ㅤRemy was born July 3rd 2014 to a woman named Wrogan. He lived with her for as long as he could remember, from the moment of birth to the moment he got the letter to Hogwarts. Remy specifically was not exposed very intricately to his father’s presence, all he knew was that his father pretty much had a one night stand and just abandoned his mother, abandoned his child. Now, he also knew that his mother made it known to his father that he had a child, but still, even then his own father didn’t really want to interface with him.

ㅤIt always confused Remy. It started driving him nuts. Not insane, but just annoyed that he existed and that a certain parent didn’t really want to care much about him. While he was growing up, he was taught basic English and the bare basics of math and other subjects by his own mother, who seemed to be smarter than he was.
ㅤHis life wasn’t really that special. He lived a very simple childhood. He played with other kids his age, he was in the outdoors a lot, and he knew how to grow his own food and act as if he were a homesteader in (american) pioneer life, along with his mother, being able to grow crops, can food and raise and butcher livestock. No, they didn’t live on a farm, but the community he lived with had to have some way of surviving without being barbaric in any way.

ㅤThis was just normal for him. Even farm children are capable of doing things that city kids struggle doing until later in their lives if they manage to put forth the effort into doing so. Remy was kind of like a farm kid, but he was neither one who lived on a farm nor one that lived in the city. He just had the knowledge. It was baked into him as he grew up.

ㅤWhen he turned 10, he received a letter from his father that simply stated that he apologized for not being there as he grew up, but he couldn’t take on any children as it would be much too heartbreaking for his very wonderful wife that he had cheated on. And inside was a vault number, not that Remy recognized it, but he would find that he had the money in the vault for what he would need for Hogwarts if he ever happened to display his first instance of magic, and only within a few weeks, that was very true. He had displayed this first instance of accidental magic.

ㅤHe would show the letter to his mother after reading it and only within a few months would they go to Diagon Alley.
PART-GIANT

ㅤBack in 2014, he was born to a full blooded Giant from the Scottish Highlands, around Durness. His father was a human, as was his other half brothers he would later find out that he had (Buck Break and Elmo Break).

ㅤHis father had a brief affair with his mom, Wrogan, before returning to his wife and that left Wrogan to raise her son alone among the giant community near Drness. He was a half giant, and his mother’s son. He grew up in a community ruled by a Gurg, and the community itself consisted of roughly 20 giants that lived in cramped mountain caves. They lived in the cave called Smoo Cave.

ㅤHe often slept near his mother, feeling that her protection was enough, even if the giant that watched for danger at night was already there for their safety. But besides that simple concept of a Giant community, he lived in a place where the traditional giant behavior would be highlighted- the physical dominance and menacingness. There were kind giants, of course, but the ones that Remy would interface with were not exactly as kindhearted.

ㅤHe felt that strength was maybe the prime characteristics that his community would respect, more that than anything else, any other qualities.

ㅤFrom birth, his own life was developed around these giants, and his mother pretty much defended their place in the caves until he was old enough to fight for himself and taught him the survival through instinct rather than through affection. What this eventually grew into was resentment and despise.

ㅤGiants are known for their short temper and impatience, well, that’s exactly what Remy is! He has a short temper and is very impatient. He wants things done now, he wants the world to revolve around him so he can command the situation. That is Remy.

ㅤHe learned early, in his childhood specifically, that to be kind was to display weakness and would allow people to take advantage of you. He was also taught that acknowledgement also only came through force. His mother may have been a smart giant, but she had, like Remy, a resentment towards the man she slept with, and it only fueled her narcissistic view on life.

ㅤAmong the other children, he was smaller than them, and he often became their target. They mocked him and used him as a punching bag (practically), threw him into the air as they played a monkey in the middle type of game that involved throwing the smaller giant towards another giant in the air and the game would end when they touched the ground. It was a game that they invented, called In The Air, and from these moments in his life around these kids, his frustration and insecurity grew and fueled his loud and blunt, yet physical personality.

ㅤNow, Wrogan also educated him with basics of English but also taught him the words of the Giant tongue, and it was a language that he was grateful to have. WIthout either English or Giant, how else was he to communicate? It mostly sounded like gibberish or grunting either way, and at least thanks to his mother, he went through the basics of homeschool.

