Jade was born on September 8, 2000 in Moscow, Russia, to her parents Helena and Rian Blackwood. The young couple was overjoyed the day their one and only daughter was born. It was a day that marked a new light for the family and the dawning of a new era to come.

Jade's mother, Helena, who was born and raised in Moscow, was a naturally gifted dancer. She spent many years before Jade was born performing on stage with her favorite dance being ballet. She retired to mother Jade when she was born. Her father, Rian, was an auror born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. He spent many years working there with the ministry until opportunity brought him to Russia where some of his roots could be found because of his distant grandfather. It was at Red Square where the two met and fell in love.

By the age of six, it was clear that Jade was special. She loved the outdoors, but most of all she was fascinated with animals and from a young age learning of her family history. Though, one fateful day in the dead of winter disaster struck. There was a bad accident. Rian was driving a car to the Red Square with Helena and Jade in hopes of vising the place where Helena and Rian had first met for their anniversary.

Rian had not realized how slick the road was. One moment the family was happily driving along as the world passed by and in the next instant everything went bad. The tires slipped on a piece of ice covered by snow and that was when it happened. Rian lost control of the car and the car jerked hard enough to the right that it flipped. All were buckled, but the impact was too great. Helena faced the brunt of the crash and died instantly. Rian and Jade were injured, but not badly enough to be life-threatening.

That was the turning point of Jade's life. A few months later, Rian and Jade moved back to Ireland in order to be closer to Rian's side of the family. Rian had changed after his wife died. He took it all out on Jade and caused the young seven-year-old to take care of the house and learn about the world by herself as her father wasted away drinking liquor.

Jade was overjoyed when she received her letter to attend Hogwarts. It was her escape from reality and her chance to get away from the father who had stopped caring the moment her mother had died.

At Hogwarts, Jade was distant. She kept to herself and used her newfound Parselmouth abilities to keep her company. her snake being her closest friend. Jade had become a Slytherin. The famed house of her family as they were a long line of Slytherins.

Jade spent the rest of her time at Hogwarts studying hard and learning all she could in order to become the best witch she could upon graduation. Graduation came quicker than she had expected. One moment she was a first year eager to find herself and now here she was on the cusp of leaving the school and having to figure out what to do with her life.

At first, Jade moved away from her father's home in Dublin and moved into a comfortable apartment where she resided until she was able to buy her own house a few years later. It was in that apartment that she spent late nights studying to become a curse breaker. It was one of the things that she loved in the world. She also had a passion for plants after spending much time with her Herbology professor in the greenhouses. It was how she had gained her edge on know the different kinds of plants and what they did. She also knew which ones were safe, dangerous, or useful in potions.

Eventually, Jade's studying paid off and she was able to become a novice cursebreaker where she has spent the rest of her life doing and working up the ranks in until now.

Jade was eight years old and frustrated from an argument with her father. Suddenly, a cup of water shot across the room and crashed into the wall. Jade was shocked with what had happened and hadn't known what to do. She had quickly cleaned up the mess she had caused before her father arrived again.

Jade is guarded, but one of the most loyal people you can meet if you manage to befriend her. Because of her traumatic childhood, she finds it difficult to trust people, but once she trusts you, you have a strong ally. Jade is also stern and favors order and respect.

Jade is a pretty girl with piercing green eyes and rich brown hair. She has a scar on her left wrist from a car accident her mother died in when she was six years old. She chose to keep the scar as a reminder of her mother.

The Blackwoods branch from a long line of purebloods dated back to the early 19th century and have presided mainly in Ireland and Russia. Jade's distant grandfather was a Parselmouth from a distant Ireland relation. It was from him that she received her Parselmouth abilites.

In the late 19th century, Cathal Blackwood was born a Parselmouth. Dating back before his time, family members had the same. He was the most well-known Blackwood and is still praised within the Blackwood family today for his revolutionary ideas. He was cunning, smart, and sly enough to strike a deal when one came within his sights. He was exactly what the long line of Slytherin graduates from Hogwarts needed. Another Slytherin to keep up their bloodline.

Upon graduation from Hogwarts, Cathal moved away from his family in Ireland and moved to find himself somewhere else. That somewhere else was Russia. Russia was a new beginning for the fresh graduate and Cathal was ready to make a name for himself outside of his family's traditional pureblood standing.

Cathal fell in love with the mysterious Russian landscape and ways. It was his perfect getaway from the life he had once lived in Ireland. Winters were harsh and summers mild to hot, but it was home. It was there that he met Ethel Windstrom whom he later fell in love with and married. Jade is a direct descendant of these two.

The Windstrom family widely accepted Cathal and his unique ability. It was something they had rarely seen around their parts and they were eager to learn more and Cathal was not afraid to enlighten them with his abilty.

Jade never knew her distant grandfather nor that he was a Parselmouth. It was a secret kept hidden within her family until the ability became clear.

Her discovery that she was a Parseltongue came on a clear summer day in Ireland. It had been over a year since her mother had died from the car accident and a year had passed since her father and she had moved back to Ireland. She was only seven years old and was outside playing like she always had with her father drinking liquor on the porch. Suddenly, a snake she never found the breed of slithered across directly in front of her. The snake had turned its head to her. "Greetingsssss young one." it had said.

Jade was terrified. A snake had never before spoken to her. "Wha-what? You can speak> Can you understand me?" She questioned.

The snake spoke again, "Yessss. I underssstand you. Good day." The snake slithered off into the bushes and Jade never saw it again.

Jade had run to her father in a fright and told him of what had happened. "Relax daughter, you're not going crazy. Let me tell you a story." Her father at that moment in his drunken state explained to her the story of her distant grandfather Cathal and his story of being a Parselmouth. It was that day that Jade learned who she was. She possed a rare magical ability. She was a Parseltongue.
