Goblet of Sprite Cranberry
Please wait for @Calypso Aretez. Backdate October 2019.
Ersa lingered in the Small Hall, standing near the door that led to the Great Hall. She wore her regular uniform since it was school hours, but hidden in the pocket of her sweater was a tiny can of Sprite. The soda, now flat and probably to some degree of tasteless, brushed her fingers as she wondered whether she should really attempt to drink it in public. Ersa wasn't too familiar with the rules, only enough to not get her in trouble on a daily basis, so she wasn't sure if muggle drinks like carbonated, flavored water was out of the question.
She usually wouldn't have dated something like this if it weren't for the fact that she had gotten the beverage from her cousin Edvard Murtaugh, who attended Durmstrang in Bulgaria. They always liked to dare each other to do things, especially because they were some of the most introverted in their families. They tried to push their luck, their will, their sanity just for the fun of it, all with an abyss worth of insecurities linger nearby.
Since she was starting to get too many looks for just standing their, Ersa moved along, stepping into the Great Hall. She unhurriedly made her way over to the Slytherin table, blending in smoothly with the rest of her housemates. It was dinner time, perfect for the usually cool and refreshing taste of a Sprite, excepts hers was flat and a little warm from resting so close to her body.
Nothing seemed unusually about her except that, if one happened to be looking extra closely, there was a small but noticable budge near her abdomen. Ersa made sure to keep close to the table in order to hide it and began picking out her dinner.
She left the goblet empty and grabbed a large roasted chicken leg, a mound of rice covered in her favorite, sliced mushrooms with gravy, and some greens on the side. It all smelled delicious, especially with the fact that cranberry tarts lay nearby, but the only cranberry Ersa was thinking about was the Sprite right now.
After taking a few nonchalant bites, Ersa carefully slid the can from her pocket. She fingered the latch at the top and winched when it made a hissing noise but coughed into her fist to cover the sound. She jiggled the contents a little to judge how much was inside before grabbing her goblet.
Underneath the table she began pouring the drink into the goblet, making sure not to spill any or make too much noise. When she was finished she out the now empty can back into her sweater's pocket. She held up the goblet to sniff it, noticing a faint cranberry smell, and grinned a little before tasting a sip.
She gagged instantly, causing the drink to spray from her nose onto the table and onto whoever was unfortunate to sit across from her. Ersa covered her nose with a pained expression, what remained of the bubbliness stinging her nostrils. She coughed and gagged again before managing an apology to the poor victim, and whoever else lay witness. Meanwhile she cursed her cousin in her head, knowing that he had tampered with it, the imbecile.

Goblet of Sprite Cranberry
As Callie dragged herself over to the Great Hall, she couldn't help but yawn a few times. The day had definitely been tiring, full of shouting, writing, and a few explosions here and there.
She walked down the slim space between the tables. The hall always gave off a different vibe to Callie during dinner, though she couldn't exactly explain it. It just seemed different, more serious. She plopped herself down at the Slytherin table. Kids were already eating, chatting, or simply just sitting there. She didn't have much of an appetite. Even for how long she had been at Hogwarts, she was still very uncomfortable with the amount of people around her as she ate. She looked upon the bowl of broth in front of her, staring glumly. She was about to take a sip from her spoon before a loud, ugly spraying noise came from beside her.
She whipped her head around so quickly, her two pigtails slapped her in the face. Ow, she thought to herself. She laid her eyes on the situation. In front of her sat a boy/girl, who had a disgusted, surprised look on their face, and were drenched in a clear, bubbling liquid. She looked at them, disgusted. Did they spit everywhere? Where did it come from? It wasn't until she followed the person's gaze it made sense, the girl beside her was covering her nose in embarrassment and pain, and it became obvious what happened. Callie couldn't help but gag at the thought of it. She was supposed to laugh a bit at these kind of things, but whenever she saw a situation like that, she could only feel pity and pain.
She scrambled to grab a tissue for the girl/boy and the girl. She handed one to the girl/boy across from her. The other girl still seemed distracted about something, so Callie tapped her shoulder.
"Hey, um, here's a tissue," she offered.Mentions: @Ersa Murtaugh

