Jay was reading in the library like any other Friday afternoon. Classes had finished and Jay had opted to head to the library instead of her dorm, after all what would she even do there exercise annoy her roommates by playing random stuff on her guitar.
The book she was reading was about old folk magic and she found it increasingly interesting to read, it told many fairy tales and had lost of information and theories about each of them, many of them did seem correct but as the writer said, they would never know.
As Jay continued reading, immersing herself into the world of old magic when she noticed a small book on the desk beside her, it had no title or any text on the front at all. Jay lifted it up and had a look, examining the book.
When she opened the first page she saw, in neat writing a name. ‘The property of Stelle Mims” Jay sighed in annoyance and was tempted to put the diary back down and ignore it’s existence, hoping that this Stelle Mims would find it later when she inevitably would come looking.
“You should go find her” A voice came from behind her and Jay whipped around to face whatever student or teacher had said it but it was only a portrait hung up behind her. He grinned and continued “after all it’s only common courtesy” he said, smiling wide, encouraging Jay to look for this girl.
Jay rolled her eyes and muttered “shut up…” but in the end, she decided to go looking for Stelle and give her back her diary, besides, who knew what she might find looking in places she had never thought to look before.
Now where should I start?
