As I open the library, I immediately faced with so many faces. Who knows. Maybe there are some second or third years around the shelves. Fifth or above grader around the tables. Or maybe some newbie first year, like me, in the other corner. Well, who should be blame? It's already June, mind you care. Time for the final lectures for professors and class for us students.

I ... don't really care about it, unfortunately. I'm here because I need to. One and another homeworks of mine need more references I couldn't get just from the textbooks I have. For, maybe, some people, it could be bothersome to searched for another references when you already had textbook but alas the answer couldn't be found there. Like, what's the point to buy these textbooks then? However, that's not really my case.

One and for most, searching for another references is like a treasure hunt for me. Simply said, the textbook is a well-known street even newcomers know where it lead, while this unknown references can only be found with effort to getting more than we supposedly expected. A bonus. Another reason is it's my chance to go to library. I mean, sure, I can go whenever I want as it is my perk to became a student here, but when I had no reason and ended like a lost child in these huge library ... no, thanks.

I started to go for one shelf and another. Searching everything I need, then bring it all to the farthest table where no much people roaming around there. As I looking at the tower book in my desk, and my bag where I put all my homeworks inside, I took a deep breath and began turning the pages of the very top book of the stack.

I'm not sure how long I had been poring over this book when I caught a glimpse of a girl out of the corner of my eye, walking hesitantly around the shelves not far from where I sat. Judging by the way she acts, looks like she's a first grader just like me. But what she doing/looking for in that shelf which didn't contain a single book for the first year's subjects?

Curious, I open my mouth and asked, "Hey, are you looking for something?" I know I can't judge anyone by their cover but I can't help but assume and added, "I believe that shelf you're looking for only includes lessons for third year and above. You're in first grade, right? Just like me?"

As I walked into the library, I was greeted by the sweet smell of books. I can't let myself be distracted though, I need to find books for my classes and homework. Ever since I arrived at Hogwarts, I've been trying my best to not fall behind on study material and homework. There was so much to learn and I didn't want to fall behind.

As I slowly made my way through the rows of shelves, running my fingers along the spines while searching for the books I needed, I finally realized that the library was much bigger than I had thought. Every now and then, I stopped to look at a book with a pretty cover or interesting title, only to remember that I had come here to find the books I needed for my classes.

After a while, I found myself looking at a huge shelf filled with thick, dusty books. I pulled one out and looked at the title, which didn't sound familiar at all. I frowned and looked at another book, and then another, and another, and another. But none of them sounded familiar or seemed to have anything to do with my classes.

I glanced around the library, wondering if I had somehow ended up in the wrong section. Maybe I should've asked for help. But then I heard a voice. "Hey, are you looking for something?" I turned around and I saw this girl who looked like she was around my age with thick, black hair. Before I could answer, she said: "I believe that shelf you're looking for only includes lessons for third year and above. You're in first grade, right? Just like me?"

"Oh!" I said while lowering the book. "That would explain why none of these make any sense." I laughed awkwardly and glanced back at the shelf. "Yeah, I'm a first year. I was looking for books for my homework, but I guess I ended up in the wrong section." I walked a little closer to her table and widened my eyes when I saw the stack of books on her table. "Have you actually read all of those books?" I asked.

"Have you actually read all of those books?"

I followed where her eyes were looking at the tower of books in front of me. I cleared my throat, bookmarking the book I just read and answer, "Sort of, since there's a homework that required me to find answer and references from other sources, so ... I'm just looking for anything related to."

Anyway, it's not really I would actually read from the beginning to end of these books. Once I have found the answer I'm looking for, it was the end of business. Unless, if I have time later, I didn't mind to finished it. But well, for some reason I just keep it in my mind about this.

"After all," I set aside the book I had been reading to take the homeworks out of my bag. "It's not just one assignment but ... four subjects. There's no way I can read all of these in a day."

I chuckled, suddenly reminded of me something back in my home. "But well, it's another story if I were a robot and I—"

I immediately closed my mouth, just realised that I said something she might not know or understand at all. How if she is a pure-blood who never even known the existence of hairdryer? With that, I coughed and give her the simplest explanation, "Uh, sorry, what I mean a 'robot' is an artificial machinery creature humans had made. Simply, to make life easier. So, whatever thing impossible for ordinary human to do, is possible if done by robot."

I'm screwed up! I never can explain things clearly to other people, especially if they aren't either had a same base as me as a muggle! If after this she looking at me like I'm some kind of weirdo, it totally my fault!

After all, It's not just one assignment but ... four subjects. There's no way I can read all of these in a day. "Uh, sorry, what I mean a 'robot' is an artificial machinery creature humans had made. Simply, to make life easier. So, whatever thing impossible for ordinary human to do, is possible if done by robot."

I smiled and said, "No need to apologize, I've actually never heard of a robot before, but it sounds really interesting." I pulled out the chair across from her and sat down. I leaned forward slightly, resting my arms on the table. "So muggles have these robot things to help them do things more easily? That almost sounds like magic."

