Welcome to the new and improved Avatar Shop! We had an old one previously but it was old and run down with no organization so myself and a fellow prefect, @Griseldis Edelhardt took it upon ourselves to do something about it and now here we are, tada!

Now time to introduce our lovely artists and helpers and what they do! (Artists with + next to them have fees for their artwork and we will list how much they are) Please pay upfront/before the artist takes on your request!

Just as a reminder, your avatar should resemble an 11 year old child as a first year and so on as your character ages. The sizing of your picture should have 260x300 as the minimum dimensions. (Note: This can be changed by the help of our lovely artists so don't worry if you find a picture you like and it doesn't fit!)

We are always looking for more help and if you have any talent, even if it's as simple as resizing pictures or help finding face claims let myself or Gris know via owl!

If you want to offer your original art skills please owl one of us (or put in the the #arts channel on Discord) with either a sketch with the date and Gris or my name on the paper if you are a traditional artist or a screenshot if you are a digital artist. For digital artists, the character in the screenshot must be Gris or myself as the example, with 3 layers beside, and shows a file name "Hogwarts.io/Gris (or Annie depending on who you make art of)".

This is purely because we do not want nor do we support plagiarism, so yes these rules might seem a bit extreme but they are there for a reason. Thank you!

Questions one might have/FAQ:
Q: "Is there a fee for the original art?"
A: Depends on the artist, if you have a preferred artist you might want to owl them to see their case, if not and you want art for free then please write that in the other section.

Q: "How long will it take?"
A: If it's a face claim or resizing, should be fairly quick versus if you are getting color editing or original art which could take longer or may be shorter depending on the artist. If you want it done in a certain time period, list that in the other and we will try our best to meet your needs but our artists might be unable to complete this request if it is too extreme.

Q: "You missed me in the list/didn't tag me when my art was done."
A: Granted this isn't a question, we are doing our best to keep this thread up and running and organized so give us a small break if we make a mistake. Always feel free to @ us or owl us if you are concerned

Q: "Why isn't he/she/they responding to my request/doing my art?"
A: The person that may have been doing your work has too many other requests. We try not to overload our artists with too many requests so patience is greatly appreciated. Either that or they are busy with real life things/may be on a vacation or what not. If they are going to be gone for a period of time we will put it on the front page to let you know. As a side note, if it is something like resizing or finding a face claim, then we would most likely be able to switch you to another artist but if it's original art or edits, then you'd just have to wait for a bit.

Q: "Why aren't we allowed to discuss freely what we want during thread?"
A: This is because we want to keep this thread as clean as possible. If we had the helpers posting face claims or art all the time pages would fill up quickly. Granted that would make us look popular, it can also get overwhelming and hard to find or keep track of things. If you have a specific request that you didn't list or forgot to list on your application discuss this with your the person helping you VIA OWL and NOT on this thread
