"Aw, thanks," Ros replied to Mystery Anne, who had complimented her. 'Maybe I will be that great,' she thought to herself, imagining herself flying through the sky, of people complimenting her in the hallways and of people gossipping about her greatness. That was a strange dream that everyone probably had- greatness and fame. It was a little weird for Rose, of all people to have that dream. When she thought about it, she didn't really want to have all of that attention- if she had any good attention, she was bound to attract some bad attention, too.
Then a pretty girl with blue tipped hair came over, introducing herself as Aurelia, or Auri.
Rose smiled, saying in her sweet, soft, American voice, "Hi, Auri. Of course you can join us. I'm Rose. Rose Moon. Nice to meet you." Rose patted the empty seat to her left, since Mystery Anne was on her right. Suppressing a smile, Rose noticed that though Mystery Anne had introduced Rose, it had conpletely slipped her mind to introduce herself. "And this is Mystery Anne," Rose added, doing a small gesture to Mystery Anne. Apparently they were introducing each other. Mystery Anne was very eccentric and happy and Rose didn't have the heart to point out every little thing she did.

"Pleasure to meet you Auri. And we definitely don't mind you joining us. The more the merrier, right?" She beamed at Aurelia and Aurelia beamed back, "So you're a quidditch fan too?"
"Yes, I am a huge Quidditch fan, my mom plays professionally and I want to as well", Aurelia smirked, brought her attention towards the Quidditch players again, and stared at them dreamily. She has always been fascinated with the sport since she was a little toddler and watched her mom play.
For a split second, she forgot about the two girls until the girl with the bob said: "Oh, sorry. Rose. This is Rose". "Oh", Auri looked back at the girls, "Nice to meet you, Rose" She thought about the name carefully and decided that it suits the girl quite well. Rose, rose... remember that Auri!
Aurelia was pulled out of her thoughts by Rose introducing herself: "Hi, Auri. Of course you can join us. I'm Rose. Rose Moon. Nice to meet you", Rose said. Aurelia smiled, something about this girl seemed familiar. She sat down next to Rose while considering that though. Finally, it came to her: "Oh, are you American? My cousins live over there and they talk just like you!" Aurelia grinned and thought of her two older twin cousins, that always told her about Ilvermorny school, but Auri was always convinced that Hogwarts is better.
Rose also introduced the other girl as Mystery Anne, which was a name Aurelia heard for the first time. Auri nodded her head slightly towards Mystery Anne in response and looked at the seeker, that was trying to catch the snitch. Seeker is a hard position, the whole team depends on you, Aurelia thought, and yet, something about playing a seeker thrilled her. After a minute of silence and focus on the game, Aurelia muttered: "Are you guys going to try out for the team?"

Wait- her mom plays professionally? That's crazy! And cool! "That's so cool!" Rose replied. "What team does she play for?" Being s professional Quidditch player was a big dream. It takes a lot of work, effort, and determination to get there. Rose could imagine Aurelia on the front page of the Daily Prophet or Hogwarts Headliner someday, up on a broom in quidditch robes.
At Aurelia's comment about her American cousins, Rose smiled, nodded, and replied, "I am. My mom and her whole family are American- they all went or are going to Illvermorny. I go over to America a lot." she felt very conscious of her American accent as she said this, her face turning a little pink.
When Aurelia asked if they were going to try out for the team, Rose answered, "Probably, though I probably won't get on the team. There are so many people who are better than me..." Rose had always not had much self-esteem, especially when it came to competition. She almost never thought of herself as better than other people, and often thought love yourself worse than other people. When she was younger, she felt pressured by her friends to join the drama club. All of them had gotten in, except for Rose. It seems fun to her until she actually auditioned. She had a lot of stage fright.

