@Percival Rainwood @Althea Valeden @Hanako Tone

As her wand illuminated, a low buzzing sound sent a chill down her spine. She would whip her head around to Althea and Percival.

"What the hell was that?" Kara said, the eerie humming sound still ringing in ears.

Kara moved her wand around slightly, wanting to see if there was anything she could spot, trying to find the spawn point of the sound. Her body was trembling gently, with her eyes batting around.

She would then see a large, bee like thing with two stingers now buzzing around, some even stinging people. She would clasp her free hand over her mouth to stop herself from gasping in fear.

She watched, her feet almost glued to the ground. Kara then looked as one of the bee, wasp, whatever the things were, would go in the way that Hanako had gone.

"Oh no..Hanako went that way!" She said, cursing under her breath.

And almost on queue, she heard a familiar scream, the wasp-looking double stingered monster had found it's way to Hanako. She immediately felt Percival grab her hand and then run off with her, and she followed, letting her heels kick off behind her.

[If they find Hanako]
"Percival! Did you find Hanako?" She yelled as she ran over to the blonde haired boy.

The boy running over to Hanako and then grabbing him had given Kara her answer.

[If they successfully hide under the table.]

She gasped for air, then looked at Hanako, he was probably scared from the whole experience. Kara looked at her dress, as she had slid under the table, it had gotten caught on something and tore, so Kara just ripped the rest of the rim off, half of her calves now showing.

"What the hell Hanako! You could've gotten seriously hurt! Don't ever run off like that again! I don't care if you didn't know these double stingered monster were here, just don't scare me like that!" She whispered rashly, her eyes welling up with tears.

She rarely cursed, only when she was mad or scared. Kara hugged Hanako tightly, soft sobs escaping her lips. She was upset, she didn't care if Hanako didn't like hugs, she was scared out of her mind.
Action: First getting grabbed by Percival to go and find Hanako, then hiding under a table with her wand still illuminated. Hopefully she wouldn't get hurt, but if she does, it won't be pretty.

The pair of would be dancers were swiftly joined by two others seeking to add to this cocktail of red and blue. AJ's flare seemed to go off without a hitch and was soon joined by a few others. "Hoopfulleh one o' tha prufusser's sees tha." He mused, keeping his wand drawn as it seems their troubles were not over that easily. At least there was some light...literally...to the situation now. "Grus an'...ehm, sorreh yer neem's nae comin' meh way." He apologised to the boy, he felt like he had seen him before, but the face being illuminated only by Lumos didn't exactly aid in the game of recognition. "Cheers fer tha leeght. Uf thus wes wha' tha' wunter bull wes leek am elmost dussupunted ah didnae come." He joked, hoping to bring everyone's mood up a bit.

Lark seemed about ready to crack a joke of her own before being interrupted by the sound of screaming over the way. One of the girl's seemed to have contracted a bad case of 'being on fire' which would need to be immediately remedied, and Lark clearly saw that, unperturbed by the endless buzzing around them the Scotsman followed the Irish lass towards the flame, hoping their lights would stick with them for this. He held his wand steady ready to send any beastie that came their way packing.

He took a brief look around to survey the chaos, and despite the already existing mishap with the use of fire it seemed the solution of the Hogwarts students was in fact to add more fire. Irritated, the boy yelled at the top of his lungs "FER THA LOVE UF GOD, BEERNUN DOON THA PUTCH SHEDNAE BE PLAN A!" His point made to anyone who would listen, he put himself back on guard duty, protecting his date as she did her thing.

Percival stood with Althea and Kara. He was glad that Kara had thought ahead and provided the group with a small bit of light. The light honestly helped melt away some of his fears. Percival glanced towards the girl acting as their flashlight. The boy was still confused by what Althea had said about a girlfriend. As far as he knew, Hanako thought of Kara as a friend.

Percival glanced toward Althea as she spoke up. While he was grateful she was trying to calm his fears about Hanako. He couldn't help but feel restless as he glanced around trying to locate Hanako.

Hanako, his friend, was somewhere out there. He didn't know the exact location of his friend. Though he did know the relative direction the boy had wandered off to.

