannah have been waiting for.... ”Ye may kiss the bride” and they kissed, Savannah’s eyes widened of disgust, but she couldn’t look away. Her sister seemed like that too.

A FEW MINUTES LATER
[color=4040FF]”Savannah, time to give a speech”[/color] their mother said. Annah stood up and walked where everyone could see her. Annah sighed and unfolded her speech. ”Hi... my name is Savannah Lilith Griffis, and today is the day my mother gets married to a wonderful man, James.” Savannah looked at James with a kind smile and continued ”So I must thank ye for many things. First, I’d like to thank ye for making my mother happy, I don’t want her to get sad again but, ever since my father left us, I felt like a piece of her was gone forever. So thank ye. Second, I would like to thank ye for being a kind man, proposing also sounds very tough. Third, I’d like to thank ye for being like a father to me and my sister. So thank ye” Savannah’s voice broke at the last syllable and she started crying tears of happiness, her mother took her back to her seat.

AN HOUR LATER
Annah and Emily were eating together at a table ”That speech was beautiful” Em said while eating some red velvet wedding cake, Annah blushed the color of the red cake ”No it wasn’t” she muttered ”Yes it was” ”No. It. Wasn’t” Annah felt like throwing the cake right in her sisters face, but controlled it. ”Annah! I’m being serious! It was great!” Emily took another bite of her cake ”Um, Em, can I ask ye something?” Annah’s rich Irish accent was a bit more American, like she was trying to do an impression of an American. Emily nodded, her mouth too full to speak ”Why until now were you so rude to me?” Annah’s accent went full American for an odd reason, she just felt like saying it like that. Emily sighed and swallowed ”I guess I was jealous that ye were magic... y’know, I grew up always thinking magic was fake, but then... ye went to a magic school an’ stuff!” Emily’s voice became more high pitched by the end of her sentence. Annah held Em’s hand ”Trust me, ye would not handle the craziness there” Annah snorted. Emily smiled slightly, and Annah told her all about the crazy things in her common room, a girl that she met named Grace Mint that became her best and only friend at Hogwarts.

AN HOUR LATER
The sun was beginning to set, and everybody was leaving, the car ride back home wasn’t silent, Emily and Annah we’re playing games in the back seats and laughing and having fun. Annah smiled, today was a great day.