ㅤLater on, when he experienced his first instance of magic, he began being hit with other random bursts, smaller than the first, just fizzling away every so often, but not often enough that it is noticeable or that it would matter. He would later find out that he was not made to be an adept caster, no, he wasn’t like the wizards, he didn’t grow up with a focus on developing his intellect and concentration skills. He grew up with the idea of strength and dominance. He wouldn’t know how to contain or handle magic as well as others could, and later, he would see that he had a better chance of hurting himself if he tried to cast spells. Yet, he did notice that growing up, he was able to pack a punch that was greater than the normal individual, to leave a lingering mark, a dent, a hole in something that shouldn’t have a hole- like a tree.

ㅤHis skin was also thicker than those who weren’t giants, and Remy didn’t really understand how that worked, but alas, biology was hard to understand as a Giant who only understood the bareboned basics of elementary-tier topics.

ㅤHis mother was not gentle as he grew up, being blunt and controlling, but she made Remy the way he was today.
FIRST INSTANCE OF MAGIC

ㅤRemy was just out playing with the others in his community when he got tired of being shoved around and picked on and it pushed him to the point where he just... snapped. He yelled out a slew of profanity their way and while he was doing so, while he was raging, one of the white sheep's wool turned fire red, and of course, he didn't notice it.

ㅤHe was too blind. Blind to the rage.

ㅤBut this was his first instance of accidental magic, fuel by anger. Pent up rage. And he just had to let it out.

PERSONALITY

Image posted by the member
ㅤRemy was not put here on this Earth to make friends, he most certainly was not here to play nice. From a very young age, he learned that sometimes being blunt, confrontational and unapolgoetically self serving, was probably the best choice to surviving in a world where you feel alone even if you were not.

ㅤHe thrives on the friction of his interactions with other people, saying things to hurt them or to say what other people might be too polite to even say. And in a verbal altercation, he most definitely was not going to back down. He actively aims to try and find weak spots of his victims, trying to get a reaction out of them.
APPEARANCE

ㅤRemy is white, and has a swept light brown hair and almost always a smirk on his face. He is 6'7" (changes with age, refer to chart below) and he weighs just a bit more than the average 11 year old.

ㅤHis preferred choice of outfit is typically whatever he THINKS is intimidating but also is comfortable. This could include a greaser style outfit to the quidditch uniforms, but never the school uniform. Never the dorky outfits they would make them wear.

Backstory
Born July 15th 2014, the last of the legitimate children between George and his actual wife, Eleanor before she passed two years later. Even though his father would never talk about it, later in his life his brothers swore up and down that Lucifer was the only intended Break child as an attempt to wipe any history of cheating from George's past. Lucifer didn't remember his mom very well. He remembered a vague figure of a woman caring for him, but never anything specific.

For the majority of his childhood, he lived at the Break manor and would also be surrounded by boys, especially some that seem darker than the others. He wasn't very happy as a child. His dad was strict, acted like he was the man of the house, the war captain, whatever was in his controlling mindset.

It seemed like George expected a lot from Lucifer, perfection with every stroke of his pencil on the parchment, perfection with the words articulated from his mouth. It was like he didn't want to raise another child that couldn't live up to his standards again.

Lucifer wasn't soft, nor was he a nerd. He was sharp and observant, but he was also bottled up emotionally and when he had to be cruel, as kids can be, he did it for efficiency, not so much for fun.

He was taught at home by a hired private tutor. He was also very strict and required things to be done meticulously, to Lucifer's distaste. No pieces of paper were free from the crumpling of dissatisfaction and the binning.

Lucifer did have a bit of a life, yes. Every so often, his brothers would feel a bit of pity for him and play with him outside a bit- even teaching him how to use a broom. Of course, Lucifer was given the worst broom owned in the house that, for some reason, liked to misbehave and launch him into the manor. They would play rugby, which Lucifer greatly enjoyed, football and american football, as well as some other sports that seemed particularly muggle. They may have been a Pureblooded family, but at least they had muggle sport balls or materials for games that required running and shooting balls into hoops or goal posts. Otherwise, Lucifer was expected to just ride around on a broom and play tag or do his homework.

Fun was important. But so was making his dad happy.

First Instance of Magic
April 13th 2025, he got so mad with the hired tutor constantly throwing away his work and telling him it wasn't good enough, that he snapped and when he did so, the windows in that room shattered with his quill, which was in the near-empty inkwell, floating. Lucifer may have snapped, but his attention slowly turned towards the sound of glass breaking and clinking onto the ground, to the quill, and he murmured. What he was going to yell about slipped from his mind as he realized he did something. He might be a real part of the family, not a squib.