"That's so cool!" Rose replied. "What team does she play for?". Aurelia grinned at Rose's expression: "Holyhead Harpies, she's a chaser", she was very happy that her mum plays professionally, it was one of the few things Aurelia could brag about. When Auri was little she knew this girl, whose mother was an Auror. Since then, she didn't mention her parents much to others, in fear that they wouldn't come off "cool". "She taught me how to fly.. kind of. She didn't want me to have a headstart, so all I can do are the very basics. I still like playing Quidditch with my brother, even if I am still not very stable on the broom sometimes", Aurelia blushed slightly and quickly asked about Rose's American accent to change the topic. Rose replied: "I am. My mom and her whole family are American- they all went or are going to Illvermorny. I go over to America a lot." "That's awesome!", Aurelia exclaimed, and after noticing Rose's cheeks turning just the slightest bit pink, Auri added: "I wish I had an American accent, that would make me stand out from all the other kids. Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly fine with having a "normal" accent, but it would still be cool...", Aurelia's had a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Maybe you could try and teach me how to talk like an American!", Aurelia laughed, but somewhere inside she was serious.
Suddenly Aurelia's eyes darted forwards, she had seen a glint of gold and so had the seeker. The seeker nosedived towards the ground, so fast that she was only a blur. In the last second, she pulled her broom back up, the golden snitch clasped securely in her hand. Aurelia cheered alongside the team. How wonderful Quidditch is! Speaking of Quidditch, Auri asked the others about trying out for the Quidditch team, something she had been dreaming of doing even before her Hogwarts letter arrived. Rose replied to her question a bit shyly: "Probably, though I probably won't get on the team. There are so many people who are better than me...". Aurelia glared at Rose, she barely knew the girl but was still annoyed at her lack of self-confidence, she tensed up: "Don't say that! You have to believe in yourself, otherwise, you can forget about getting on the team"Aurelia's muscles were tense, her fist clenched. She remembered the day her mum told her that. Aurelia was 7 and crying over not being able to score the Quaffle as well as her older brothers. After the "game", her mother came towards her and told her this. Then as if the memory was comforting her, she relaxed. "We can train together", Aurelia said calmly, her eyes looking forward towards the pitch, "I mean that for all of us", she added smiling towards Mystery Anne. "But, you guys have to make an effort to believe in yourself", Aurelia glanced at Rose. Then, to break up the tension Aurelia asked: "Who do you guys want to play anyways?"

Rose didn't miss the smirk on Aurelia's face as she bragged about her mother. Rose didn't mind, of course. Her mother didn't have a job of any interest, and she didn't know what's it felt like to be proud of your mother's job. Well, professional job. Rose was very proud of how her mother had raised five children on her own. "That's so cool," she muttered.
At Aurelia's suggestion for Rose to teach her an American accent, followed by laughter, Rose laughed a little with her and said, "Maybe... I wouldn't be a good teacher, either. I have just always talked like this- it comes naturally. It's bot like I learned how to talk like this and have all of these tips and tricks to try," she shrugged.
Before, when she turned a little tiny bit pink, it hadn't been clear whether it was her or just the sunset, but when Aurelia told her to have confidence or go home, Rose definitely blushed her posture sagging just a tiny bit. "I know. It's just a bad habit- y'know, doubting myself."
Rose recomposed herself, straightening her posture and blinking away her blush.
"Yeah, we could train together... As for who I want to play as, I want to be a seeker. I know that's stereotypical and stuff, but it's true. What about you?"

Mystery Anne stared wide-eyed at their new acquaintance. Did she just mention her mom played professionally? She caught her breath in amazement as she continued to stare at Aurelia with her beautiful blue eyes and cool hair. She was really fascinated that Aurelia's mother played for the Holyhead Harpies. If she remembered correctly, they were pretty gutsy with an all female members. She'd once heard her mother complementing the team, though she is a Magpie fan.
"She taught you how to fly?!" As though Aurelia couldn't be cooler already, she tells them that her mother, a chaser of the Holyhead Harpies, taught her to fly. It didn't matter if she only taught her how to hold a broom. It still beats anyone and everyone she knew in her young life. "That's totally mental! Wicked! Absolutely fantastic!" she exclaimed remembering to join the conversation after just gaping at Aurelia.
She suddenly turned to Rose, "isn't she amazing? I can't even imagine it!" She shook her head, still quite amazed.
Then, before she knew it, they were talking about Rose being an American. "Woah! I didn't even notice. Though, now that Auri pointed it out, the difference is pretty obvious. It's different, but it's a good different," she said nodding to herself.
"That would be cool," commented Mystery Anne when Aurelia mentioned she'd like to learn how to speak just like Rose.
When the conversation suddenly became tensed, Mystery Anne looked at both girls in confusion. She missed the conversation because she was distracted by the shouts coming from the field - somebody almost fell - so she didn't know how to deal with it. Though, arguably, she wouldn't know what to do even if she heard the conversation. Luckily, Aurelia changed the topic by saying that they could train together.
"That would be great! You could totally teach us the things your mother told you!" she said excitedly. "I was just saying earlier that Rose would be great at being a seeker."
She then turned to Aurelia when Rose asked what she wanted. She wondered if Aurelia would want to be a chaser too, like her mother.