Percival's head whipped to his left as he heard a scream. In a way, it sounded almost like Hanako though it was hard to tell. His gaze looked to Kara as she moved her wand slightly. "God your right." he gulped realizing that their friend was in danger.

Percival grabbed onto Kara's hand as he did not want to walk into the dark alone. The thought of letting his only light source walkway was enough to get Percival to go with her. Percival quickly walked slightly in front of Kara. Just in case, they ran into any obstacles in the dark.

It was difficult to run only being able to see in front of you a little ways. Especially, since the pair were heading towards the darker part of the Ball.

[If they find Hanako]

Percival gasped as he saw the familiar form of his dormmate, Hanako Tone. The boy looked scared beyond belief and was staring up at a rather large looking bug. The sight of the creature was enough to make Percival think of getting therapy.

"Hana!" he called using his friend's nickname instead of his traditional name. The bug was dangerously close and it seemed like it was trying to attack his friend.

[If Percival is able to successfully drag Hana]

The pair were coming up onto the side of Hanako, and Percival reached out to grasp his friend's left arm.

With a hard tug, the boy pulled him and Hanako in the opposite direction of the bug. Percival kept his hand interlaced with Kara's not wanting to lose her.

"Don't let your wand drop Kara!" he said as he desperately tried to run away from the bug.

[If Percival is able to successfully slide under the table]

Up ahead, one of the now-empty tables sat. The place looked like a good place to catch their breath and figure out an actual plan. Percival decided to slide the last couple of feet under the table. The little stunt was similar to a slide tackle that he would sometimes use during soccer. The movement would drag Hanako down underneath the table, and the boy hoped the other wouldn't hit his head.

With his dress pants and shirt now ruined, Percival looked around wildly trying to make sure everyone had made it to the table.

Oliver arrived by Erin's side finally, the pushing and shoving going on by panicking students easily nudged the weak boy about. He held onto the table next to his friend and was wincing to try make out the figure next to Erin... disappointingly Jack. Had Erin not singed this leech off already? It did not matter now, something sinister was clearly approaching, darkness always meant evil. At least in the stories it did.

"Oliver. Oliver! Get outta here! Just get outta here before you get hurt!"

Oliver shook his head,"Come with me! Let's broom it!" Oliver told, having seen Erin carrying her broom when they were in the light of the changing rooms. It was then he saw the mosps enter the area and the buzzing sound that he heard earlier begun to make sense in his head. From their faint glow he could see silhouettes of ginormous stingers, ones that could easily be fatal if taken to the torso or head. The boy let out a whining sound, he hated bugs. He really wanted to leave. "Erin, seriously! Let's go!"

He glanced to his left to see that kid Thomas returning with a drop kick. It was here that Oliver figured why Erin was not leaving now. She always had to finish a fight. Pulling his wand, Oliver was about to unleash a spell but Jack threw himself in between them, blocking Oliver's line of sight with Thomas but also casting a much needed spell. Perhaps the kid wasn't such a burden after all? Oliver begun to move in around to circle Thomas, only to see a wand lighting up from the corner of his eye.

"Immobulus!"

Turning towards the source, Oliver could see a stranger aiming straight at Erin. Bounding forward, Oliver raised his wand and swung it vertically, yelling "PROTEGO!" as he cast the shield charm before Erin. If at all possible, Oliver would aim to deflect the spell back at Ruka. He stood firmly guarding Erin, prepared to unleash a volley of his own attacks.

Oswald stood up and tried to carefully free himself from Dan's tight grip. He grabbed his hands softly. "I... Dan that would be really nice but... I think we should talk about that another time." He then grabbed his plate and glass from the table. "I am sorry Dan, but I think I will go to my dorm and chill there. Maybe we can discuss all the stuff tomorrow? I... suits and all this stuff kinda just sicken me right now." He gave Dan a kiss on his cheek and made his way out of the Arena.

Oswald decided that he did not feel like partying today. Especially in an environment full of formal clothed people. It reminded him of his mother's funeral. No, he would not be there and have fun with his fellow students. A quite and peaceful evening without any other person sounded lile the exactly right thing for him. He was sure that he would make Dan sad with this decision but hoped that he would understand it.