Personality
Lucifer was not soft, nor a nerd. He is sharp and observant. He is bottled up, emotionally, and he is cruel when necessary. Though, he does have a line. If you cross it, he's probably going to learn Flipendo just to flip you until you leave him alone. He was raised under pressure, and feels more compelled to do things the right way because of the conditioning his father and the tutor imposed on him. He is competent, but sometimes if someone crosses the line or he finally snaps, this competence may not be seen at all. He's not rebellious nor obedient either.

Appearance
Lucifer has a baby face, soft cheeks and jaws. His hair is a dark brown that can be interpreted as black depending on the lighting. He tries to keep his hair short and tidy because George likes to ensure that his sons seem presentable. If the hair grows out just a little, it's at the very most a little tousled, not wild.

Lucifer is also shorter than the average children his age, compact in his build but slightly athletic, one could just say 'simply a normal child with exercise'. He always tries to ensure that his clothes are neat, whether chosen by him or not, and doesn't bother to smile unless there's a reason.

Parseltongue (501/500)
Out back in the garden, way back when he was just a tad- a little- boy, he would sit and concentrate on the trees, on the dirt, write a few mathematical scenarios and answer them in the top soil and unearth a few buried seeds here and there. But that one pivotal moment that stopped him, and scared him so bad, from going out into the garden for the next week was due to a snake that slithered up behind him. He let out a bloodcurdling scream.

Before he ran inside, as he was getting up, he heard something that seemed fairly comprehensive, like he understood what was said. Something about 'don't be afraid'. Well, it'd be too late, because he ran inside. He didn't think too much about it, maybe it was a prank from his brothers.

Lucifer, as he got older, would slowly encounter more snakes and realize that what he heard was not what others heard. His family didn't hear the same things he did- like he understood the language- as they only heard hissing.

When he was nine, he realized this interest in snakes was starting to pick up, like it was a monumental moment that would mean something. He asked his dad, George, if he could get a pet snake. It would stay in a tank (75 gallon) in his room when Lucifer wasn't there, but if he was in the room, the snake could be free as long as the door was shut.

At that age, when he got his snake, a ball python, he would talk to it whenever he felt lonely, well. One day, Ozzy walked in with his girlfriend at the time and asked him why he was hissing. Lucifer didn't think he was hissing, he thought he was actually speaking in English. Odd. This question would be asked again by another brother then finally by the father. After those weird questions, Lucifer had wondered what was wrong with him.

George didn't bother to provide any sort of consolation, only handed him a book with family members in it, and pointed at one of the family's kept secret out of shame. Lucifer's Great Grandfather, Jefferson Barkley and Jefferson's son, George's father, Maddox Barkley, were Parseltongue, but at the time, they didn't understand why he was communicating with snakes, so they had isolated them and thought they were insane and unwell for the hallucinations, so when they were a child, they were forbidden from seeing snakes, talking to snakes, dreaming about snakes, whatever.

George would tell this story once and never repeat it again, but he was told this because he didn't want his son to think that he was pure rubbish and was somehow possessed or insane, because he wasn't. It was something even his brothers didn't know about until this genetic trait finally resurfaced after skipping George and his brothers.

It may be a feared trait, but it didn't seem to faze his family, it was.. just another day for them.

THE GRIMORE

ENTRY I: INTRO
You know, there once was a day that I would laugh at the concept of my older self attending any sort of magic academy, but now that I have been accepted into one, I just want to look back at younger me and just stick my tongue out at him to antagonize him.

They say that it's a magical experience, but it's really not. It feels like it's only there to enable the ulterior sadness within me. If I had a biological dad, which I do, why did he choose to abandon me? Why can I understand what the snakes say and communicate with them? Why does my own brother look back at me with repulsiveness, as if I had committed the greatest sin on Earth.

But no, I, Buck, am a very wonderful and talented boy who has every intention to find my father and get him to come back and be my own father, my real father, so I do not have to be with this imposter; George.

PERSONAL NOTE

Buck's author here. I am very busy, so unless I forget to reply to your thread in months, please understand that I have a lot going on. I likely will be on top of everything because that is who I am, and I have that capability, but just in case, I'd like you to be understanding.

Signed,
