Interacting with @Cassandra Ironwoods
The world she was in right now was dark, twisting, and full of sorrow but will eventually have a bright and happy ending. The main character in the book had been a brave and clever hero. He trudged on his mission with resolution fueled by love. She couldn't help the sigh escaping her lips at thinking of the horrors the hero is yet to face before his journey ends. At a turn of the page she gasped audibly at finding the hero in his most difficult challenge yet.
"I can't... I can't read anymore," she mumbled a little too dramatically. Her mother would be rolling her eyes at her if she could see her.
"Oh, Mystery Anne, you're too emotional sometimes," her mother would say. She could not quite tell if she it was some sort of compliment or not. But then, she would give her that smile that said there is no one in the world she loved most other than her.
Mystery Anne did close the book she was reading. She had been too caught up in her stories again. She had forgotten her watch so she did not know what time it was already. She looked at the other books on her table. Those were her textbooks she was supposed to start reading after one chapter of the novel. She picked up and tried to focus on her reading. She was successful on diverting her focus towards her lessons. Before she knew it, she was as lost in it as she had been on the other book.

Unexpected Encounter
@Mystery Anne Abbot
Cassie was bored in their dorm room, so they decided along side with some of their fellow Slytherins to make a bit ruckus in the Study Room. From the Dungeon up to where the Study Room located, they and their fellow housemates ready to annoyed whomever in that Room. One of them decided to open the door ungracefully, making a lot of noise.
Cassie raise one of their eyebrow and laugh. "Which one, hoss?"The red hair boy asked Cassie. Cassie scans the room and point at one single Gryffindor girl in the room that so deeply concentrated on her book. Then like a swarm of bees, the boys start tossing the ball back and forth that both of the boys bring stole from one of their roommates.
"Go long, Cash"One of the boys stated to Cassie. The boy tossed the ball away and Cassie run to catches the ball. Cassie turn their back so they can catch the ball perfectly. "Got it!"Cried the Slytherin girl and deliberately bump the chair where a Gryffindor girl seat at that Cassie now examines closely, the girl reading up some materials for her class.
"You can not tossed it a little further, Benson? My hips will be bruised with how hard I bumped that chair"Cassie claimed then tossed the ball back to the curly hair boy. "Do not be a wuss, Phoenix"Teased Benson. "It is Cassandra or Cash. Never ever again you called me that name, you got me?"Cassie stated with coldness and in threatening manner that make someone spines shivering if they heard it.

Unexpected Encounter
Noise. Feet shuffling behind her. Bump!
"Oof!" A breathe was forced out of her as her stomach made impact with the table. The push was not that hard but she was caught by surprise. The top book in the stack slid sideways before finally reaching the floor with a thud.
"This was supposed to be a study room, not a playground", Mystery Anne mumbled grumpily. With an exasperated sigh, she picked up the book that fell and looked towards the other students. Slytherin, of course. She rolled her eyes and faced the girl that bumped her. She knew them. They were her classmate. Though they haven't got the chance to be introduced or to interact. They clearly had a strong personality when you first saw them. Mystery Anne's first impression was to stay clear from them. They looked like they could walk all over you. Much like what her older cousins did to everyone that was younger than them.
"Do you mind? People are studying here. If you want to play your games, the grounds are wide enough," she said a little peeved that she didn't even apologize. She had not forgotten her first impression, but she was miffed. And sometimes, emotions take over everything and makes you do things you regret later.

Just like what Cassie had predicted. The girl turn around and look at Cassie dead in the eye, annoyed and it make them feel giddy inside. "Well, duh! I know the grounds are wide enough but where is the fun in that?"Cassie stated in condescending manner. Cassie know that whatever they will say it next, it will irked the girl more at them.
Benson and Prescott cackles with Cassie come back to the girl. "Why so serious, love?"Cassie know it is demeaning to said it like that to a fellow female but they have so much fun annoyed this girl. When Cassie see the girl face, Cassie seems remember she is one of Cassie classmate from one of the school subject.
Benson and Prescott walks toward Cassie and stands beside them. "What?got your tongue? No comeback? How sad"Cassie pouted in jeering manner and make the boys laugh some more. But when Prescott about to open his mouth, "Shut it!"Cassie orders to Prescott. Prescott pouted like an overgrown baby.
"You know what, I bet all you ever do is only study and study. There is no sense of adventure in you oh so chivalrous bone, Gryf"The way Cassie said Gryf with biting tone. They just want to see how far they can pushed the Gryffindor girl. Cassie sizes the girl up and down. They crosses both of their arms in front of their chest, waiting for the girl to responds to what they say and smirk.

She closed her eyes trying to calm herself. "Don't you go looking for fights there, pet. They're not worth it. Just enjoy your stay their and learn all you can," her father reminded her as they arrived at Platform 9 3/4. But she was not just a daughter of a Hufflepuff. She can be kind. But she was also the daughter of a Slytherin. And she was not afraid of them. Besides, having been declared by fate as a Gryffindor, there was that hidden courage and bravery waiting for the right moment to make an appearance. Now, understandably, this wasn't exactly a moment of courage or bravery. If she kept her cool, she'll find no trouble and her fellow classmates will probably just get bored and leave.
"You know what, I bet all you ever do is only study and study. There is no sense of adventure in you oh so chivalrous bone, Gryf!"
No they did not just say that. If there is one thing she won't back down, it would be an issued challenge. But she has to say a few more words before accepting it because she was getting real mad. "Yes, and so should you! You won't learn if you don't even study." She felt quite proud about it. She would later have to think if it was wise. "And we do have chivalry and adventure. That's what our house is! And what about you?! Do you only annoy people?" Maybe it was not wise to continue on speaking as she did. But the concept of regret was something she hasn't yet fully grasped.