Before Calanthe could roll her eyes at Mosquito’s enunciation of Lumos, she was yanked from her position on the pitch. Her dirty sneakers smashed through the food on the ground, staining them further. She felt the urge to pull back her hand from the boy’s grip and wipe her heels against the grass, but the situation overwhelmed her. The buzzing, the darkness, the feeling of dread bubbling in her stomach once more. If she stopped now, there way no way she could fight off a breakdown. So Calanthe set her brain on autopilot, allowing Mosquito to drag her across the pitch.

Just barely registering Mosquito’s rambling, the pair stopped in front of the rack of school brooms. Calanthe stood back, allowing the boy to sort through the brooms and grab one to his liking. She did not respond to him out of fear that vomit would come raining out of her mouth – or something worse. Stifling any fear of height, she followed his lead and hopped onto the broom behind him. Calanthe had never gotten more than a foot off the ground in Flying classes, but Mosquito seemed to know what he was doing. She wrapped her fingers on the sleeves of his blue suit and hooked her heels together as they levitated off the ground and into the air.

Mosquito’s ‘joke’ caused Calanthe to release her left hand from his sleeve and smack him across the back. She still couldn’t open her mouth, though, for the anxious feeling was rearing its ugly head tonight. As if in symphony with the distant buzz, her anxiety increased as the noise did, both reaching its zenith before the pair were even a couple inches off the ground. Returning her hand to Mosquito’s sleeve, Calanthe’s head rotated in every direction, hunting for the source of the noise. As they rose into the cool night sky, lights flared up from the pitch.

Thank Pelor.

It did little to help her vision – casting Lumos herself would have been ideal – but it was better than nothing. Two showers shot up into the air in red and green. The colours swirled together spectacularly, entrancing the young witch for just a moment.

What… are those spells again? Verdi…? Pericular…? What do they do? Get help? Yes, that’s it!

Proud of herself for remembering some aspect from her classes, Calanthe was not prepared for what came next.

What the feck?

Enlarged wasp-like creatures began swarming the pitch. They were nothing like what Calanthe had seen before. Even when she flipped through her textbooks secretly, she never came across animals – creatures? – like this. As fast as they entered her sight, they left, disappearing into the darkness below, only making reappearances in the globes of Lumos. Looking directly down, Calanthe could spot one flitting around the entrance to the pitch, near the area where she got her boutonniere.

The boutonniere! Wasps – if I can even call these things wasps – like flowers, right?

Reaching for the boutonniere that had gotten caught on her sweater during the whole food fiasco, Calanthe eyed the single creature in the air. Hoping Mosquito had the smarts to maneuver the broom away from the creature stealthily, she slowly stretched her hand out and let go of the boutonniere. She watched as the thing was swallowed by the shadows, hoping that now nothing on her and Mosquito would be able to attract the creatures.

Do wasps like sweets?

The frosting stain on the front of her sweater was painfully obvious to her in the moment. Sliding just a bit close to Mosquito on the broom, she leaned forward, pressing the area with the stain against Mosquito’s back in attempt to hide it from the creature in the air. Squeezing Mosquito’s arms through his sleeves, she released a ragged breath as the feeling in her body escalated to head-pounding levels. Her next words were whispered.

“Go – go fast. No! Slow… stealth. Be stealthy. Get. Us. Out. Of. Here.”

Interacting with : @Lizzie Verdine | Mentioning : Blake Bayne, May, Emery (Emory, Cassie can not seems to remembered the girl name) and bunch of people in the main arena.
When Cassie arrived at the ball, the party already full swing. Lizzie was waited for them at the entrance of the ball and all still fine. Lizzie and themselves saw Blake with his date having a good time and a Slytherin girl that approcached Cassie and Lizzie. The girl approached both Lizzie and Cassie complementing their dresses. Cassie done the same to the girl.

All was fine until all hell break loose. The invasion of Mosps that nobody saw it coming. Then all become chaos and panic. Some kids kick down the chairs and tables (or is it the furnitures turned upside down because of the chaos and the panicking?). All the fighting and screaming between the student bodies on each other throats or between the Mosps itself and the student bodies, Cassie feel frightens.

