Lunchtime
Forwardated
On the night of 3rd September, it was a 3
Though he didn't get it, Friday was said to be the day that most people look forward to. It being the end of the work week and the two days they get for fun before the weekday starts again. To Demo, this was unfamiliar. There were no 'weekdays' and 'weekends' to him that hold any particular connotation. Neither positive or negative. He was homeschooled and everyday was essentialy some parts work - some parts fun. All within a span of a day, with a strict scheduling which straightforwardness embued comfort in him. But here? No such thing.
Sure there were class times, meal times, but no one was really…. watching him closely - unlike the staff back at home. So admitedly.. he skipped a few lessons, and a few meals, and… wandered about. Finding the effort of putting one foot in front of the other much more entertaining than some dull classroom. Don't get him wrong .. he was excited to learn about magic and all. If only they…. were taught in a different way that didn't involve him just sitting in a classroom, staring at a book, with the much too audible background noise of his peers.
So here he was, while people were having lunch, he was skipping with calculated steps. Avoid any cracks in the floor - easy enough. Step here, step there, step - Oh whats that?
*flash*
He halted in his skipping, the blinding flash invaded his eyes. He didn't even get to see where the flash was truly pointed at, but he was near enough to invade his vision and .. surprise him. He blinked a few times, his blurred vision coming together soon enough. He was totally fit the criteria of 'fine'. Or at least that's what he thought before he hit a wall.
