Dear Dad and Mum,

I made it to Hogwarts safely, so please don't worry. Dad, you were right about the castle. It's much bigger than I imagined. I'm in Hufflepuff now. Everyone has been kind, which made me feel a little less homesick. I already miss you both, but I think I'm going to be all right here. Write back when you can.

Your owl arrived this morning, and it was so nice to hear from you. We smiled all the way through your letter. I couldn't help laughing when I read that you'd already got lost. I promise it gets easier. Congratulations on Hufflepuff! We're so happy that everyone has been kind to you. Take care of yourself, and write again when you have the chance. We miss you.
