A little companion
Gaia was walking near to the cold water of the Lake. The sound of the nature, especially water, was healing her headache.
Surely she spent too much time to study, and now she couldn’t continue, neither she would want it.
Stay alone in that moment was really important for her health. She loves to spend time in the castle, observing the other students, or just chatting with them, about her passions, and also about homework, and cool new stuff learned at lessons.
But now, what she really needed was totally peace.
Gaia decided to took off her shoes and socks, walking with barefoot in the cold water.
The contrast with the sun, in early afternoon, made her chilling.
She smailed softly and returned to walk, watching around her.
Maybe, thanks the sun that hitting their fur, made she stop, looking at a little ball of fur, near to the water, in front of her.
Gaia was watching at little ball, noticing the long ears…
“A rabbit!”, she was happy, forgetting about headache.
She was sure, in front of her there was a little rabbit, with big amount of orange/yellow fur.
The girl started to walk very slowly, carful to don’t do any noise and sound.
The little rabbit was looking at her, but also continuing to drink the fresh water.
Gaia could feel how the little thing was scared. The girl started to do little sounds with the mouth, softly and reassuring ones.
The rabbit stopped to drink water, and was looking the girl.
Both was looking to each other.
Gaia felt a sort of warm feeling inside her chest, like sometimes happened to her when she was near to people in troubles.
Now she was aware of her talent, so left it to make warm all her body.
Continuing to walk, with soft sounds with her mouth, she was looking, blinking with attention, at the the little thing.
Only two meters was between them.
The rabbit, no more so scared, remained still.
Gaia was approaching they really slowly, without stopping with her soft sounds.
The rabbit moved their little body, jumping a bit back. Gaia, still doing her sounds and approaching them with big attention.
She understood that the rabbit was unsure about her.
Gaia stopped to walk, at less of one metre from they. Fortunately she had with her some food. Took from the pocket a piece of pumpkin sweet, and slowly offered it to the creature.
The little rabbit jumped near to her hand, and sniffed the sweet, then started to eat.
Meanwhile they was eating, Gaia grabbed they.
- My little cute thing, I will take care of you - whispered softly.
The little rabbit was eating, trembling a bit, but the warm inside Gaia chest made they more calm.
Gaia’s headache was disappeared.
