XXXXX𝓣he sounds of the hospital wing had become more familiar than they probably should've been, although it did bring a sense of comfort with how knowing that those sounds meant that people were being healed. That whatever might've occurred outside of these four walls, within them true magic happened, not just fancy tricks and flashy lights.
That they found themselves here once again though meant that they hadn't been able to stay up for the entirety of their duel. Again. Not once had Mylo managed to see it through to the end, there was always some kind of pain or hard hitting spell that managed to hit them just right, giving them a free pass to enjoy the wonders of magic first hand. This duel seemed to have been no different, even with one of their opponents seemingly not present in the slightest.
Mylo knew what that was like, to be physically present but mentally somewhere else. It wasn't a great feeling, but sometimes they would catch themselves wanting to just escape things for a little while. They never wanted to repeat the potions accident ever again though, once was too many times already and they didn't want to concern their friends any more than necessary.
He knew that they'd have to open their eyes eventually though, and when they did he truly hoped not to see their teammates occupying one of the many beds in the room, maybe they had managed to secure the win without him, or maybe they hadn't but they had been able to stay up longer than he had. Either way Mylo did not want to see their faces here for a while, it sucked to see others hurt.
Taking a deep breath Mylo slowly opened his eyes, blinking a few times to adjust to the bright light and the increase in visual noise, the world slowly coming back into focus and allowing Mylo to start moving around to get into a more comfortable position. While doing so the first thing he noticed was that their of their teammates were in the room, which was a very good thing as it meant that they had either woken up earlier than him and had already made their way out or had managed to stay up and hadn't had to spend any time coming to.
Deciding to take advantage of the semi-peace the room afforded Mylo shut their eyes again, wanting to wait a little longer before braving the world and inevitably hearing that they hadn't been able to do enough to help secure a victory once again.

Down but not out

"Hello? Mylo? Hello in there!?" she said raising her voice just enough to try and get Mylo out of whatever blackout they were currently experiencing. Resisting the urge to tap their head, she tapped their shoulder instead like it was glass in an aquarium. Ever since blacking out on the cold hard ice at Koldovstoretz, Maisie assumed this is what most people experienced at the Hospital Wing. Sleep, in her opinion, was much too gentle an outcome for a traumatic injury, especially one induced by duelling.
But she needed to wake them: Coach needed to hear the news. For the first time ever and by some desperate miracle, Maisie Gemmell (and her two friends) had won a match (and emerged completely unscathed). By the skin of their teeth no less, but it was a victory all the same. And, Coach's teammates had pulled through for them too with a second Ravenclaw victory. This didn't particularly surprise Maisie—if Mylo hadn't been a brilliant duellist, they wouldn't be coach, would they?—but it made the day all that much sweeter. Speaking of which, back on the piste Robin had suggested a party. They should go, including Mylo as a fellow victor, and Avis as their biggest supporter. It was only through friendship she'd gotten this far.
At some point, Maisie half expected a nurse to tell her to stop poking Mylo or for Avis to run in as if on cue with a much gentler suggestion on how to rouse them from an apparent coma. But neither of those things had happened—yet.
So, she continued.

Avis barreled through the doors of the Hospital Wing, panting slightly from her rushed trip up the stairs to the third floor. Without missing a beat, the girl made a beeline for one of the only occupied beds in the room.
In her panicked concern, Avis failed to noticed that her friend seemed to be a in a sort of passed out yet peaceful state of being and proceeded to announce her approach with a few loud choice words.
"Bloody hell, are they alright?" she blurted, addressing Maisie upon arrival. The storm knockout during Mylo's dueling match had looked brutal even from where she was sitting at the top of the stands and Avis hadn't hesitated to make her way up to the Hospital Wing once she'd gotten out of a particularly miserable Herbology tutoring session directly after the match.
Finally able to get her bearings as she reached the bed, Avis registered her best friend poking relentlessly at Mylo's shoulder and peered at their face a bit more closely.
"Hmm, can't get them up?" she asked, reaching out and lifting a drooping eyelid with her thumb. The whites of Mylo's eyes stared back in unconscious indifference. "Hellooooo!" Avis called, echoing Maisie's earlier attempts at rousing their poor injured friend. The Ravenclaw stood, placing her hands on her hips with a huff. "They're not... dead? Are they?" she added to her myriad of questions directed at her dorm mate. Avis grimaced. It was mostly a joke.
Mostly.
That storm cloud had been a sight to behold and more than one person in the audience had winced when Mylo got struck. Even the referee looked a bit concerned.