"Hey, um, here's a tissue."
She snapped out of her thoughts and looked around. She had only daydreamed for like two seconds and some girl was passing around napkins like health worker during a crisis. Ersa moved to take the tissue in a thankful manner, not thinking much of it, but then she remembered that she actually felt embarrassed, having sprayed soda all over a fellow Slytherin.
Her face blanched but Ersa calmly took the tissue, muttering a thanks. She should've known that he'd messed with it, even though he hadn't done anything like that before, or at least not with 'gifts'. But how she had to pay with being the laughingstock for the moment. Some students were tittering nearby but most of them just shrugged and looked away. Ersa felt a little at easy but she swore that she could feel her Ravenclaw brother Cillian glaring at her from his table. She didn't dare look around.
Ersa glanced at the girl next to her, who'd been kind. Not that it was unusually or anything, it's just that she was now in a bad mood. She took the soda can from her pocket, meaning to throw it into a nearby trashcan, but forgot that this wasn't her school back home, where they had such things around. The can would most likely disappear along with the plates and leftover food when everyone was done. Ersa reluctantly placed the can on top of the table, trying to hide the Sprite logo behind a huge plate of chicken thighs.
She started eating her food but then remembered the girl. She don't know why but she really wanted to ask her a weird question. "Hey, have you ever heard of a Sprite?" She could've asked her anything but she decided on that. At least she didn't feel to awkward about it.

Callie smiled at the girl. She seemed in a bad mood because of what happened, and Callie wanted to make her feel a bit better. "No problem."
She sighed, and turned back to her food. She felt bad for the girl, it was one of those situations when you saw somebody and didn't want to be them. Like when her brother got in big trouble (which was rare), but she actually felt happy when that happened.
She was about to forget about the situation when she heard the girl speak, and she was pretty sure it was directed to her. She turned around to face the girl.
"Yeah, I've heard of it before." It was one of the things her mum rambled on about being a part of her childhood, how it was more simple and easier to drink that wizard beverages. Callie shivered at the memories of sitting on her couch for another 1 hour muggle life lesson.
"It's a muggle beverage, it's fizzy. I'm not a big fan of fizzy stuff. But it tastes good, my mum brought some home from the store once. And they, come in different flavors, right?" she asked the girl. She seemed to know about it. She was the one who asked. Was the fizzy liquid she spit out sprite? Callie thought it was snot. "Was that stuff sprite?" she decided to as the girl.Mentions: @Ersa Murtaugh

The girl turned to face her. "Yeah, I've heard of it before." Ersa nodded in appreciation; she didn't know many Slytherins who cared for such things. But after all, muggles and wizards all lived in the same world. "It's a muggle beverage, it's fizzy. I'm not a big fan of fizzy stuff. But it tastes good, my mum brought some home from the store once. And they, come in different flavors, right?" She thought for a moment. "Was that stuff sprite?"
"Right. My favorite isn't Sprite Cranberry, if it wasn't obvious...," she admitted, grimacing at some of the stickiness that remained. "And I prefer when it's not flat. I like the original. The originals of things are usually better."
It was true in Ersa's case. She liked the first version of things she tried and rarely deviated from them. While her family, specifically her father, loved to try many delicacies of all different varieties Ersa preferred to stick with what she was used to. She leashed onto what's familiar and what she's used to, like it's the only thing that will keep her from flying away.
She suddenly became curious, realizing fully what the girl had said. She said that she knew of Sprite, which meant she must know about muggle life and what kind of things they did. Was she a Muggle-Born? Or was her family just not as arrogant and conceited any many of the current Slytherin's kin? Probably not, she seemed only to know of it slightly... but still...
"So," she began, after swallowing a few spoonfuls of rice and meat. "What else, then, do you know of muggles stuff? I only know of their sodas and candies, inherently. Me and my cousin only care for those."

She looked down. She didn't like speaking about her muggle heritage. Especially around most Slytherins, since they believed they were better than muggles. The girl didn't seem so bad though. She seemed nice and innocent, and she seemed aware of muggle items. Perhaps she was a muggle-born, or maybe a half-blood? Perhaps even a wizard born like her.
"Well you see, my mother was a muggle-born," she explained. "She always lectures me about muggle things. When my father and her were first married, she insisted they move into a muggle community. She makes us eat muggle food and keep up with the muggle community, even if that means not keeping up with the wizard community," she frowned, twirling the still cleans spoon on the wooden table. It scratched the table, making an unsatisfying sound. "I've technically learned up to 7th year about muggles. I don't think I need to go to muggle studies.."
She got up and turned to the girl. "Anyway. How about you?" she placed her spoon in the bowl with a splish. "Are you like, Pureblood? Or muggle-born? You seem to know a bloody good lot about muggle treats," she sipped a spoonful of broth and placed the spoon down.Mentions: @Ersa Murtaugh
