Alan was a bit confused as to why it was such a surprise to the other kid that he was a friend of Santario. He hoped he did not get something wrong, but he was completely sure that they were friends as well, San has told him that after all. He was waiting for the other boy's next move, not quite sure how he was supposed to react.

His eyes widened slightly, when the Slytherin's whole demeanor changed. It confused the third year, this change was too sudden and made him question everything. He flinched when Erik dropped a hand onto his shoulder and stared up to him like a deer caught in the headlights, until he shook himself out of this mind-set and smiled back at the Slytherin. Sure he was still nervous and was not sure whether he should trust the Slytherin, but for now he forced himself to relax and took the others hand, shaking it.

"Th-the pleasure is all mine...", he murmured, looking the other into the venomous green eyes as he did so, showing that he at least knew of proper etiquette; at least when he wasn't surprising strangers in the middle of a corridor. "Well... is that important? I met her on the Grounds and we became friends after... that's i-it..." The Gryffindor had no idea how he was supposed to answer the question correctly, or if there was a correct way to answer the question; important was that he was saying the truth. How was he supposed to judge the other kid, was it possible to judge him at all? Alan glanced over to the hand that was still sitting on his shoulder, before glancing back at the second year, "Why?"

If he was being honest, he was just happy that he was in no immediate danger anymore... or so he assumed.

As Erik layed his hand on Alan's shoulder the boy looked at him like he was going to be brutally murdered on the spot. A small smile played on his lips as a result of this action. Are you scared, little Gryffindork? Good. You should be., Erik thought to himself. As tempting as it was to say it out loud, he refrained himself from that urge. He knew better then that. If Alan truly was a friend of San's well then he would be in deep and troubled waters. He couldn't afford that. Neither did he really wanted to. However, the little lion seemed to be not all that afraid as he returned his handshake. Well, well, little lion man. Are you in fact made of sturdier stuff? Hmmm?, Erik wondered about this, but shook his head. Probably not.

Alan looked him in the eyes as he spoke. As he told him he became friends with her on the grounds it didn't seemed to put him completely at ease. Sure, it was plausible. San made friends easily, so it wasn't a ridiculous thought she had made a friend in Alan. Why she had made friends with him? Erik had absolutely no clue. It was mindboggeling. They couldn't have been more at odds if you had asked him. When Alan threw the ball back at him and started inquiring why he needed to know about this Erik was baffled. The sheer audacity of this Gryffindork was midblowing. Because I don't trust the likes of you, Alan. You're a strange person. That's to say the last. I'm going to go against my better judgement and take you on your word for it, but if I find out you lied to me I swear I'm going to make you regret it. Promise. As if to show he meant it he pressed hard on Alan his shoulder. Got it?

Alan slightly furrowed his brows at the statement made by the other kid, about the third year being the weird guy out of the two of them. "You were the one a-attempting to p-punch me for no a-apparent reason," he pointed out as he straightened his posture slightly, trying to find the gaze of the kid standing in front of him. "D-Do you like her?", he wondered with mild confusion as to why it was so important to him. Of course Alan only meant this in a platonic and non-romantic fashion but with the whole situation and the third year's wording the Slytherin with the venomous eyes could have easily interpreted this to be an inquiry about any sorts of romantic feelings towards Santario.

If Alan even realized the bold threat of the student in front of him was quite questionable, since he might have been too focused on the topic and he would doubt that the other kid would actually bring any kind of harm to him. Even if the other kid would do such a thing, Alan had nothing to worry about since he had been telling the snake nothing but the truth and should be safe from the threats just based on that. He would have to see perhaps, but for now he was curious what Erik had to say.

There is a big difference between stupidity and bravery. However, Erik had not a single clue which one should be best applied here. With one sentence this idiotic boy had accused him of being short of temper and hot headed and in the other he had bravely or foolishly implied that he had romantic feelings for Santario. Who the hell did this waste of space think he was? The werewolf shot the Gryffindork a death glare and balled his hand into a fist whilst squeezing ever tighter with his other hand on his shoulder. By now this must've started hurting. The Slytherin was trying his hardest not to slam this idiot's face against a wall.

Through gritted teeth, he spoke: Don't. Ever. Imply. Something. Like. That. Again. Erik looked him right in the ignorant boy's eyes as he punched his fist as hard as he could into the wall behind the little lion. Got that?! The werewolf had enough of this boy. About his simplistic answers, his very questionable motives and his all around demeanor. The only thing that was holding Erik back to actually finish what he had started with the boy was the sincerity with which the boy had spoken about his friendship with San. Well, yes, that and the fact San was friends with the both of them. How much more can I take before I snap?, Erik silently wondered as he looked over the simpleton with contempt.

When the pressure of the grip onto his shoulder intensified, he could feel the nails of the other kid dig into his shoulder, causing the third year to cringe at the pain as he staggered back to escape the painful hold. "Wh-What is wrong w-with you? I j-just asked if y-you like her or n-not! Sh-She is your f-friend i-isn't she?" he would ask as he stared at him in shock. Did he really just punch the wall because of such a simple question? What was so bad about liking her?

He is weird, was all that Alan could think about. He also had a short temper which seriously was not difficult to notice and Alan would make sure that he would take that into consideration if he met him or talked to him. But he wondered what it was that made him be friends with Santario and he could not be all bad, right? Alan would give the Slytherin a short glance over, after he shrugged the hand off his shoulder just so that he could not tighten his grip again. Surely it would have left a mark if it wasn't for the layer of clothing protecting his skin, that dampened the pressure of the fingers and prevented the nails from actually digging into his skin.

