The evening was pleasant.

Its lucent light falls into the castle, casting long soothing shadows of the beautiful windows on the tiles. The hallway was barely decked with students as most had begun the evanesce from the halls to retire to the comfort of their dorms and the delights of the outdoors.

The tap of Elisa's Mary Janes was almost head-splitting if not for the chirping sounds of the birds that seemed to symbolize the movement around her that remained. She made her way to the Duelling Club room, her eyes down, moving through a book, word by word. Some history-related book that spoke of all the Muggle wars that had occurred solely due to their foolishness and arrogance, it wasn't the best of books she'd read, but enough to distract her on her way to the club.

Her eyes never bothered looking up, to see where she was going or those in front of her, after all, the route to that room had somehow been etched to the tip of her toes, a place where she'd been spending quite some time, observing the various matches.

As she finally graced the halls of the duelling club, she made her way to the spot where the duel was to be held, finally placing her book down as she looked up at the two fellow first years whose duel she was supposed to moderate. They were rather unknown faces to her, yet seemed promising.

"I hope both of you know the rules. Any doubts, clear it now, if not we shall begin"
, the words escaped her mouth as she stood still, curiosity seeping into her on how this duel'd end.

"Intended for accomplished duelists," that was what Ollivander's words when Robin received his wand. The boy isn't a zealous believer of destiny, he just heard a lot from his wizard parents about how "the wand chooses you" or "the sorting hat is never wrong" and such. Thus, the extremely non-athletic eleven-year-old decided to give this sport a try.

Robin is glad that everything worked out alright. Finding an opponent and a moderator for his first duel was quite the journey for a socially anxious young boy, but a girl was keen enough to notice him lurking around the club and deduce the situation. A girl Robin was a stranger to, whom he now knows as a Gryffindor named Natasha Blackwood, probably saw his creepy presence and decided to put an end to his misery. She initiated a conversation, they agreed on a date and time they were both free of academic obligations, and Robin reassured her that a moderator would be found shortly.

For the next few days, Robin returned to the dueling club room anytime he had the chance to, observing the common faces and determining which seemed friendlier or easier to approach. An older student, another girl, was among his list of suitable moderators. Several days later than his encounter with Natasha, Robin stopped Elisa Shakestra on her way out of the room after a heated duel. The young Ravenclaw nervously asked her to moderate, and the kind upperclassman fortunately agreed.

Now, it's finally time for all that preparation to cumulate into the main course. Robin arrived at the dueling club about five minutes before the scheduled time and greeted the two students who came after him. When Elisa signaled for them to begin, Robin had already gripped his wand firmly, eyes focused on his opponent, mind racing to form a plan.

It doesn't have to guarantee victory, it just has to be strategized to the best of his current abilities.
