I guess we are in the same boat
Natalie is a pretty quiet kid that likes to listen in on conversations. totally not a stalker She often got into trouble with her parents because it "isn't the ladylike thing to do!" She could literally care less. She wanted to know what was going on wither you like it or not. Nat decided to break some other family rules today. She decided to not wear heels and her hair down! The shock! The horror! Her hair wasn't too long. It ended like a few inches under her shoulders. She wore her uniform her tie was nicely tied and her clothes were tucked in though and her skirt was wrinkle-free just out of habit. Her parents kept her all nice and ladylike. It was a bit of a bore.
She walked down a small hallway and heard someone talking to himself. She quietly walked along with the painting on the wall watching her. One painting talked to her. "Sweetheart, don't you know it is bad to sneak up on someone," The painting asked. "Yes I do I just want to know what he is saying," Natalie said back a little to loudly. She wouldn't have been shocked if he had heard her.

@Taylor Natalie Rogers-Freeman Sorry it's a bit short!Alec of course hadn't noticed either of them yet. The boy was too 'caught up in his own little world' again. "Why must all the bad stuff happen to me? Now they're going to know for sure. And I bet that beater is coming after me after the whole incident with Clifton and Leo," Alec said, talking quite fast. "What is m-my life? How come I always end up in these situations it starts with sneaking out then being put into gryffindor and now this. My s-stupidity clearly has reached max l-level," Alec had been trying to keep quiet, but it was quite hard when you were having a mini freak out session."N-no doubt I'm going to get another howler. Have everyone staring at me again" Alec muttered his curly hair was a mess, and he was a mess his usual nicely done up uniform had a few wrinkles which was more than frowned upon. Alec had been trying to fix his hair this morning in the process of messing up both his shirt and his hair. It was all the bad luck put into one and of course it had to be him. Couldn't the bad luck fall into another poor innocent kid? Not Alec? He was a good kid.. most of the time.He listened to his parents and followed the rules. So why must it be him? He knew he was over dramatizing it. But he happened to be an overthinker which also unfortunately fell into the category of over dramatizing things. Which also was something else to add to the list.. 'Great'

Natalie laughed and walked up to the boy. A beater? Wow. Who was this kid? She smiled at him. "You should stop talking to yourself in a public area. People who are nosy like me listen in. I am Natalie. Taylor Natalie Rogers-Freeman but that is a little long," Natalie smiled at him. He was a little messy looking. She grew up in a Slytherin pureblood family. Her father was all about keeping the line pure. He had multiple boys her age come and visit. Which was not something she liked and often had arguments about with her father. She was very submissive to her parents though. She often listened to them and never broke the rules. Her grandmother was very close to her and called her Taylor. That was the only person to call her Taylor. Ever. She often went to her to vent, complain, and just relate to.
Natalie really wanted to make friends so far she has one friend. Who was in Gryffindor. Over all Nat hasn't been around many kids her age just pureblood boys. She really did not like talking to kids her age either. but she needed friends. "So your parents are strict to?"

Alec gave the girl a look of complete surprise. I mean who wouldn't be surprised he was ranting away in his own little world only to have someone catch him doing so again"You've got to be kidding me.. Another person does this seriously? It's getting a bit old" He said mostly himself before shaking his head. "S-sorry um.. I wouldn't use the word strict though. More like overbearing.." Alec said with a sad smile. "N-nice to meet you I guess.." Alec said, although it wasn't that great under these circumstances ."I'm Alec, well.. Alec J. Mason to be exact" He said with a small not so sad smile this time around. He liked the J instead of his middle name it made it sound sorta fancy."I don't suppose your listen in on people often?" Alec asked with a raised brow. With the fact that she mentioned she was nosy, Alec only had to assume yes. But he always assumed it was rude to assume such things,, so he'd rather ask then be told off for it.Of course maybe nosy people weren't as nosy as they thought they were. Maybe everybody else was nosy as well, just very not self aware about it? Alec knew he could be a bit nosy at times too. But at no point would he purposely walk up to someone the way she did.

@Alec Mason"Nice to meet you Alec J. Mason," Natalie teased. She was not used to talking to people. "Sorry, that was rude. I am not great with people," She sat on a bench next to him. "I do listen in often. Much to my parents disliking. And don't beat yourself up over your mistakes. I am just really really good."
"Mason... Wait, isn't your father an Auror? My dad said something about him. That is really cool," Natalie said trying to bring up conversation. "Well, my father is a bit demanding and has the idea fixed that I will get married to a pureblood. I am like nope. I am sorry I shouldn't be talking about my family problems," Natalie said. She hated it a lot. "My father was horrible about that like really bad. He was extremely pushy and my mom wants what is best for me and I don't want that. I trust them but I just don't agree with their twisted opinions. I have met some amazing muggle-borns and they are really nice. I don't know who to believe anymore. Me or my family," Natalie looked over at him she had a feeling that he would know what it was like.

Alec paused, trying to keep up with all that she was saying. She talked quite a lot. He wasn't exactly sure what all she'd just said and what trying to remember it all word for word when he got to this part.'Mason... Wait, isn't your father an Auror? My dad said something about him. That is really cool,'It's not. Is what Alec wanted to say but he couldn't he'd get anybody and everybody he knew into trouble if he even said a word about how twisted and sick of an Auror his father was. He's the one who should be getting taken away by the Aurors even if Alec did care about his father. It was the truth.Alec shrugged."I live in a muggle neighborhood back at home. M'parents said it was because it was 'modest' they didn't let me leave the house though," Alec said with a small awkward laugh as he ran a hand through his hair.@Taylor Natalie Rogers-Freeman"Can't believe I've never met ya before. It's been almost a whole year in Hogwarts you'd think I'd meet you sooner" He said. 'Because you stick out like a sore thumb' he wanted to say. Because it was true. She talked quite a lot, and she didn't even try to fit into the gryffindor stereotypes.

@Alec Mason"I am a bit of bookworm. I like my space and I am a more a Slytherin than anything else. I just I would think," Natalie said. "Sorry I am chatty. You seem to rant yourself," Nat said laughing at herself. She was chatty and she grew up that way. She actually freaked out when she got into Gryffindor. She just wanted to be by herself around Slytherins so she wouldn't think about what her parents thought of her. She had a best friend named Scarlett. She was very nice and outgoing. One friend was all she needed or so she thought.
She looked at the boy. "A muggle neighborhood what was it like? I grew up in a mansion that wasn't as nice as it sounded." She was also curious for the boy to talk she hoped that she could get to know him a little bit. She gave him a small smile and pushed her hair behind her ear. She started to bite her lip a nervous habit. Her lip was chap and had scabs on them. She never liked silence it was one of her biggest fears. The other was snakes. Which was ironic because her family was all Slytherins.
