With a strong and confident look on his face, Adonis shot forth a jet of flames at the mosp he aimed for. He was confident in his spell casting abilities most of the time. A grin plastered itself across Adonis' face while watching the spell successfully hit the mosp he had targeted, that was until it unfortunately didn't go up in flames. "Crap!" He said with a grunt, scowling now. Suddenly, the lights flickered on and flooded every room now with it. Being able to see clearly would make things much better for them now.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Let's just worry about getting rid of this mosp." He said a little too excitedly with a determined look on his face, giving a firm nod in return. "Agreed. It'd be best if we clear this room out of them and hopefully get the others to come here. That is unless the teachers find out before we even get a chance to. Time to kill this thing now." Adonis spoke with a more serious and dark tone in his voice, turning to face the mosp again.

He took a moment to notice all of the other happenings in the room currently and the screams that filled them, the students that were also fighting to protect their friends and for their survival in this event. Everything about what was currently going on had excited him, the aura of it filled him and sparked a fierce fire in him with the need and want to fight back. The want to protect. To fight. To outwit. To outlast. If he could he would've gone across the Boys' Changing Room to help out the girl who was also being targeted by a mosp like himself, but it seemed others were already there by side to jump in and help her.

In that quick sparing moment that felt like awhile but had only been a second or two, Adonis returned to reality and stared down the mosp that was now targeting him, raising his wand once again and making a leaf-like movement with it, "INCENDIO!" The boy shouted with fierce intensity, hoping to successfully cast the spell again and fully light it aflame this time at the same as Jorah and George also attacked.

George cast lumos, and a dazzling light filled the room. It was the biggest lumos that Jake had ever seen him cast. Alan added to the light as well, and Jake could see again. It was dark but he could see...the wand light illuminated the tense faces of his friends.

A buzzing sound began to fill the room, and then he saw them in the shadows, entering their pocket of light.

George screamed for what they were. Jake knew what they were. Even in his panic, he knew. He had read about them, but had never seen them for real. He had seen their picture though. The bulbous body. The giant stinger. It was unmistakable. They were called...they were called...

Mosps.

And one of them was dangerous. One color. But what color? In his fear he couldn't remember. He didn't know. He couldn't speak. Couldn't answer. But it was flying right towards them.

Jake felt a pat on his head from George, and then his shirt was pulled back, tightening around his neck and bringing him behind the bigger boy. Jake pressed his face against his friend's back and hid. George would feel his trembling. Soon, he would feel George's too.

Alan answered. Told what they were. He knew the dangerous color too. He knew to use flowers. Could even magic them.

Jake maybe could have helped too. But he was too afraid.

And Jake heard a voice in his head. A voice that knew he hadn't run.

"So be it," it said. "I will come to you then."

And then, for the first time in a long time, there was silence.

Terror washed over him. For months he had begged for silence...but not like this. Come to him. Come to here! He didn't know what the voice looked like...if it even looked like anything at all. By day it was inside him. In his dreams the voice had form. Towering form. Blazing eyes and a voice that boomed so loudly it shook mountains. Eyes that saw him wherever he went, and looked down upon him. He would run. He would hide. But then it would always find him. He would wake up screaming. This wasn't a dream. Jake hadn't done what it had wanted. He didn't know what that meant or what he was coming to do. But he didn't want to meet him.

The boy turned this way and that, peering at every corner, every wall. He could be anywhere - that was magic. One second gone, the next second here. Could be now. Or now. Or now. Or now. Or...

There were sounds, crashes, thuds. They were fighting. Georgie fought. Jack was there and Alan. He heard familiar voices. Other voices. He wanted to scream don't hurt the mosps but couldn't.

The voice was gone, but Jake still heard it. Still knew what it would say. He was supposed to fight. He was supposed to help. But he didn't know how. He didn't know a lot of spells. He could barely cast the ones he knew. He was no good at magic. He was no good at anything. And he was scared. George got scared too, even if he didn't want to say it, even if not as much. Jake hadn't known that at first, but he did know now. George was scared now. Jake knew he was. He could hear it in his voice. The tension seemed to radiate off of his body. But he wasn't scared like Jake was. He didn't cry like Jake did. Maybe that was why he was so brave. When Georgie was scared he didn't give up.

Jake was more than scared. And then there was fire. He felt the heat upon his face. He screamed. Jake turned and crouched - ducking away from the flames, the mosps, everything. His eyes were squeezed shut, his chin tucked, Freddie squeezed uselessly against his rocking body. He was a tiny ball. He shook and shook, his nerves frayed beyond what they could take. He had gone far past his limit. He was breaking down.

