It was understandable after all she herself had said how hard it was to spot one. His excitement reminded her of her own excitement for the stars, planets and Astronomy as a whole. It truly was something magnificent.
She resumed her own stargazing. Now that she had her notes she could peacefully enjoy the rest of the meteor shower. She watched the streaks of blue colour the sky as it began to get lighter signalling the approach of dawn. She wasn't ready to leave yet. To be more precise she didn't want to leave yet. The Astronomy tower was her favourite place at the school.
She sighed and tried not to feel disappointed by the fact soon the shower would be over. Instead she focused on the present. She focused on watching what was left of the shower before it slowly faded while the sun rose. Soon it would be time to get up for breakfast. She had about an hour maybe two? Might as well try to sleep a bit. She packed her things before looking up at Leo.
Thank you for staying to watch the shower with me. Im returning to my common room now. See you around! She waved before making her way back to her warm bed.

Night of a Thousand Stars
Leo was stunned by the visual he was looking through the telescope. He had looked at actual meteors. The rocky surface. The misty tail. The way some of them just melted right there. It was frankly speaking, an other-worldy sight. Okay, it quite literally was from another world, but whatever.
He looked up from the telescope to the sky, looking at the last few streaks in the sky. Stretching out from one end to the other, he smiled. This was fun. He had to come here way more often than he did.
Fawkes's voice jolted him out of his trance. ''Thank you for staying to watch the shower with me. I'm returning to my common room now. See you around! She said, leaving to her dorm. Leo turned to her. ''Okay then. See you around!'' He murmured, waving a hand. He looked back at the sky, now devoid of streaks. Just dots twinking here and there.
Then suddenly, his eyes sparkled. SHe did something with her hands to do something, and wrote something down in her notebook. Maybe she could teach him something awesome. And he really wanted to share his telescope expertise with someone else. Hey, it's not everyday one gets to share their passion. He turned around, only to his disappointment, to find himself alone up top.
Guess he has to find the astronomy genius another day.