I thought about it for a moment. My family didn't really talk much about muggle inventions, so most of what I knew came from the books I've read. "I'm from a pureblood family, so I don't know that much about muggle things," I admitted. "Most of it sounds completely new to me." I smiled awkwardly before glancing at the homework she had spread across the table. "Honestly, though, I think I'd rather learn about robots than spend hours looking through books for homework."

My eyes drifted back towards the stack of books. "How do you even keep track of all of these without getting confused? Oh, and my name is Lize by the way."

I breathed a sigh of relief. Good she's fine with my blabbering and seemed interested enough with what I just said about the robot thing. And I couldn't agree more when she said it works like magic because somehow it is. The difference is how the both being created and manifested. While robot and other muggle creations developed by science and logical things, magic can be ... hard to explained, well at least for a muggle.

"How do you even keep track of all of these without getting confused? Oh, and my name is Lize by the way."

I snapped out of my thought since I realised I haven't introduce myself to her. How rude of me. "Ah, yes, nice to meet you, Lize. You can call me Millie."

I make a quick scribble onto my note before I copy it into my homework after this, and then looked back up to Lize as she seemed still dumbfounded by the tower of books in the middle of our table. "Hm, you see, my father is a farmer. He's always either in our chicken coop or cow shed. When I had nothing to do, I like to helped him, but turned out his work was more than I expected. Like you, I once asked him how he could handle those much of works." I paused as I put down my feather beside the note I had just written. "He took out the similar pocket note like mine, but a little bigger than this. You know? He wrote his daily schedule there, from morning to evening. There's even many additional notes tucked away messily here and there, I barely can read what he scribbled there." I chuckled. "And then, he bought this for me the moment he and my mum took me to the station before I got on the train."

I smiled, then put the note aside. "So, if you wants to more about muggle thing, I'd be happy to tell whatever you wants to know, Lize." I glanced aside, realised there's something I haven't had an answer for. "Back again, what made you wander over to that shelf?" I asked, tilting my chin toward the shelves not far from the table we were now sitting. The same shelves where I found her a few minutes earlier.

"I listened quietly as Millie introduced herself. She explained how her father kept track of his work on the farm and how he used a notebook to organize everything he had to do. As she spoke, I glanced down at the notebook she had placed on the table. It seemed simple enough, but I could see why it would be useful.

When she offered to tell me more about muggle things, I couldn't help but smile. There were so many things I didn't know, and Millie seemed happy to explain them.

"Back again, what made you wander over to that shelf?" She asked. "Honestly?" I said with a small laugh. "I was looking for the books that I needed for my homework." I glanced over toward the shelves. "I didn't realize I was in the wrong section. None of the titles sounded familiar, but I kept checking anyway because I thought that I might have just forgotten the names of the books I need."

I shook my head, feeling slightly embarrassed. "So I basically spent several minutes looking through books meant for older students before you pointed it out."

Looking back at Millie, I smiled. "You probably saved me a lot of time." My eyes drifted toward her notebook again. "And that notebook idea is actually pretty clever. Maybe I should start writing things down too. It would probably stop me from forgetting half of what I need to do."

"You probably saved me a lot of time." I couldn't help but smile brightly. Glad to heard that. "And that notebook idea is actually pretty clever. Maybe I should start writing things down too. It would probably stop me from forgetting half of what I need to do."

"Sure," I said with a nod. "It could also help you if you have anything in mind but don't have anyone to talk to or maybe you just wants to get that thought off your head."

I paused for a brief moment, realizing something and thinking if I should mentioned it to Lize too or not. But well, I'd say it otherwise, "If you want, I think I can get you one too. I can't guarantee it'll be looking as the same as mine, but since I'm going home during summer holidays," I shrugged, smiling at her. "Still, it's your choice. If you don't like the idea, I'd stop right here."

I looked at my pocket watch. I'd think I'll doing my homework later at night so I can get more focused. I hope the library staff don't mind me borrow these much of books. Although if I can't, I could borrow half of them today and borrow the remaining one later. I slowly put my belongings back to my bag.

"Oh, should we looking for the book you need together? Maybe I can help you since I have been here many times. Or if it still can be found yet, we could go asked the House Elves."

I had never really considered writing my thoughts down before, but maybe it would help me remember things. When she offered to get me one during the summTher holidays, I blinked in surprise. "It's really kind of you to offer to get me a notebook." I said with a smile. "I'd like that, actually." I glanced down at the notebook on the table. "It doesn't have to look exactly the same. I just think it would be useful to have one."

I looked around the library. I hadn't expected a simple search for homework books to turn into a conversation, but I was glad it had. "Thanks for helping me earlier," I said. "I probably would've spent ages looking through the wrong shelves if you hadn't stopped me." I laughed softly. "And thanks for telling me about robots too. I definitely learned something new today."

"Oh, and about helping me with the books for my homework. I think I'll just ask one of the House Elves tomorrow." I smiled. "And if they can't help me, I know who to ask for help."

"It was really nice meeting you, Millie." I gave a small wave. "Good luck with your homework. Hopefully all those books are worth carrying around." With that, I turned and headed deeper into the library, feeling much more confident than when I had first walked through the doors.