"Please don't let him take me," he wailed.
Action: Nope, still crying sorry <_<

The third year was thrilled that his plan worked out exactly how he had planned it to work and was slightly glad that he had not made the situation worse. However the arrival of another two students, one which he knew whereas the other one he had never seen before, had made him worry for his plan to be a failure after all. What else would work against these creatures? He tried to recollect all kind of trivia he could think off until he remembered the fact that they won't be around throughout winter and would slowly disappear by the end of fall throughout the year; like their muggle world counterparts. How could he make the temperature drop however? He would hear one of the kids cast incendio and that was it, he knew what to do.

"St-Stop th-the fires, we c-can't burn down th-this place!," he explained the kid who not only cast the fire spell once but even twice. He hoped the kid would listen, but he had little control. He also preferred for this to be solved without having the mosps be killed, because after all they were living beings and probably could not help their instincts. One of which was to avoid cold and rainy weathers, as you never saw them fly around during those times.

When George thanked him, he would nod at the kid with a reassuring smile, as if to say that everything would be fine even though the third year actually had no idea IF everything would be fine. But he decided that he would think positive and just have faith in their abilities to manage the situation. "We sh-shouldn't be killing th-them, th-this might just a-attract more and m-makes them more angry-" he told the other kids, his voice hinting that he also just did not like the thought of actually harming the creatures. "We need th-them t-to leave," he would explain, giving them a different course of action to do instead of killing or harming those creatures.

"Nix Facitur!," he wouls attempt to cast, hoping that once again his spell might be a success and that the general coldness emitted by the spell couple with the falling snowflakes would force the mosps to retreat and leave the changing room. The spell would affect the area, but possibly would be worst for the mosp closest to him (#18) as the third year stood closeby to George. It was then when he heard Jake speak up again and he would have to force himself to keep his gaze locked onto the threat instead of following his instinct to go and face Jake to comfort the smaller kid. "Wh-Who are y-you t-talking about, Jake?," he would ask instead, hoping that Jake would answer. Nothing of what the youngest badger said made any sense and it certainly did not help his focus as his mind tried to riddle what was being said.

Trivia?:
Afaik Wasps and Moths (which are what makes Mosps) are both VERY sensitive to cold temperatures. It slows them down and makes them retreat to seek shelter, which possibly means they would return to their nests...

Interaction with @Jorah Moussa & @Jake Morris
Mention's @Alan Vanes
Jack's brain froze. He just stood there, dumbfounded. Why is it that when a large group of students gets together, every single time things go terribly awry? Jake was clearly having a stressful mental breakdown, and George was doing whatever George does. Nasty little things started to crawl out of the woodworks, but by little, he meant giant crazy bugs. And by crawl, he meant buzz around in a terrifying manner! Jack was so distracted by trying to make sure his friends were okay even to attack the bugs! However, that's when a certain first-year Ravenclaw busted into the dressing room!

Jorah! "Jorah!" Jack exclaimed, "I'm here, mate!" The chance encounter the boy's had several days prior had them agreeing to come to the ball together. Now that boy was here to be his knight in shining armor! How charming! Or it was charming until the boy let out an ungodly battle scream! For a second, Jack was afraid that Jorah had been stung by the horrid creature! Jorah had only nearly missed the damn bug- "You're gonna have to try harder than that, Jorah!" The prefect tried to joke around. However, not even a good jab or joke would lighten the mood of this situation, so his joking facade faded quickly.

With his wand still in hand, Jack aimed at the Mosp that Alan seemed to distract with the flowers. "I'm absolutely down to help out everybody else, just as soon as Jake is safe!" His priority was in the helpless Huffle near him. "Jake, when are done here, make a run for it! You have to inform Caradoc of what's going on!" His words directed at his little friend. The tone of his voice was harsh and commanding, but it seemed like the thing that Jake needed to hear right at the moment. Finally, the words of power spewed from his mouth, "Incendio!"

Mosp #17
@Annie Morgan walked inside the girls' changing room without being noticed by the Mosp #17 and then decided to change out of her ball outfit, opting for a more practical pair of jeans and sweater, before she decided to grab Saskia's Silver Arrow from her locker. After that, she walked unnoticed past the purple mosp, too busy buzzing happily on the flowers to care about the girl, and Annie successfully walked outside of the Girls' Changing Room.
Annie successfully leaves and can post in another thread freely.
Mosp #18
After making sure that everyone was okay, @Jorah Moussa decided not to loose any time, and attacked the mosp with another swing of his bat as he ran towards it.
Jorah vs Mops 18
t!dice 1d20+10 (18) vs t!dice 1d20+2 (3)
Damage: 135 DMG
The boy's bat successfully hit the giant insect, that apparently had flew straight into the wooden object, sending it across the room and leaving it visibly shook and damaged.