XXXXX𝓢leep was one of the few times Mylo felt truly at peace. Not a single thought of if they were being annoying, or a mental list of what they still had to do could be found within the confines of their unconscious dream world.
Their time in that world however was being cut short, their body being prodded and poked as though he was a lab experiment. The sensations filtering through the haze of consciousness that was valiantly trying to keep Mylo in the peaceful dream-like state they had previously found themselves in.
Unfortunately it wasn't too successful.
As the world started slowly filling the empty spaces Mylo caught the tail end of a conversation from what seemed to be a very concerned person standing by their bedside, and noticed that there was a finger being continuously pressed into their shoulder.
Taking a deep breath they centred themselves, having had years of practice with Andrea and had a quick argument with themselves as to whether to keep his eyes open or closed. Ultimately deciding to keep them closed in the hope that in doing so that the two menaces treating him like a Nokia 1200 would decide to take a step back and revaluate their choice of bothering a patient in the Hospital wing.
"No I'm not dead. And although I was likely struck by lighting, that hasn't charged a previously undiscovered battery inside me and turned me into a Nokia. So you can stop prodding me to see if I start powering up like one." A fond tone slipping through the dry jokes that exited the exhausted Ravenclaws mouth.
They were honestly happy their friends had come to check up on him, it was nice to know that they cared. No matter how they showed it.
Letting a sigh escape they resigned themselves to the fact that any more sleep was likely off the table, and opened their eyes slowly to look at their best friends concerned faces. "So, how badly did we end up doing?"

Down but not out

"Bloody hell, are they alright?" came Avis' thundering voice as her best friend arrived dutifully on the scene. "Not sure," she answered, "They seem...out of sorts." They had not yet responded to any poking or prodding, but that did not mean they wouldn't. Maisie was sure she had been out for a while on that ice at Koldovstoretz, but she did come to after a while.
And now that Avis was here, there would no stopping to ensure Mylo would eventually wake up. Hellos rumbled through the Hospital Wing like deep melody on the wind. "I think we'd know if they were dead. They'd be all pale and stuff," she said as she reached into her satchel and pulled out a peach colored ribbon and held it up near Mylo's face, "See they still have color!" It was not a perfect match, but it certainly didn't make Mylo look paler or washed out. Obviously, this was conclusive proof—yes, obviously.
And then: the miracle.
Mylo spoke. Not dead, they confirmed. Maisie felt the color rush to her cheeks, happy her friend had been resurrected. "Mylo!" she squealed as she reached across to give them a big hug (not considering how this might hurt a recently electrocuted body). As she stepped back, she looked over their face to see what their condition was—not that Maisie knew anything remotely about medicine.
What she did know about was what happened, and it was no surprise that the outcome was top of mind for Mylo as it would be for her as well. "Edward and Jessamine haven't been by?" she asked curiously. In the past, she'd rushed to the side of fallen teammates; it was a shame if that hadn't been true for Mylo, but maybe they would come later. She looked over at Avis, unsure who should tell Mylo the news. "Well Atlas kind of froze on the piste out of nervousness or indecisiveness, I'm not sure. But they took out Archer so..." Her brown eyes looked over to Avis to finish the news. That way, they could do it together.
Maisie would wait for Mylo to absorb this news.
Then, a beat.
"What's a Nokia?"
