Summer Camp 2025Fate or CoincidenceGellert is pleased with the fact that Maxi opens up, his eyes relaxing and focusing on the other. His imagination often is his downfall, but this time it seems any mishaps had been resolved. He smiled at the realisation that there was nothing truly serious happening between Maxi and his grandfather, nothing as serious as his family at least.
“I’m glad there is nothing too serious happening! Perhaps your grandfather would concede if you wrote about his vineyard,” Gellert joked, “I find writing to be a beautiful representation of humanity. We are the only creature on this planet to write, after all.”
Writing was indeed beautiful, perhaps even magical in certain aspects. Perhaps that was why he had always wanted to work with runes, and use his mind for something greater. Gellert felt a warmth in his chest, his smile widening, and thus, teased Maxi, flirting, “Hmm, a rebellious one, aren’t you, an attractive characteristic for some.”
Hmm, it would seem we are on a similar pathway of considering the importance of inheritance. Intelligent to partner in the future, if we can truly be friends without having this romance thing break down, on his part.
“Hmm, I have also been considering letting my family convince me in taking over our wand tree business, but I am still contemplating, because it seems such a responsibility, and limiting in my endeavours.”
Gellert shuddered as his adrenaline dropped, suggesting that he had been nervous around Maxi, or his feelings were intense. There was a momentary pause as he heard Maxi respond comfortingly to his remarks of romance and friendship. Everything was quiet and normal until suddenly there was a shift. Suddenly, Gellert felt hope again that maybe his feelings were returned. His eyes narrowed, and a questioning yet tender look appeared on Gellert’s face. He looked tenderly at the teen in front of him and earnestly replied, “Maxi, I promise you that you are not a replacement for anybody. Len takes feelings and makes everything so intense that it’s hard to separate reality from fiction. I genuinely only knew him for a week in total. I actually want to know you and spend time with you even if this wasn’t romance.” Gellert took a step forward and raised his hands as to caress Maxi’s face, “and I’d love to show you how much I enjoy your company, if you’d let me.” He could feel his lips part and his heart beat, the heat spreading through his core. He glanced down at Maxi’s lips involuntarily, and then stared into his eyes, asking, “May I kiss you?”

"Mhm." He thought for a while. "Never mind. His attention is shifting elsewhere anyway. Busy planning his Mediterranean trip. And it's not like I care, really." He chuckled. "I don't inherit the business because of him, you know? I do what I'm interested in, and that's it. But writing is a fine way, and I agree with you on this. Just maybe not to him."
Wand tree business sounded fine enough, somehow similar to his vineyard--Maxi shuddered at the thought of his instead of his family's--mind changing was a thing, huh. "It's your choice. You still have a year anyway, don't you? Can't hurt if you make your decision during Christmas. Or better, at the graduation ceremony." When he was younger, he had planned to do so, a drastic last-minute announcement that he was going to Paris and to start his writing career in an apartment. "Joking. I just wanted to say that whatever you choose, you shouldn't let yourself down."
Acknowledging his feelings came far more easily than he thought, and it only made him relieved. And the reassurance--thankfully, that tenderness helped him confirm that it wasn't yet another lie in his life--oh, his heart did skip a beat, somehow. He wouldn't say it was a completely new sensation, but it was something he hadn't felt in years. He shivered slightly when Gellert's hand was on his face, but eventually, he did not evade. The warmth spread from the other boy's body to his, lingering on the side of his cheeks, sending ripples right to the depths of his heart. Oh. For that single moment, Maxi felt divine. His dark grey eyes gazed into the clear blue ones.
A formal request like May I kiss you? sounded like what a gentleman would say. Involuntarily, he thought of his suggestion to Gellert earlier. Never let yourself down. Which meant, follow your heart. He might have always had that dominant part in him, claiming what he truly wanted. Numerous rebellious acts against his family, figuring out his own career as he progressed through the school years, holding cups of victory during broom races...He never promised he wasn't a predator, did he?
And Maximilien never hesitated when he regarded it as the right time.
The next moment, he leaned in without warning, eyelids half-closed, hands cupping Gellert's face, thumb caressing his jaw. He could feel the warmth of Gellert's breath against his lips, and then he closed the distance between them, kissing down decisively, aggressively, indulging in the softness and warmth. The gondola swayed slightly, yet Maxi paid no heed, even though they did have a good chance of falling into the water below. That would be a disaster, really, but he guessed the moment was worth it.