The Ravenclaw boy wasn't alone in his fight against this particular mosp; @George Henry, after cheering for his Gryffindor friend and his genius idea of creating a bouquet of flowers, decided to help a paralysed in fear and screaming Grace Mint . He concentrated and pointed his wand towards the mosp, that in the meantime had come back towards the group, and casted the Shrinking Charm.
George vs Mosp 18
t!dice 1d20+6 (8) vs t!dice 1d20+2 (22)
The mosp avoided the attack.
With an incredibly graceful twirl in the air, and even though the insect looked pretty beaten up, the mosp managed to avoid the charm; it would have definitely reached the group, if it wouldn't have been for @Adonis Thorn. The Slytherin boy casted another time Incendio towards the insect, hoping to hit it (and possibly burn it).
Anodins vs Mosp 18
t!dice 1d20+8 (26) vs t!dice 1d20+2 (14)
Adonis hit the mosp.
Mosp Damage: 50 + (AP x10) = 120 DMG
Mosp is not aflame (rolled a 1)
As the flames coming out of his wand hit the insect, the mosp let out a particularly high pitched screech, before its wings stopped moving. It fell on the floor with a loud thud, its lifeless body limp on the ground.
Mosp 18 is dead.
Mosp #19
This mosp had been quite busy with the incredibly inviting bouquet of flowers that had been thrown in a corner, and couldn't care less about the students fighting the other insects. @Jack Warren , after he tried to lighten up the mood with a joke, decided to take the situation in his own hands, as he told Jake Morris to run and find Professor Browne and then casted Incendio at the red mosp.
Jack vs Mosp #19
autohit (calming, 90+)
t!dice 1d100 ---> (93)
Mosp Damage: 50 + (AP x10) = 120 DMG
Mosp is not aflame (rolled a 1)
Extremely calm, focused and collected, Warren successfully hit the flying insect, without setting it on fire; the creature of course did not like that and, once it had fixed its gaze on the Hufflepuff boy, it started its attack.
Mosp #19 vs Warren
t!dice 1d20+3 (13) vs t!dice 1d20+8 (24)
Jack avoided the attack.
The young boy skilfully dodged the two pointy stingers of the mosp as he dodged to the side, and the flying bug turned around, ready to attack the boy again, still upset that he had interrupted its private time with the flowers.
Mosp #22
@Lucille Williams had just entered the Boys' changing room, called by the terrifying scream that @Grace Mint had just emitted. She grabbed the girl by an arm and then, after considering ducking under the mosp to avoid it, she decided to take out her wand and wave it around to hopefully distract the insect that was still flying towards Grace.
Lucille vs Mosp #22
Is the mosp distracted? (1-y, 2-n)
t!dice 1d2 ---> 2
It was not distracted.
Unfortunately for the girl, the insect could not care less of a waving, wooden stick, and proceeded to target the blonde girl, as Lucille tripped and fell on the ground (Auto fall made by the player). Luckily for Grace, @Jo Morgan decided to step in and help the duo. She raised her wand and pointed it at the mosp as she casted Verdimillious at it.
Jo vs Mosp #22
t!dice 1d20+4 (14) vs t!dice 1d20+2 5)
Mosp #22 was hit.
Effect: -5 opponent accuracy
Duration: 1 round (affects opponent in next round)
With a flick of her wand, green sparks came out and hit the flying insect, that was left slightly disoriented. Thanks to this small moment, @Slade Deol took his chance. He ran up to the mosp and prepared his hand into a fist, ready to punch the insect.
Slade vs Mosp #22
t!dice 1d20+5 (25) vs t!dice 1d20+2 (17)
Slade successfully punched the mosp.
DAMAGE: 25 x strength ---> 25x5 (x2 because he rolled a nat 20) =250 DMG
The boy's powerful fist landed straight into the side of the mosp, moving it away from them and leaving it visibly damaged, its flying even more precarious. This though didn't stop the creature from attacking the students back: it aimed its stingers towards Jo Morgan, still pretty upset with the girl for having hit it with the spell.
Mosp #22 vs Jo
Who does the mosp #22 attack? (1-G, 2-L, 3-J, 4-S)
t!dice 1d4 (3)---> Jo Morgan