Cassie rarely feel frighten. Never before they feel something like this. School supposed to be safe, right? but not at Hogwarts. First there was an attack of Black Shadow Spider in the Slytherin Common Room when Cassie just arrived at the very first day (or week) in this school. Then the Hufflepuff fire and now this.

The invasion of Mosps. The horde of Mosps and their buzzing wings make all the emotion heighten up. It was all messed up and they all in some kind of horror movie. But some of the students still try to keep their heads cool. Cassie could hear some people casted Lumos here and there when the light was out.

There is a glimmer of hope that maybe just maybe all the student that in this arena will come out no harm. Why can not all the students in here have a quiet and peaceful normal life for once? Then suddenly Lizzie stood up from where Cassie, her, Blake, May, and Emery (or is it Emory, Cassie can not seems to remembered the girl name) seated.

"What the hell, Liz?!"Cassie shouted at Lizzie in the middle of the chaos. They can not believed Lizzie left them and her friends behind. Cassie can not see where Lizzie went. Cassie heard a clanging sound here and there. It looks like some cups had been thrown and other things too. It is a fight or flight situation for Cassie.

If Cassie has high sense of solidarity, they will stand up and fight the Mosps along side their peers. But in this case, Cassie will try to flee from the scene and went to another secure area. Right now it is the most logic action and a wise one to do. So with new sense of bravery, Cassie get up from where they are and run like a mad woman toward the exit.
Action : Try to evade the Mosps and leaving the ball.

As Rafael was drawn to a suddenly ignited flame on another student, Vladimir’s attention finally fell on Flash and Willow. Willow seemed secure enough to ask Flash to protect the bag and start using her wand on the creatures buzzing around their midst. Perhaps she didn’t even notice the approach of the trenchcoated teenager, Opeila’s fingers tightly clutching his sleeve in a futile attempt to stop his progress.

Flash was already ready to endure whatever befell him, but he would die before he let something happen to Willow. Opeila too, for that matter. At least Vladimir didn’t know that, or he could have very easily used it against him. What Vladimir also didn’t know was that Flash wasn’t convinced he was bad. He couldn’t say the same for Selim, whose silent footsteps and dark clothing made his approach almost imperceptible.

Selim talked quietly, difficult to make out over the sounds of buzzing and screaming around them, asking politely if he could check the contents of the bag. It was an extremely tempting offer, in no small part due to Burnett’s trust in him. He didn’t know Selim personally, besides what he had seen of him in their dorm room, but he had come to the ball with Thomas Lestrange. Was it Thomas’ mission that he was trying to scout for? If that was the case, Flash had no reason to trust it, or trust that Selim’s trust in him wasn’t misplaced. Even if Selim believed his actions wouldn’t negatively impact either of them, wasn’t it possible that he didn’t know any better?

How was Flash supposed to ask questions and study the answers in the middle of a crisis? Was he really supposed to make rash snap judgements and live with the consequences? Opeila’s eyes were screaming for Flash to pick up the bag and run, but Flash’s heart wouldn’t let him. It wouldn’t let him potentially put Selim in harm’s way either. For all both of them knew, Thomas was more of a threat than Vladimir was. If only Flash could read minds, things would be so much easier.

”Selim… I won't stop you.” Flash’s voice stayed unmasked and tense.

Then, Vladimir was there. Saying something about Willow, he assumed, though he wasn’t sure what his point was. He made a move to kick Willow out of the way, but Flash’s embrace of her made it easy to put himself in harm’s way instead. Whether or not Vladimir’s kick landed, Flash still wanted to talk. What was the chance that it wasn’t too late, that words would still be useful at that point? Small, infinitesimal. Still, it was all Flash had.

”What are you getting at?” Flash’s eyes were on Vladimir, uncharacteristically angry. ”You don’t want to hurt anyone here, do you?”

Flash didn’t have a favorable position. Ideally, he would know exactly what Vladimir’s motivation was before he confronted him, but it was his body standing over his bag, whether it was due to Rafael and Willow’s strange plan or not. His role as a quiet observer was forcefully ended.

”Aren’t you just a student? Aren’t you a victim, a hostage?” Flash barely knew what he was saying before it came out of his mouth. All the fears he had that they were hounding the wrong person. ”Why then?”

Open-ended, no reason to be listened to or answered. Why indeed.

