Day two of her experimentations. She had these planned down to where to set them up. Being a Monday, that meant the corridors would be filled with students going back and forth for class. Perfect to leave her next set of parchment in.

Before classes started for the day, she brought her foldable table and set it up out of the way but still in a rather obvious spot. She placed the photo frame of herself she brought with her on the desk. Then she placed two parchment sheets as well. One with the instructions and one which was divided into two.

Today's experiment was the Halo effect experiment. The experiment was to test how people assume your characteristics based on a brief description and one good and bad quality you give them. It showed how people were easily assuming of things that weren't necessarily true.

On the parchment sheet she had left, she had written a brief description about herself. Her name, age, year, house and blood status. Below that where the page was split in half, she had one good quality on one side and the bad quality on the other side. On the instructions sheet she had written that the person had to just write one good and one bad quality they thought she had based on the information she provided.

She left the area heading for her classes. She'd come back at the end of the day to collect it and conclude her experiments.

Nicole slowed her step when she saw the small, foldable table tucked neatly up against the corridor wall. At first, she thought it was a sign-up sheet for another club, but then she saw the framed photograph and the neatly divided parchment, and she paused. Her curiosity was piqued—she'd heard rumours of a first-year Ravenclaw doing experiments, but she'd never expected to find one on her way to class.

She came closer, looking at the instructions with concentration. The Halo Effect… assumptions made on a quick description. It was fairly simple, and she liked the fact that Fawkes wasn't actually there—it made the whole thing seem less like being judged and more like being part of something interesting.

Nicole took up the quill beside the parchment. She thought for a moment and then wrote her two qualities in the appropriate columns, neat and small so as not to take up too much space.

Her good quality was that she was resolute; her bad quality was that she was impatient. She put the quill back where it had been and looked at the table one last time thoughtfully, then moved down the corridor to her next class, curious to see what conclusions she would draw from all of this.

Olivia was making her way to her next lesson with her friends when she noticed a small table placed carefully out of the way but well enough to be noticed at the side of the corridor. She told her friends to walk on as she headed over to investigate.

She genuinely had no idea why it was placed there and hoped it was a prank she was about to witness. Once she got closer she saw a picture of Fawkes and a piece of parchment next to it. She looked at the parchment and saw Fawkes's name, age, house and blood status. Underneath that was another peice of parcemnt which was split in half with a good trait and a bad trait. From the writing she could tell that someone had already added to the list.

She didn't know Fawkes well she had only seen her around and breifly interacted with her. Olivia picked up the quill thinking for a moment as she read the adjectives once more before writing her own assumptions. For the good quality she wrote, hardworking and for the bad she wrote, indecisive. She looked at the words and the image once more before placing the quill back down, and heading off to catch up with her friends.

Monday morning, the most wonderful day of the week. Jada trudged down the corridors, still half asleep. A fluttering piece of paper stuck into the wall caught her eye. Nothing special, probably just something about one of the other nerdy clubs in this school. Wait! She retraced her steps, looking more carefully at the piece of paper.

She read the instructions, next to the picture of a girl. She seemed familiar, had they met before? Yes! That one time in the courtyard, she was the bossy one who had so rudely interrupted her and @Tes Cadell’s conversation. She rolled her eyes, skimming the information she’d left on the paper.

There was nothing unusual. What really caught her eye was the list below. One side for good qualities and one for bad. Others had been here before her and added to it. In turn, she took out her quill and added in the negative section ’bossy’, a smirk spreading on her face. The good side was comparably harder to fill in. She was very biased in this situation buthe sheet had been available for anyone to fill in, so she was going to. Eventually, she settled on something generic, ‘resilient’ before walking off again.