Aurelia laughed at Mystery Anne's comments and mumbled: "I don't think I have much of an advantage, especially over you guys..." A while after Rose's reply Aurelia said: "Sorry about that... I just don't like it when people doubt themselves, especially when I know that they are going to be awesome!", Aurelia smirked while looking at Rose, hoping she hadn't made a bad impression, she knew how hard it could be sometimes, to believe in yourself.
After learning from Rose that she wanted to be a seeker Aurelia said: "Oh, me too! Although I guess chaser wouldn't be too bad. If I don't make seeker I'll apply for chaser... ', Aurelia looked away, she knew that even if they both were made seekers, they couldn't play at the same time, which made Aurelia sad. "Even... if we both want the same position, we stay friends alright? I still need someone to talk about Quidditch.", she looked at Rose and then added, "I think you will be an awesome seeker". She smiled and patted Rose on the shoulder softly. "What about you Mystery Anne? Which position do you like?", said Aurelia her face slowly lighting up again. They kept on talking until at last, Aurelia realized that it was almost completely dark, and there was only a sliver of sun left on the horizon. The quidditch players had landed and were packing away their equipment. Aurelia watched the sun disappear between the grassy hills, she never wanted this day to end.

OOC: Yes, I have applied. We should wrap this up and maybe start that first flying class roleplay? It's a great idea. Or maybe we can do something in the common room or Gryff table? I'm willing to start it if you want me to, but I honestly don't care."No, that's okay, you're right," Rose answered. "Thank you."
Rose smiled broadly answering, "Of course we can stay friends! Just because we're competing for something doesn't mean we can't be friends." She understood rivalries (which were mostly composed of misunderstandings) and competitiveness between Houses for the cup, but unless someone bragged about their position, she didn't get why there had to be arguments because one person got a position and the other didn't. The person who got the position was better, that's why they got the position. Rose supposed it was based off of jealousy, mostly. "You, too- you'll be an amazing seeker." Rose returned the compliment. Aurelia asked what position Mystery Anne would like, and though Rose knew, she knew that Mystery Anne would probably not like for Rose to speak for her, so she kept her mouth shut and turned to listen to Mystery Anne.
As she saw the Quidditch players pack up, she knew that this conversation was going to end soon. She didn't want it to, but it would have to. Curfew was creeping closer by the minute. She knew they would get told to leave sooner or later, but didn't want to be the one to say they had to go.

"Oh, I've always imagined myself as a beater," answered Mystery Anne her eyes glittering at the chance to talk about her favorite position in a team. And she would have explained to her new friends - yes, she considered them now her friends - why being the beater beats being a keeper or seeker anytime. But then she noticed the grounds were already darker than it had been earlier. The noise had quieted below. There were no brooms flying about. When she looked down from their seat, she saw only a few students were left on the grounds and they were already securing the brooms and equipment they had used.
"Oh, its almost curfew!" exclaimed Mystery Anne looking back at the castle behind them. Instead of the golden light cast upon by the setting sun, they now saw shadows looming on the grounds below it. "I guess we better get back."
She stood and started to walk to the stairs leading to the grounds. "Come on, girls," she urged them as she waited by the stairs. She was a little worried that they might be breaking some rules if they stayed longer. They can continue their discussion later while they are safely and properly in their common room. "Let's talk about this back in the common room."
