Character Special Race/Talent: I want to choose Metamorphmagus for Leo.

Here's the 500 word essay for registration (I need to post this here, right?):
Reducio
Leo's Father, James Madahand, is a wizard, and is a pureblood. He went against his family wishes, and married a muggle. But this means the genes of metamorphmagi runs through Leo.
Metamorphmagi run through the Madahands. Apparently his great grandpa was a really strong and powerful one. Can even appear as the opposite gender. This is not the case with Leo.

This happened a year after Leo's first instance of Magic. This time, one night, he and his little sister, Diane, were out on a walk. When they were walking, a very suspisious man approached them. It seemed that he was drunk. Very loud and noizy, he intimidated poor little Diane. Leo didn't now what to do, so obviously, he ran. But both of them were kids, and the guy was prettly nimble, so they got cornered pretty fast. But something stopped the drunk man, nd he ran away. Screaming. ''Brother, your eyebrows are all red and scary!' Diane giggled.

When reported to Leo's father, he explained everything. How metamorphmagi work, and how Leo's great grandpa was one. He said that he himself had waited years, and was pretty exited that his som got it. Leo's mother, though, was honestly kind of scared. SHe was afraid Leo might use it to prank her. But that would take a long, long time.

Of course, there were small incidents. One time he woke up with green hair. Once he woke up with red eyes. Another time, he got up and met his dad and made his dad shout in surprise, and almost got scolded my his mother, as a blue streak ran throgh his hair, making it seem as if he dyed it. Another time, when he was playing with his friends, they thought the devil took posession of his body as his nails turned red. Mostly they were harmless, but almost all the time they too place when Leo was very emotional. During his birthday parties or times when his older sister actied like one? Boom. His hair turns pink. Whenever his friends cheated in a game or him mum scolded him? His eyes changed to red. But all of those barely lasted a minute. They were also minor changes, and sometimes even negligible.

But there was once when Leo was 10, and this incidents brings his mom goosebums to this day. The previous night, his mom was especially hard on Leo, as his grades weren't that good in school. The next day, when she went up to wake him, she could've sworn that the face she saw did not belong to her son. But that was just one second. The next instant, Leo asked her what happened, genuinely concerned. Leo was asked to verify multiple times whether he tried to do something, but the answer was always no. So now, after Leo has left to Hogwarts, his parents both await and prepare with some fear for a day where their son is a full on metamorphmagus. Of course, Both sisters are very excited for that though.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Mental Description: Leo is a very kind person. He is naturally clumsy, and gets himself hurt unnecessarily. He does have a saying, that 'clumsy people have high pain tolerance.' He's a bit dense, and is very innocent. He values friendships a lot, and is good natured. He is also book-smart (as in he does good in his studies) but he might be dumb sometimes. His smile is radiant, like a ray of sunshine, and he has the ability to be positive in the most depressing at times. He is stronger than he looks, but he never hit anyone in his life. He never has a temper, and it takes a lot to make him angry, but when he does, he shouts a lot, losing control of his words, but that's a rare case. Overall, he seems easy to approach. He compliments people freely, like saying 'that was sick!' to his friend because that is just who he is. He sometimes even says 'you're beautiful' to a girl he knows, because she is, and he likely doesn't think about what it might imply. He also has a god moral compass, thanks to his mother, but he is still a 11 year old kid. He is unnaturally good at singing, as he does not look like a boy who could sing and he probably does not know that his singing is good. He just cannot stand or sit still, he always taps his foot or drums the bench or moves his hips rhythmically when he's standing. A habit that never dies.

Biography: The Madahands live a quiet life in a small apartment. Leo's Father, James is a wizard, while his mother, Lilith is a muggle, so he naturally has a taste of both worlds. He also has two sisters, Cassandra (Cas, for short) who cares for his younger brother but bullies him all the time, and Diane, who thinks his older brother is the most amazing thing in the world.

Some more info: Cassandra Madahand doesn't have magic, and so she is in normal boring college, and is frankly jealous of Leo. His sister, though, thinks the wizarding world is too spooky and overwhelming, and doesn't want to get into Hogwarts. The family lives in a normal apartment, devoid of magic, as per the request of Leo's mom, but his father takes him out frequently to the wizarding world, and Leo's favorite experiences are the ways to travel to those places. His love for astronomy was from his elder sister, and most of his memories with her are when she taught him how to use a telescope. Cassandra is sometimes mean towards Leo and likes bullying him for the sake of it, but she is very overprotective of her little brother. Once, when an older kid in the neighborhood once hit Leo, she marched to the kid's home and him him in front of his parents. Yikes.