Summer Camp 2025Fate or Coincidence"Doing what you are interested in is a sure way to find a life's purpose, indeed. I find myself yearning for an opportunity to continue my pursuit in healing. I was trying to help someone I knew when the carriages to Hogwarts exploded with flame and fear. A previous rival's partner was stuck beneath the carriage and I was faced with the decision to flee or to help. That was truly when I decided I would pour my life's work into healing the pain of others." Gellert paused and looked off into the distance. His eyes glistened with yearning. He continued, "To be honest, the best scenario would be if I could do both. Run the wand wood business along with healing. Maybe I could make the place a refuge for those who are in need of mind healers. A place where people could find healing and rest."
Suddenly, Gellert felt lips upon his, and he shuddered. There was no reality other than the soft, supple feeling that created a yearning within his body. He melted within the experience, heat bursting within his soul. He breathed heavily as the kiss deepened from his side. He caresses Maxi, and places his hands on the other's waist, pulling him closer if allowed. His breath shakes and he pulls back to take a breath. He was dazzled and he stared.
"You are beautiful, Maxi. So, so beautiful." Gellert's lips parted and he wanted more and more of Maxi. This was truly a first kiss. He had never kissed Len and Ginyami and he had exchanged saliva for the purpose of making Len mad. "I know we've skipped to the kissing, but let's go on a date. I wanna show you how much I like you."

The incident. Of course he knew it, that apocalyptic moment that hurt to be recalled. While Maxi had been lucky enough to be on the outer circles, straight off to the shops as soon as they landed, the explosions had been ringing in his ears days after, and whenever he closed his eyes, the black was dipped by scarlet colour. He bit his lower lip. Hogwarts trips had always brought mixed feelings, yet he was still returning to this land time after time. Maxi had to admit that it indeed had that intoxicating allure. He lowered his eyes and nodded as Gellert carried on. "Oh, that was..." He paused, but eventually failed to come up with the right word. "I was there." Finally he said, quietly. "But not near the center. If only I knew you were there..." A sigh. "I just wish you'd been alright."
"Mhm. I think that sounds great, actually." Mind healers were probably not the most traditional paths most aspiring healers took on, but he did agree it was of vital importance and opportunities actually lay ahead. "Something like a forest therapy, maybe? That will work." Mental health mattered. He was pretty sure that Gellert would be great, given his gentle and altruistic nature. Just think, one more year and they would be on different paths. Thrilling indeed, and maybe a bit intimidating. "We shall find our place." He confirmed. It might turn out as just a wish, but at the age of seventeen, he guessed it was okay to dream big.
And there came the kiss. Maxi had never kissed so passionately (honestly, he had never kissed), as if time had stopped and the gondola wasn't smoothly gliding forward. He felt Gellert's shuddering, and a small muffled chuckle escaped his throat, genuinely amused by the Durmstrang's melt against the kiss and by his own audacity to perform the act out of nowhere. The hands on his waist felt good as their distance was further enclosed, and Maxi managed a somewhat breathless grin as he pulled away. Inhaling sharply for air, he tilted his head and smiled tenderly, steel eyes softening and sparkling. If he wasn't out of breath, he might whistle. That would be rather skittish, he knew it, but he was on cloud nine and feeling giddy. With flushed cheeks and moist lips, he blinked. "...wow."
He couldn't help but smile when Gellert flooded him with praises. "You as well." He said, affectionately. "I'm so grateful to have you." The initiation of a date corresponded so well with his own sounds, and Maxi laughed. "We've been kinda hasty, haven't we? But yes, of course - that's exactly what's currently on my mind, to be frank. I love that we always have the same thoughts." It couldn't have worked if one of them chickened out after the Beauxbatons event - technically speaking Maxi initially shrank back, but he was glad about his eventual self-exploration and recognition.
"Tu veux sortir avec moi?" It slipped out of him before he even knew, but Maxi could say that he had the confidence to know what kind of answer he would get. He grinned at Gellert with delighted eyes and extended a hand. "Come on, let's get out of this tunnel first."
