Summer Camp Unofficial Broom Racing Match OPEN

This is a thread and papertrail for an unofficial broom racing match hosted during summer camp by @Denise Yarbrough.

Rules

iNPC's are allowed! This is a great way for an iNPC if they are not in a sport or in a waitlist to develop an experience or interest for the sport.
Those with sport commitments in their iNPC's would be placed on a waitlist if there are too many participants. I would prefer if your captains don't send angry owls if you choose to be unresponsive during iNPC matches during the summer and choose to also register for this opportunity.
PC's are allowed too! Keep in mind if you want to register both your PC and iNPC, you will have to be in the same team to ensure fairness and I might have to cut your PC or iNPC off in order to meet equal stats and number of players on both teams.
In addition, if there are too many members, those in a broom racing team or with official experience (unofficial matches do not count) might be cut if there are too many participant (both PC and iNPC).
Date is TBD since summer camp dates are not yet determined but it would not be during the full moon, so werewolves are also welcome!
Borrowing brooms is also allowed and does not need to be the player's trunk as long as it is stated that it is borrowed from someone else's trunk. This also includes objects such as a compass.

Additional Information: If you wanted to sign up, don't worry! Once summer camp begins, I will confirm with everyone on the list that they still want to participate, since I know that availability might change.

In addition, since this is unofficial, I will be placing a round limit as well for our sanity! I'm still deciding a lot of things, but you will receive more information once summer camp starts! I appreciate your patience.

Hey everyone,

I am here to talk about a few clarifications.

1. This unofficial BR match would use your stats and abilities as of your current graduating year (2026-27) since this is taking place during summer camp. Therefore, updating your abilities and stats is highly suggested.

2. This is also an open trunk match. This means you are allowed to buy or get spells during the match and still be able to use them. This is because this is during summer camp, and it's not fair to expect everyone to have the time and commitment to do their homework since everyone has just graduated. However, if you choose to update your stats or add an ability during the match, please owl me since I likely would not notice and might use your old stats and abilities.

I'm excited to moderate this match. If you are no longer interested or have no time, please email me. Otherwise, I'm assuming you are still interested.
