Date : Unknownth, 2026 Word Count: : 211 It was carnage in the second round. Absolute carnage. Avery had no words to express how shocked she was to see what had unfolded. Spells shot everywhere as wands flew out of the air and a certain first year she now knew as Dido was flung to the floor unconscious. Avery stared at the knocked out girl for a moment and blinking. Wow. All there was to say was, wow.
"Wow. Well, I guess we need to get Ms. Bleaklane to the hospital wing. She is officially knocked out and out of the game. Ms. Castillo is now our last standing member of team one." Avery explained. She was still shocked at what had happened, but this was the way of dueling. She had to move on.
"Anyways, Ms. Russetwood has seemed to have lost her wand in all the chaos. Better find that quick!" Avery commented to the fifth year. It seemed only Amethyst and Mikaela had been left unscathed, but for how long that would last Avery did not know. She feared that the end was coming near. She just wished strength upon all the remaining duelists.
Avery shook her head and prepared for round three that was now beginning. "Alright guys. Round three has now begun. Good luck."

I may have let myself get a little... excited. I mean, yes, I wanted to hurt Dido, but I didn't want to hurt her that much. Not to knock her out.
Well, one gone, one left. Guinevere's wand was missing now, which left me alone with Castillo. I still had Dido in my mind, but I had to focus. I could send her a chocolate to the hospital wing later. Maybe. Like, yes, I hate Bleaklane, but as much as I despise her as a person, I had no right to go after her like that. I'm no better than her if I did what I did.
I pointed my wand at her, taking just a step forward, biting my lip as I calculated my chances. I had to find a way to protect my partner, just in case the other Slytherin wanted to attack her instead of me, considering the fact that she didn't have her wand and, therefore, powerless.
But I didn't want to hurt her either. Not like I hurt Dido. I looked at the girl in the eyes, trying to guess her next move. I needed something harmless, but effective. And who knew what her intention was?Stamina: 6 | Evasion: 6 | Strength: 4 | Wisdom: 7 | Arc Power: 6 | Accuracy: 6

Dido was knocked out in the very second round.
Amethyst felt bad for the younger girl; she was rather brave.
They made a good pair – her and Dido.
She felt the need to avenge her.
But oh, it wasn't so easy to duel against a fifth year.
Maybe she would simply drop by the hospital wing later on.
Not to mention the fact she might end up in the hospital wing herself.
At least she was able to strip the older Slytherin of her wand; that would give her some time to think, to attack and to defend herself from suffering Dido's fate, although she could feel it coming.
Quidditch felt easier than duelling. Not that her magic was weak or she couldn't make good use of her acquired knowledge.
But duels required quick thinking, and she was better at acting quickly.
She decided at the moment that she was not applying for the official Slytherin duelling team any time soon.
At least she was not hit by any spell as of yet. She wondered if Dido was in pain before passing out. Amethyst could just hope the pain that might come her way wouldn't be too bad.
Amethyst readied herself for whatever she had put herself into.

All it took was a swish of the wand and a loud cry of "FLIPENDO!!!" for one of the opponents to be knocked out. It was the girl whom Mikaela seemed to be having an issue with, Bleaklane. Guinevere raised her eyebrows to turn away from the unconscious girl on the ground and give a half scrutinizing look at the Ravenclaw. What on earth had the snakelet done to deserve such wrath? The fifth year herself had only aimed for her because it seemed like she was an easier target after round one. ---Nonetheless, she had never actually witnessed a knockout in two rounds before, and turned her attention to the remaining opponent. She spun her wand around in her fingers... wait... where was it? She could've sworn she was holding it just moments ago- Merlin, she'd used it to cast that spell! Then she looked at the smug expression on Amethyst's face, and it clicked that yours truly must have been the target of a Disarming Charm. She groaned under her breath, barely containing an eye roll. With Dido gone, it seemed both teams had one thing in mind as their goal. Destroy the other team and win. It was evident in how the first and second year dueled it out as the fifth year searched for her own wand in order to rejoin the chaos that was going on. It was going to be an interesting match.
Avery winced as Mikaela was his. "Ouch! That wasn't a nice hit at all! Good luck with that one!" She called out to Mikaela who was probably more focused on what had just happened to her rather than Avery's commentary.
Then there was Amethyst. Avery honestly felt bad for her fellow second year. The girl had lost her partner and would now be facing the brunt of the force of attacks. That would suck. Really suck. Things just got worse for Amethyst as the nausea attacked thanks to Mikaela's successful Curse of the Bogies. Avery winced. That curse had got to have hurt.
"Well, there are no words to explain how wild this round was, but now is not the time to ponder. Round four is about to begin! Prepare your wands and your minds!" Avery called out.

Coded by Melissa BlakeThe Saints weren't in my favor. Well, they were and, at the same time, they weren't. What the hell was happening?
Guinevere was still looking for her wand (I think she finally found it) as my spell hit. Now, the curse of the bogies was not one I liked to use, but in cases like this one, deseperate situations meant deseperate solutions.
But my joy didn't last long, because just three seconds later, I was laughing. I mean, laughing bad. I didn't recognize the spell, so probably it was not from first year. Low. That was low.
But, in the other hand, fair. If I had resorted to using the Curse of the Bogies, why not use a new spell too? We're all losing this one.
I didn't even bother on listening to whatever the hell our moderator was saying. I was too busy trying to get rid of the silver hands tickling me. This was embarrassing, to say the least. And I swear to all Saints, this is the last time I'm letting myself be seen this vulnerable.

| --- | ---Guinevere spent approximately twenty seconds on the floor, searching for her wand. She damned the stupid chopstick for behaving unlike an esteemed aspen wand should- supposedly the most suitable wand for dueling- as well as for blending in so seamlessly with the wood floor. She tried to hurry, not wanting to miss a full round of the duel, but of course that was what had happened. In that time, Mikaela had fired off a mean Curse of the Bogies, and in turn was hit with the tickling spell. It was one of the worst inventions, in Guinevere’s opinion. Straight from hell; whoever decided it would be good to teach children how to make each other gross and sick was an absolute menace. Her preferred dueling style was that with ample action: robes on fire, people flying across the piste, rebounded spells… definitely not snot and coughing and retching. If there ever was a duel like the former going on, one could bet all their Hogsmeade allowance that Guinevere would be watching. Certainly, actually participating in a duel of that sort would not be as pleasing. ——-Guinevere gripped her wand tightly when she finally got a hold of it. Crawling on the floor was certainly not the type of activity a self-respecting person would engage in. She stood up in a hurry, dusting off her sleeves from the centuries of grime on the dueling club floors. |