When Erik saw the other boy cringing from pain as he backed away, shrugging off his hand with his shoulder, he couldn't help, but feel some small bit of joy. At least the warning came through that thick skull of that Gryffindork. Good. Now hopefully you will know not to mess with me., the Slytherin silently thought to himself. However, that small sliver of hope just got blown out of the water as the other boy started blurting out nonsense again. He dared even state that the problem lay with Erik. The sheer audacity of this statement baffled the werewolf. If he wasn't so mad he would applaud, if not commend, the boy for it. Right now? Not a chance. What's wrong with ME?!, Erik was shouting at this point. What the hell is wrong with you is the question you should ask yourself! Did your parents drop you on your head when you were younger? Did you hit your head when you woke up this morning? Tell me! I got to know how you are... The Slytherin was looking for words. Well, you! Why are you even implying I have feelings for San? She is my friend. That's it! I swear on Merlin's beard if you ask me any other stupid questions or give me a stupid remark or just spout nonsense I will not be held accountable for my actions.

As to show Alan that he was in fact serious he took a couple of steps forward and intensly looked him straight in the eyes. Erik was ready to grab Alan by his shirt, pull him closer and slam his fist on that stupid, smug face.

The other kid appeared to be very angry, very suddenly. Well he had been angry before that or at least annoyed but it was still a bit weird why he would suddenly snapped because of such a simple question. But as he continued to speak it suddenly dawned on Alan what was going on in the others head at the moment.

Instead of backing away or breaking eye contact the third year lightly raised his hands with his palms facing into the direction of the fuming blonde. He had to put this straight so that the situation would not escalate because the other kid had followed an assumption and got something wrong. Alan really had no intention to fight the other kid or to undermine him in any way. "I w-wasn't i-implying anything! I d-didn't mean th-that kind of l-liking her, th-that's on you- Wh-Why are you so m-mad?!", he asked without raising his voice much if at all, still in a little bit of shock as he lightly shook his head at the younger student.

Maybe Alan should have been scared or worried in the moment, but he clearly wasn't. The Slytherin had already tried to punch him a few minutes ago and was clearly angry at him but Alan hoped that it would not come to any further violent actions as he did not want to make an enemy here!

Erik his head was hurting now. The Gryffindork in front of him seemed to be the very embodiment of the definition of stupidity. This very, to Erik seeming, one-sided conversation should have been deemed criminal. Alan's simplicity was just too much to comprehend. The Slytherin pinched with his fingertips at the top of the bridge of his nose as to lessen the headache. At this point the boy didn't want to have anything more to do with the Gryffindork.

When Alan stepped closer and kept on wailing Erik took a few steps back. I-... I just need some silence. That's all I need. Silence... I need to think., he stammered. The young werewolf had no idea how he could possibly get that which he so desperately craved for. That's when the idea hit him. I'll make him shut up. Seeing as the boy was not afraid to get hit by a fist, he would need to use another tactic. Erik knew just the thing. As fast as he possibly could, he pulled out his blackthorn wand from his back pocket and aimed it at Alan. With the tip of his wand he made a loop like movement as you do when you are tying your shoelaces whilst saying: Mimblewimble! A shot of green light spat forward from the tip of Erik's wand as the Tongue-Tying Spell went flying.

The third year was glancing at the other kid who was requesting silence and Alan had nothing else to add to the conversation to do just that. He was mostly confused about the whole situation anyway and he never got a response as to why the Slytherin was this mad. Alan felt a little lost in the conversation and stared at the other kid, still waiting in the hopes that he would be replying to the question asked. It would help Alan a lot to know why the other kid was so mad, because what that Alan had done could have made the other student so mad?

Then he watched him pull out his wand in a flash and cast the tongue tying jinx and despite his efforts to dodge out of the way the third year was hit square in the chest. It must not have been difficult to aim the attack considering of how close they stood by each other. In an instant he would feel the unpleasant sensation of his tongue forming what seemed like a knot. He would attempt to say "What have you done? Why would you do that?" but every sound that left his mouth sounded like gibberish and was completely unintelligible. Alan narrowed his eyes slightly as he stared at the other kid. "Fix this" but again there was no actual words leaving him, at least nothing that would sound like actual words.

Erik grinned as he noticed the spell hit his target square in the chest. Yes! Finally some peace and quiet! This small victory was short lived though as Alan kept on blabbering. The difference with a few minutes ago was the fact that he now wasn't spouting complete nonsense. No, he now was incoherent and Erik couldn't understand what came pouring out his mouth. The spell sure was doing its job, but it wasn't the desired effect the boy had wanted. Alan wasn't quiet. Is he really that stupid that he doesn't know that his tongue got tied up in a knot? Surely, that can't be... Or can it?, Erik wondered as he looked over to the unfortunate boy. So far you haven't exactly proven to be a genius, so maybe you are just that dumb. The werewolf had pity on the poor boy. Life must be so hard for him. Not being able to comprehend the simplest of things. But there was a saying ignorance is bliss. So, maybe things were a lot easier for him. Whatever it was, it had to help Alan now and Erik would help him to understand the situation out of the sheer kindness of his heart.

The Slytherin spoke as slowly and clearly as he could. Pronouncing every single sullable and letter. You. Are. Under. A. Spell. Don't. Try. To. Talk. Okay? Just. Give. Me. A. Thumbs. Up. If. You. Understand. As to lead by example he gave Alan a thumbs up.
