A Peaceful Day at the Lake
Cody had walked to the Lake after being cooped up in the Ravenclaw common room all afternoon, so he decided to get some fresh air. Cody grabbed his art set, which he had gotten as a gift from his aunt since he loved to draw.
The young second-year leaned against an old oak tree, watching the birds fly, the wind blowing through the trees, the smell of the lake water filling his lungs as he smiled softly to himself.
Cody took out his art supplies from his art bag and started drawing in pencil, soft sketches filling his huge art book as he turned a page and began a new drawing.
Cody decided to draw the lake as he hummed, the page filling with an array of colours. He used gentle strokes, not wanting to rush his artwork.
"Hmm, maybe I should add some shimmer to the water", Cody mumbled as he grabbed a sparkly white pencil and gently added the shimmer.
Cody then grabbed a dark forest-green pencil as he coloured in the trees, making the leaves look realistic.
Cody smiled softly as he continued colouring and sketching, feeling at peace for once, able to breathe without tension.
"This is the life", Cody mumbled, smiling "Loving the peace, quiet, and just drawing till my heart's content."
Cody continued drawing as he let the cool air wash over him, feeling at peace, taking in the scenery. His pencils scratched against the paper, and he added lots of details to his drawing, making sure it looked perfect.
He smiled, liking how his drawing was going so far, as he added birds flying in the sky and others perched on branches, chirping to each other as if they were having a conversation.
Cody chuckled softly, "This is looking good", he said to himself, shading in bits and pieces in his drawing.
