Courtyard, Hogwarts.
At this point, there was not much Jessamine aspired to other than being someone the students could rely on. There were still three months before the summer holidays, and that meant that each of these children were essentially her own. That meant that, when a kind student informed her there'd been a note left for her in the Courtyard, having brought it all the way up the stairs, she immediately read it. It took some effort, given that the handwriting was not exactly the best. She did recognise the name, though: Arianna Vanes, a third-year student. She didn't know the girl very well, but she'd made an effort to memorise names. That the girl had dropped the note outside of Ravenclaw Tower surprised her, though; had she not been able to get inside? Surely a fellow student would have helped her with the entry riddle if it was too difficult.
Usually, she would have offered her own office as a meeting spot. After all, it had the comforts of a predictable climate, music and tea. But the girl had stated she was – would be? – in the courtyard, which was not altogether an awful place to meet. With a small sigh, Jessamine shrugged on her coat and made her way all the way back down the stairs, glad to at least be headed downwards this time. When she shouldered open the large doors heading to the Courtyard, she gave the overcast sky a quick, furtive glance (would it rain?), and, upon ascertaining that she did not yet require an umbrella, headed out.
Jessamine wasn't the best at observation (that, or she was humble, who knew), but she considered herself not to be oblivious. She scanned the Courtyard, expecting even a hint of a student's hair to peek out, or otherwise to hear something. However, there was nothing, at least not at first glance. Jessamine pursed her lips and looked both ways once again, then uttering a small, almost disappointed sigh. Was this like the adult version of knock-a-door, run?
She suppressed the urge to roll her eyes, instead slipping her hands into her warm pockets and listening to the peaceful sound of the fountain. She'd always loved this place when she was younger.
Content, she turned, ready to leave...
