Personality

Her personality is that of any 12 year old- she likes to make friends and play. Although she can be rather mischievous and get up to no good if she feels up to it. Being the only child in her family and having the attention always on her has been both a blessing and a curse. A blessing in the form of what any child would want - attention! But a curse in the fact that it has pushed Alaska to want to be rebellious, perhaps she should climb this tree? Perhaps she should try and snatch this candy her mother said she couldn't have? However, she's also particularly shy upon meeting people for the first time. Wary of anybody she doesn't know, 'Stranger Danger' and all that. It may take her a bit before she finally opens up and talks more often.

Description

Alaska Rain Hawke is an 11 year old girl. She looks strikingly similar to her mother, with the only notable change being that she has tan skin like her father. With light brown eyes and light brown, curly hair- she is a very cute child. She doesn't smile often, in fact she often looks like she may be spacing out. Whether she is thinking about some dastardly plan- or what she wants to eat next is up for debate however. When she does smile it's extremely infectious, along with her laugh. So loud it fills the room, accompanied by wild snorts. She does have one other distinct feature- a birthmark on her arm. A lack of pigment in one spot making a tiny square of white.

Pre-Hogwarts History

Alaska was born to Erin Hawke & Kele Hawke, two muggles who knew nothing about magic at all. She was born on a cold winter day, just a couple days after Christmas during a rather harsh rainstorm. As soon as she was born Alaska took the world head on. Her parents had no idea what they had in store for them, but either way, they loved Alaska. Throughout her first couple of years in normal Muggle School, she quickly made friends with Aaliyah Blackburn, and the two of them have been inseparable since. It wasn't until some off things started happening around Alaska that her parents started questioning their sanity just a bit more. One such event was that of a streak of pink hair appearing on her when she saw somebody with it on the television. After asking her mother if she could do that, and her mother saying no, a tantrum was thrown prompting the hair change- which quickly changed back after nearly giving her mother a heart attack. It wasn't until a different tantrum that unlocked a dog's cage that her parents knew something was up. It was enough to catch the attention of the ministry and Alaska received her letter for Hogwarts. Her mother and father were extremely proud and happy for their young daughter, and Alaska was extremely excited to know that magic was indeed real! Everything has been extremely exciting ever since! It does such that she can't go to school with Aaliyah anymore though, or tell her best friend anything about this.