t!dice 1d20+3 (9) vs t!dice 1d20+4 (14)
Jo avoided the attack.
With a quick jump to the side, Jo successfully avoided the dangerous stingers of the insect as it flew next to her; when the mosp realised it had missed its target, it turned around and, as it buzzed angrily, prepared itself to attack the girl again.
The Others
As everyone else was busy fighting off the terrifying insects, @Jake Morris was stuck in a crying state. The poor, little badger had tried his best to remember as much as he could about the mosps, he knew that one kind was particularly dangerous while the other one was peaceful unless attacked, but he didn't succeed. Then, if that was not enough, the voice in his head decided to terrify him some more as it told him that it would have come for him, before leaving the young boy alone, silence the only thing left in Jake's mind. Even though he had hoped so many times that the voice would just leave him alone, this was not how Jake wanted it to go; this way he was left wondering who the person behind the voice was, and knowing that it might have been anyone only made the young badger more agitated. As more fire spells were casted, all that Jake could do was scream and duck away from the fire, as he begged, to no one in particular, to not let the voice take him. @Alan Vanes was still next to his badger friend; he tried to tell the other students not to kill the mosps, but it looked like they were not listening. Determined to make the insects go away, the young boy tried to cast the snowflake-creating spell, hoping that the possible cold weather might make the bugs flee.
Alan's attempt at casting spell
t!dice 1d20+5 (7)
Spell was casted.
Right after the boy successfully casted his spell, little snowflakes started descending from the ceiling, as if the Boys' Changing Room didn't have a roof and they were out in the open during a snowy day. The snowflakes started accumulating slowly on the ground, creating a thin, slippery layer of snow. It definitely wasn't a snowstorm, that's for sure, but the mosps didn't look too concerned or upset by the change of weather - after all, being magical creatures and native to Scotland, the cold weather was not a problem for them. They might have actually enjoyed -especially the red ones- seeing the red blood of their enemies so bright against the white of the snow.

As Grace was standing there, throat throbbing, she felt a hand grab her arm as she was pulled down.

She got hurt, but thankfully, she was saved by someone.

“OH MY GOD WE’RE GONNA DIE TONIGHT!” she yelled, her voice hoarse from screaming.

Grace was hyperventilating, she’s probably going to be going to therapy after all of this crazy stuff, or maybe she won’t tell her parents.

Yeah that’s a better idea.

Grace took deep breaths, but the buzzing was still getting closer.

Shoot.

But something else happened.

Grace saw something bright and green from the corner of her eye, a girl she remembered from before casted a charm on the Mosp.

And some boy punched it.

Grace stood up, she wasn’t letting these people spare their lives for her or something.

She dug through her bag, trying to find something she could use.

Obviously not her EpiPens or anything she really needed to keep with her.

“What about a book?” she thought “No, these are library books, I can’t throw it at a Mosp!”

She dug through more, this was hopeless.

“I’m an idiot! My wand!” she pulled it out and pointed it at the bug.

She said loud and clearly “Tarantallegra!”

The spell didn't work - dammit. This was the one time when that charm would be useful. Why did he have to waste all of his luck on making Jake's nightlight super small or turning Freddie into a giant monster? Just as he was kicking himself for his failure, Adonis ran out and punched the bug. It fell over dead. Well, that settled things nicely. George was happy that he could always rely on the bravery of bold idiots when he needed it most. Unfortunately, his greatest allies could also be his worst enemies. The chill of snowflakes hitting his back made the boy shiver, his kilt providing very little coverage from the accumulating chill of the snowflake spell. God, it was like his legs were turning into icicles!

The banshee @Grace Mint was still screaming about how they were going to die, although she seemed to stop as she realized that the threat to her had been dealt with. George couldn't help but throw in his two cents about it, however. "Nobody's going to die, stop your shrieking or I'll release those bludgers! Then you'll have something to cry over!"

He wouldn't do that, of course, but if the girl wasn't going to shut up on her own, he'd need to give her a reason. Besides, it helped to get a little revenge on her for that slap earlier. The little Ravenclaw cast a spell on the mosp that was trying to go for Jo - it seemed that he mosps were very interested in enforcing the 'no girls' rules of the Changing Room, something George could appreciate, although their murderous methods were beyond what even he would resort to.

In another instance of the bravery of bold idiots, Jack Warren threw a bolt of fire in the direction of the mosp that was peacefully pollinating the flowers that Alan had summoned to save George from a horrible double mosp sting. That thing was definitely going to be angry now. Thankfully, George was also native to Scotland, and relatively unbothered by the cold - unbothered enough that he had the presence of mind to try and cast another spell to help out his friend. He was sure Jack could beat this one in a fistfight - but a little extra help never hurt. The same move, one more time. He took aim with his cherry wood wand.

"Reducio!" he said, aiming for the mosp. "Smush that bug, Jack!"
Action: casting reducio on mosp #19.
