❦Wand Description❦

A wand of 26,0 cm in size, made of chestnut wood and phoenix feather. According to Olivander, it is "brittle, gifted with defense powers, and likes wizards who go on dangerous quests."

❦Appearance❦

Lorenzo is a short individual with tanned skin, heterochromic eyes (left green, right brown), and white-blond hair that's always sticking up at all ends. He has a crooked, dimpled smile, an exaggerated amount of freckles, and a gangly sort of frame. He's constantly all banged up from his various mishaps across the grounds, and is usually seen with some form of bewildered expression, inquiring after some missing item or another.

Lorenzo "Lucky" Delane doesn't really feel like he ever lived up to his nickname. As much as he appreciates his mum calling him her "lucky little ladybug", he thinks she has it all wrong. Sure, he may be decently smart, and it's not as if he had ever been in life-threatening danger before, but he definitely isn't winning any trophies in the "luck" department.
He can often be seen trudging about campus, looking for a missing shoe or a spellbook ("I swear it was just in my hand")—
Usually, if there's trouble, you can guarantee that Lucky is going to end up smack in the middle of it.
Despite this, Lorenzo isn't going to let it get him down anymore! Sure, he had a bit of an... anger issue problem (it's not easy feeling as if the whole world was out to get you), but he's been taking classes! He's finding his "inner zen". It's all very nice. Nowadays, Lorenzo wouldn't hurt a fly.

Early Years

Born to the Muggle Marie and her husband, the wizard Septimus Delane, Lorenzo spent the first eleven years of his life frolicking the countryside and playing pirates out in the fields. He was an only child, and while that meant he was a little lonely, living on the outskirts of his small town, he was not altogether isolated, and spent much of his time as a little ringleader for the local children.
His father, who was an Auror for the Ministry of Magic, was (and is) Lorenzo's hero. Fighting evil and saving people sounded like the kind of work that mattered. And someday, Lorenzo wanted to matter like that, too.
Of course, his life took a rather tragic turn when he received the owl telling of his father's death; fighting evil had it's risks, and Lorenzo had to learn the hard way that the good guys don't always win.
His father had been killed in a duel against a deviant wizard, and died in the efforts to reign the wayward caster in, leaving his and his wife alone in the world.
... Lorenzo didn't feel so "lucky", anymore.
That day, there was a horrible storm that washed through his town. Lorenzo felt like the whole sky was crying with him. He doesn't like rain much, anymore. He feels like it must be the sky crying for someone else.
His mum, of course, tried to fill the gaps. She didn't know much about wizarding, but she tried her best to learn about it, and to support Lorenzo as he developed magic like his father.
Despite the dangers that Lorenzo knew all too well, the possibilty of death didn't sway the young wizard in the slightest; and one day, he plans to be a grand Auror, just like his dad. If only it weren't for his bad luck...

First Use of Magic

Lorenzo's first use of magic was during one of his fits, at 7.
He couldn't honestly explain what he was so angry about, but his father's death had still been so fresh, and his mother wasn't listening! The world really was out to get him!
Suddenly, before he could really comprehend what was happening, he had blown all the lightbulbs in the house.
Of course, his mum had been... excited. But Lorenzo noted that there was a wariness in her gaze. Concern, maybe?
Sometimes he still dreams about it.