When the Gryffindor girl spitted out her comeback, Cassie smiles from ear to ear. "Ohh the cat is ferocious"Cassie mocked applaud the gold and red clad girl. Benson and Prescott laugh. "Of course I study and excuse you, I am one of top student in my House"Cassie jabbed the girl and look at the Gryffindor with one eyebrow rise.
Who the hell she think she is, Cassie thought. "Our house is where people with ambition, cunningness and determine is born. Which by the sound of that way much better than yours"Cassie flicked the girl gold and red tie. "And for the annoying part; the way I see it, it is as my charming trait. Does not it boys?"Cassie inquires their pursuivants.
Benson and Prescott nodded their head. "Alright then if you say you have an adventure in your bone, prove it"Cassie steps into the Gryffindor personal space. Challenging her and smile mischievously. "Just name the place and the time, I will be there. In one condition, I go alone and you do too. How 'bout it, kitten?"Cassie mocked the girl.
"Let's make this more interesting. If you won, you have the bragging right to slammed down my House. But if I won, I can do anything to you. Deal?"Cassie sticked out their hand for the girl to shake. Their green eyes bore into the Gryffindor girl. Cassie hoping the girl back down from the challenge.

"Fine!" Mystery Anne glared at Cassandra and their friends. She was aggravated so that little voice inside her head telling her it was foolish to accept the challenge was entirely disregarded. Her heart was thumping a little louder than usual and she was not at all sure whether it was because of excitement or nervousness. Maybe it was both. After all, Mystery Anne was not used to daring acts that could get her into trouble. She limited her courage to raising her hands during class and daring to talk to anyone whom she didn't know.
She doesn't really care about the bragging rights thing. She just accepted because it was a dare. She may yet regret her decision, but at the moment she was doing it. And to make matters worse, without thinking it through she yells, "Forbidden Forest!" It was too late to take back. Maybe Cassandra will be too afraid and issue another challenge? Maybe she could bluff her way through this? She doubted it, considering the look of their face. "Yeah, Forbidden Forest but only before the curfew. I'm not stupid enough to get myself expelled." She warned and hoped her condition couldn't be seen as an act of cowardness. She can and will be brave enough to accept whatever challenge is given to her, but not at the cost of an expulsion. She can't imagine what her parents would do then if she did. Besides, it meant that they didn't have to stay long inside the dark forest. Hadn't she heard one say there were wolves in there? Maybe it was a joke? Meant to scare first years students like her from going on an adventure inside it. She hoped that if they actually do it, somebody could stop them. At least then, she won't have to back out. She won't look like a coward.
"So, is it a yes?"

The more Cassie and their friends annoyed Mystery, the more she get agitated and that's make Cassie feel giddy inside. And when she shouted fine and she get aggravated by Cassie antics, the more they want to annoyed the Gryffindor girl. "Forbidden Forest, it is then"Cassie nodded their head.
Cassie never been into the forest and what both of the girls will encounter it will be fun or it is what Cassie hoped for. Cassie heard the rumor that in the forest there is a lot of creatures unknown. Whether it is a good or bad kind. Whatever it is, they will tackle it with dignity and grace.
There is no way they back down from it since they are the one that suggested it. "After or before curfew works for me"Cassie said to the Mystery. Cassie did not mind when they will do the dare. Breaking rules is what they want although if they get caught the severe punishment is expulsion and maybe just maybe if their father know it, he will get angry.
When their father get angry, means at least Cassie got his attention. It is messed up for whomever know the dynamics between Cassie and their father, but at least Cassie know that their father still love them in his own messed up way. "It is definitely a yes"The Slytherin girl stated with a firm tone.
"Do not you back out on this, Gryf"Cassie take a small pace into Mystery's personal space and laughs. Like a parrot Benson and Prescott laughing too.

Mystery Anne was not surprised the other girl just accepted it like it was just another homework. She even looked like she was enjoying herself at Mystery Anne's expense. Well, that was not what she intended. She wanted to see if they could be afraid considering it was the Forbidden Forest they were talking about. Monsters! Big creepy trees! There might even be huge spiders in there! And where will they go? Take maybe ten steps inside? Would that count? If they stayed at the borders where they still have a view of the castle, will that suffice and satisfy them? Mystery Anne regarded the other student and sighed inwardly. No, she doesn't think they would be satisfied with that. They'll probably tell her she's a wuss and wanted out on the dare. And it'll be just the two of them. Why can't their friends come? The more the merrier, right? She hadn't thought this through. She was being reckless again.
At least, she agreed to do it before the curfew. She had been nervous because what if, she decided to it after the curfew? What then? She can't possibly agree to it. She'll be called a coward. A coward! She's a Gryffindor! She was no coward. But she does want to follow the rules. And she doesn't want to get expelled. It was certainly a dilemma for the young witch.
The nerve of the Slytherin student to tell her that she shouldn't back out. Hadn't she chosen their location? Surely, choosing the Forbidden Forest merited a badge of courage on its own. Discounting, of course, her earlier reservation on their choice of dare. She dare not answer them though. She'd learned her lesson with them. She must keep quiet and store up the courage until their meeting in the Forbidden Forest.
