The moment the last heart vanished, the portcullis finally collapsed. Skylar threw her wand into the air. “YES!” It was a relief, rather than pride, that she was the one who dealt the final blow. After the swinging axe, the card soldiers, and whatever ridiculous obstacle awaited, she was simply glad this path was finished. “I never want to see another gate again.” She watched the gate crash backwards satisfactorily, and the shrill voice of the card soldiers echoed through the palace. “That’s what you get for being rude.” She stuck out her tongue, mocking them back annoyingly. Leaving the ruined gate with a victorious grin, she glanced at her friends. “Let’s go, guys.”

Skylar led everyone through the entrance with enthusiastic eyes, fully expecting a grand final battle waiting on the other side. Yet, instead, she was greeted by sunlight and silence. Her expression slowly changed as she looked around the throne room. Despite all the grand decoration, it was just an empty luxurious chair. “…So, where’s the queen?” She tried to scan the room diligently as her eyes landed on the golden throne that suddenly squeaked and split itself. “You’re telling me we went through all that just for five seats?” She said in a sarcastic tone. “At least, let me fight the queen!” The Slytherin girl had gone through several stages of disappointment as she sat heavily on one of the thrones.

It took her a good ten minutes to finally let go of the matter. Sigh… She gave a wry smile. “Well… we did survive after all.” A corner of her lips lifted a bit as she looked around at the others. “I suppose that’s a victory worth celebrating anyway.” Skylar pushed herself back to her feet once more and brushed the rose petals from her robes before she walked away.

“See you all at the Waltz, then.”

Watching his third rock fail to meet its mark was a dissatisfying to be sure. He grumbled a few crude words under his breath, not wanting to disturb the others in their attempts. He did pay close attention though, and when Skylars spell finally landed, he threw his hands up in victory. «Yes! That’s how it’s done!» keeping his hands up, he made sure to offer high-fives to everyone with a wide grin. He didn’t get to take a stab at it himself, but the gate coming down was a victory for them all.

He followed close behind Skylar as they moved forwards, eager to see what awaited them next. It was… not what he expected. «Maybe we scared her off?» He suggested with a shrug as he looked around. As much as he wanted to throw hands on any given day, not having to was usually better. The throne split itself, and he snorted at Skylars comment. «I guess they didn’t want us to fight over the one. But hey, you could always try threatening the cards for where the queen went. I’m sure they’d be happy to tell you!»

He didn’t wait much longer before he crossed the space and placed himself laidback in one of the chairs. Flinging a leg over one of the armrests, he let it dangle freely in the air. «Yeah. Good job guys! I’m sort of glad we all did it together. If it was just me, I’d still be poking the mushrooms of the first path» He joked, looking around at them all. «But thankfully we have both smart and competent people» He laughed. Both Skylar and Edward had more than proven themselves to be both. Zeph was probably more like himself, but at least he managed to throw the stupid rock and hit. Harumi was smart and competent enough, and he was sort of glad he wasn’t the only one that failed time and time again. But that was what friends were for, support and laugh it off. He had been given the role of jester after all, and it suited him well.

He stayed like that for a moment before he began getting restless. The thought of the ball in a couple of hours, to not even speak of the person who would meet him there, had his stomach churning. So when the others began to depart, he didn’t wait long before jumping to his feet. «Yeah, see ya all at the ball!» Then he practically skipped off.

They won? Harumi was almost baffled, she knew they'll eventually reach the end, but it felt almost like a dream now that they actually did. "Awesome work, Skylar!! And everyone really! " She cheered happily, without her team she may have just given up a few times already, especially after falling in water, she is thankful they were there for her all along.

♠︎♥︎ Upon entering and seeing the thrones Harumi ran to one of them and jumped onto it. "That's it, I'm not moving again until next year, leave without me." She announced after curling herself on the seat comfortably. "I mean, after all that, seats are awesome, I want to sit here forever." She replied to Skylar's comment about only getting seats.

♣︎ She listened to Max suggesting to threaten the cards, she was half asleep at that point so she couldn't gather what he meant by cards and thought he just wanted to annoy inanimate objects for amusement. When she heared him say something about mushrooms next, she lost hope in him, were mushrooms going to be his next target? "Make some mushroom soup while you're at it." She said thoughtlessly.

♠︎♥︎ It was when they started saying their goodbyes that she became alert again. "hey, guys! Are you leaving without me for real!" She questioned mock-hurt. "I might just sleep and let you go to the ball alone by the way." She warned in case she actually did. "But I need to see Max's face there, so see ya there probably!" She decided before standing up.

♣︎ Her thoughts now went to the dress waiting for her in the dorms, and the impending hair brushing she'll have to do, that easily drowned all thoughts of the labyrinth and winning, and made her reconsider just napping and ditching her friends.

As soon as the rock hit the gate, Skylar's spell followed right after. The gate shuddered violently that he had to take a step back just to be safe. The entire thing looked like it's about to explode. "Err..." That was all he managed before the gate finally collapsed backwards into a cloud of dust. "WOAH!" He stared at the wreckage in disbelief. There was a bit of silence there before it was broken by a voice. "What was that? Was it the Red Queen? Or was it the gate? Did it just threaten us." If it was, he was no longer surprised at this point.

After the voice was gone, everything else followed. It was just them and the maze. His grin appeared just as the others were celebrating. "We actually did it!" He followed the others through the broken gate and into the palace. They arrived at the largest throne room he had ever seen in his life. "Blimey..." The golden throne at the far end was demanding his attention. "That thing's massive."

The second he said that, something happened with the throne, it wriggled as if it was alive before splitting into five separate thrones! Nothing in this maze behaved normally from the moment they arrived. A giant banner rolled down behind the thrones with the words CONGRATULATIONS written in bold red letters and at the same time, rose petals began falling from above. "I'm assuming it's official?!" He turned to his friends, "Guys! We just won!" Skylar made a good point, he was still reeling from their achievement that it felt unreal. That's it? "I expected more." Speaking of the Queen, he chuckled at his friend's request, "I don't want to fight the Queen, but at least let us meet her properly and give us our own crown or something like that." He shrugged.

Like the others, he threw himself into the throne and lazily sat there, pushing himself down and leaning further back. "This would have been better if there are available food and drink. I'm starving!" As if on cue, his tummy rumbled he's not even embarrassed after that ordeal they just went through. When the others mentioned the ball, he groaned as Harumi complained. The reminder of the ball brought back his own worry. If it's just him, he'll just sleep in his dorm room but he promised his parents he would at least try to enjoy his first formal ball...ever. With no other choice, he dragged his lazy bum out of the throne and innocently said, "I hope our thrones will be sent to our dorm, I'd like to keep mine." He said it out loud so it would reach the organizers. I mean, it's worth a try. Feeling smug, he left with the others.
Action: Requesting his throne be sent to his dorm, he'd like to keep it thank you very much! Teehee. Feeling smug and proud of their accomplishment. Thanks for the gifts by the way! <3 Love this activity! Thanks to the organizers! <3