This is stupid. Jorah stared back at his reflection in the bathroom mirror. I don't even have something nice to wear. For the first time since orientation, Jorah fastened the top bottom of his dress shirt and tightened his Ravenclaw tie. It felt like a very weak House-elf was choking him, he hated it. Since his dress robes were destroyed in the last dance, his school robes would have to do. Beats a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, I guess. He looked alright but he wasn't sure he was ready for this. Not another ball, not after what happened last time. Looking down he noticed a slight tremor in his right hand. He made a fist and shut his eyes. In the darkness he saw faint shadows of the past; fire, students running in panic, towering giants, blood, pain. Focus! Jorah ran some cool water from the faucet and splashed it on his face. I cant keep him waiting forever. Jorah combed his hair and made his way to the dance.

The dance was a secret, but no one would suspect a Quidditch player dressed in his school uniform walking to the Quidditch pitch. Just a perfectly normal boy going for walk, nothing to see here, what secret, there's no secret. Jorah wouldn't even be going to this ball if Jack hadn't reached out. He didn't know the Hufflepuff well, but then again Jorah didn't know anyone well. He needed friends and going to the ball with Jack felt like he could knock out two birds with one stone. He could make a new buddy while confronting his fears st the same time. If Jorah was going to last at this school, he needed to overcome what happened at the Masquerade ball. So the boy continued on, crossing the bridge and making his way to the pitch. Ha, looks like they have fireworks. Whose bright idea was it to bring fireworks to a secret ball. Wait... those are flares! Damnit, what is it this time? Jorah ran as fast as his legs would take him.

He made it, collapsing against the entrance to the pitch. His lungs were on fire, cardio was not Jorah's friend, but the boy had no chance to catch his breathe. Chaos was erupting all around him. What's going on! Students were screaming, so many lumos spells were flashing, and something he hadn't seen before. What are those! Giant...insects, why are giant things always attacking our dances! Jorah needed to find his date. "Jack!!! Jack!!! Where are you! I'm not letting this friendship ends before it begins!"

As the Gryffindor boarded behind him, a familiar feeling as the weight of his Silver Arrow shifted, he gave one last nod the Miss Asterion, whom he'd been introduced to in the flurry of new faces which appeared. He really had no interest in the others whom approached them, paying no mind to the back and fourth which occured, and as the mosps (right, the mosps, he should note, which were now descending chaos upon the students) continued to make way.

It was, for all intents and purposes, utter chaos. He really wished he hadn't come now. He really should have just gone flying, without all this. On one hand, adventure was calling his name- but on the other, adventure's calls were making his headache worse.

"Come on, we can get a better vantage point from the sky." He determined, pushing off the ground with a high-speed. A lot of students had cast lumos, dotting the field with some light, as the screaming and kicking and bug-fighting continued. Honestly, and he'd hate to admit it out loud, seeing a bunch of (attempted) well-dressed children acting like adults while large bug monsters rained from the sky, and began attacking them, was somewhat amusing. There was almost a satire image in his head, though he kept it to himself, and pulled them up into the air of the pitch.

The travel from the ground to the air felt almost instantaneous on the broom, and he kept it clutched as he turned over his shoulder to check on Eve, who was sitting behind him still. "We really ought to stop meeting like this." He commented, trying to lift her spirits a little. "But I reckon you did ask for a flight,"

Before he could say much else, another voice caught his attention, one he could vaguely recognise, it was one of the first years on the Quidditch team, Marchonné, if he recalled. "Alley Oop! Alley Oop!" Oh lord, he wanted them to fling him. That was cute. (By "cute" he meant, he had to hold himself from an eyestrain as he whisked over- but he was small, it could probably work with enough momentum, he supposed.)
"Alley Oop? Alright, I guess we can try, you'd better get some help for these kids, they need an adult-" His eyes fell back to the crowd below them, screaming and running around. "Hold on tight." he then commanded, to both Marchonné, and Decipio in tow.

With the remanuvering of his hands, he grabbed onto the first year's hands and began to spin him around with as much force as he could, the Silver Arrow pushing as the force pull him both in and out of the center of balance, before releasing the boy towards the castle with a loud "GO!" as he did, launching the boy towards the castle.
