The Red Queen's Labyrinth Group 7
Giddy with adrenaline, the raven ran over the now still bridge. It was almost like running across trampolines – the reliable pull of gravity suddenly gone along with the steady ground, replaced by a shifting space, too responsive to grant support. Still, the momentum of her brisk start carried her through the path, her feet only stumbling over each other when they reached grass, the change surprising her once more.
Despite her earlier declaration, she was hardly any competition to the older boy, arriving beats behind him, 'In for the game, not the win,' she'd remark, chin high and stride quickening even as her smile remained plastered over her face. Waving the sparkling waters goodbye, she entered the next area, observing it with a quirk of her brows. A sound of ruffling paper drew her gaze up and onto the grumpy, loud guards. Highly flammable, she thought, her nose scrunching up as she shot a look in Zach's direction, 'Gotta be more careful with fire this time,' she murmured, thumb pointed up at their welcoming party. She wasn't saying no to the destructive element, just urging for caution.
'Nope, just passing through!' hands cupping her mouth, she adressed the small army, 'if you just let us leave we won't cause any trouble,' she promised. But alas, the residence of this strange maze seemed to be hostile on default, a heavy gate soon blocking their path, 'or not.'
Noting the beating hearts the raven quickly put two and two together. The sight admittedly made her a little uneasy – sure, the hearts weren't anatomically correct, but just the idea of them being potentially alive made something stir in the depth of her stomach. Grimacing, her hand dropped into her bag once more, 'You lot better back up,' she said to her group and the cards both before pulling out the Dogbreath Potion, opening it with a soft pop and downing it in few gulps. Taking a deep breath through her nose, she then released it through her 'o' shaped mouth, aiming at the gate.

Natasha|Others
SPLASH!
Natasha yelled in surprise as she tripped, plunging headlong into the water. She coughed as her head broke the surface, trying to get her bearings. "Oh great," she muttered under her breath, "I'll have to wash my hair AGAIN before the ball tonight."
Glancing up as Landon neared her, she offered him a smile, taking his hand and letting herself get pulled out of the water. She gave a grateful smile towards Sabrina for the towel and wrapped it around herself. Grinning at her comment, told her "You're welcome to jump in the water, if you want!"
Laughing as Sabrina instigated a race, she ran after the two, at a slightly more measured pace. She did NOT want a repeat of falling into the water, thankyou very much.
Natasha followed the group towards the next obstacle, her eyebrows impossibly high when they reached the area. "Are those... Card Soldiers?" she asked incredulously.
Their less then friendly comments made it clear that they would be of no help in passing the iron door that had appeared out of the ground. She glanced at the shimmering hearts that seemed to hovering in mid-air. It reminded her of 'lives' that characters had in video games.
"You lot better back up."
She moved to the side as Sabrina pulled out and drank a potion, before turning towards the rest of the group, an idea forming in her mind.
"Hear me out" she began. For her friends back home, this would be their cue to immediately shut her down before she shared one of her more crazier ideas. Alas for the group around her, they didn't know her well enough to argue. "What if we levitated each other over the walls?"
Suddenly, realizing something, she added, "Never mind, that would mean we had to leave the last person behind, and that definitely won't do."
Choosing to ignore that there were SEVERAL other reasons why people shouldn't levitate each other over walls, she glanced at the large iron gates and decided to follow Sarina's lead in attacking them. She brandished her wand, went through the wand movement in her head before casting, "Flipendo!"
