What to do during the summer?

Yes! You can! Summer camp is actually an official event that happens during the summer, but many users actually make their own smaller summer camps or even do things like pureblood balls for character development. There are also instances where you can join large storyline events if you are registered with index. One actually happened last year. It was a large wedding that turned into absolute chaos.

How can I now if there are any camp?

For unofficial ones, sometimes people will post them in a signup thread in The Counter Chat, RPG Partner Requests, or IC/OOC Thread Sharing. For official summer camp, that should be announced shortly. It usually happens in late July or August.
