It was a given that any student would be so delighted to know that summer was coming. For Angel, she was one of the majority always. Many events to attend to. Though inside she would feel a sense of anguish. Irritated even. Especially her rivals and enemies she'd label. Were always trying to act like their skills were superior than others it was not enlightening. Always up her tail.

Now she was not the type to attract any sort of attention to herself but for whatever reason whatever it may have been, people were always coming up to her in shock. What for? She was just like the other kids, she was not special in anyway, disregarding her unique lineage she'd like to think that there was nothing anyone should be intrigued about her. Not that she knew anything of the like.

So now her arrival in the Owlery was nothing more than a way to make a quick rant to her cousin Vasya. Vasya Knyazeva. One of the people she believes to look up to, her cousin. However their beliefs would clash. Hers was more traditional while Angel had a more lax gaze. She didn't believe in overworking or acting traditional. Yes traditions should be kept, some of them can have the option to be more reserved.

As she crept in closer, letters were piling up to a concerning degree. But not a lot to the point it would fall over anyone unlucky to be placed in the way of the letters. Going much further than she wanted to, she took a breathe and then grabbed a parchment.

Taking her quill out of it's place in her ritzy bag, she had a white red quill. Embroidered in the most elegant patterns. She sighed and without haste, dipped her quill in obsidian ink. Which moved in a direful manner.

Then as if with exasperation and vexation she swiftly drew the lines in handwritten cursive in writing. All her grievances about the year were all in there. The beautiful swan filled with irritation. In bound to the errand at hand.

There was a test. The thought bounced around in the lion's head. There was a test and she would have to pass if she wanted her parents to continue thinking that she was following their instructions. She had to. She had to get an outstanding mark. Otherwise, as had been made evident, her overall grade would go down and she would be banned from all extracurricular activities over the next summer. Seriously? Dahlia remained earnest in her attempt to discredit her parents' words. It was not as if she had been banned from anything before.

The witch's thoughts roused her from her slumber. Test. Right. She sat up, blinking slowly. gaze flitted over her messy belongings. Her choice to sneak out the prior evening, only returning to her bed at an hour nearing daybreak, was perhaps one of Dahlia's most regrettable life choices for a school night. She could feel the pounding in her head as if every modicum of information the girl had studied was in the midst of a protest and attempting to escape her brain once and for all. Good riddance. The Gryffindor could not bring herself to care at this hour.

She could, however, send an owl to her parents in preparation for her flunking grade. Yes. That was a superb idea. If she managed to reach them via owl before information spread then she could blame it on the teacher preparing an exam above the intended class level. It would not be ideal but her parents, perhaps, would understand.

Dahlia threw on her robes in what was arguably a messy fashion, running her fingers through her hair as to organize it. Her feet moved on their own, carrying her with haste to the owlery. She had to send the owl before breakfast— the sooner the better. She rounded the corner, nearly launching herself into Hogwarts' designated mail room. The matter was urgent, or so Dahlia had decided.

Her reckless movement brought her face-to-back with one excessively pretentious Slytherin. Dahlia remembered her prior encounter with Angel Dayes. Her eyebrows arched at the thought. It was rare to find a twelve-year-old with the soul of a fourty-eight year old ministry suit but, despite the odds, her companion managed to pull it off with all seriousness required by the role.

Dahlia's gaze could not help but migrate to whatever it was Angel had decided to write at this hour. She had never claimed a commitment to privacy in the past.