His younger sister, Diane, is very fond of Leo. Often times she tags along, following Leo like a tail, and is often influenced by his actions and words a lot. There were times when she listened to Leo over the parents. SO quite obviously, she tends to get spoiled by Leo. Often times Leo had to buy her candy and toys just because she makes the 'puppy eyes' at him.

Leo's friends weren't many, but the ones he had were close. He didn't know this, but a few of them were half-bloods or pure blooded, and he would later realize it when he meets them in Hogwarts. He often runs around, and due to his clumsiness, got himself hurt a lot.

His parents were quite different. His father was easy going, and very funny, often taking his time to educate his three children on the wizarding world and its wonders. His mother was the strict one in the household, and raises her voice quite a lot. She's one of the reasons why the siblings are so closely bonded. But Lilith Madahand is a person with a strong moral compass. She never misses an opportunity to correct Leo's actions and lets him know the consequences. Leo gets his character from his mother, while his personality from his dad, or at least that's what his older sister says.

His education isn't all that impressive. He was decent at studies, but does exceptionally well on things he is interested in. If he's not interested, he barely passes his grades. But he never really got scolded due to his grades, but he really hates chemistry. Might be the reason why he hates potions now.

First Instance of Magic: One time, when Leo was six, Cas (his older sister) was bothering Leo, saying that if he didn't clean her room, she'd blame something on him. She'd irritated him for so long he screamed, 'SHUT UP!' and the broomstick beside him flew and hit the opposite wall, breaking in half. Cas never asked Leo to clean her room ever again.

Elliana is zesty, energetic, and full of fun. Her main trait is kindness, where she likes to help others in need and always brings out the positive in any situation. Her bubbly personality makes her a very talkative person, and being this easygoing explains for the many many friends she has made at her young age. She is always seen with a contagious bright smile to which she aims to spread to all those around her. She also treats animals with kindness and love, one of her hobbies being spending time with her family pets. Elliana also particularly loves winter and the snow, her favourite colour being white and pale blue because of it.
Elliana lived in a loving household residing in London. Both her parents are East Asian that moved to London shortly before Elliana's brother was born. He is 3 years older than her, and also goes to Hogwarts. The Wintersnows are known for their pure bloodline, and this makes Elliana somewhat wary of Muggles and Muggle-born. She is however curious and fascinated by them and wants to learn all about their world. Elliana and her brother were both homeschooled before entering Hogwarts.

First Instance of Magic: In the middle of summer, 7 year old Elliana was walking in her family's garden. While observing all the flower variants and picking which one she liked best, she sneezed from all the pollen in her nose. When she opened her eyes, all the flowers and plants had suddenly formed frost on them. The unintentional magic stayed until 2 days later. This had scared Elliana to the core, not wanting to cause any trouble or harm the flowers, she became afraid of being near them.

Elara Whitlock grew up in a small village outside York with her parents, Alistair and Eleanor. Her father is a wizard, and her mother comes from a muggle family. The village itself was quiet and ordinary, with fields everywhere, a small primary school, and enough quiet corners to keep her occupied.

Being an only child meant she learned pretty early how to entertain herself. Most afternoons were spent reading, drawing in whatever notebook she happened to be carrying, or wandering around outside until someone called her home for dinner. She had a habit of bringing books with her everywhere, even on walks, though she rarely managed to read much once she got distracted by something else.

Before Hogwarts, Elara attended the local primary school. She wasn't the loudest student in class, but she wasn't shy either. She had a small group of friends and mostly kept to them. Teachers liked her well enough, though more than one report mentioned that she spent too much time staring out the window.

English and Art were her favourite subjects. She liked writing stories, even if most of them never made it past a few pages, and her exercise books were usually covered in little sketches around the margins. During breaks she often sat with a book instead of joining whatever game everyone else was playing.

Although she grew up knowing about magic, it never felt like the centre of her childhood. Most days were pretty ordinary. She went to school, rode her bike around the village with friends, helped her mother with errands, and occasionally listened to one of her father's stories at the dinner table.

First Instance of Magic:

Around six years old, Elara was looking for a little book that had been missing for some time in her room. In her search, she ended up turning her whole room upside down, making more of a mess than what it already was before. For some time, she stopped searching, because she felt irritated that she couldn't find the book. However, all of a sudden, the books in her room started moving by themselves, taking positions on the shelves again. Elara just stood there in awe, totally unaffected as if nothing much was happening. Then she resumed her search for the lost book.

Mary Littoreus was born on 9 September 2014, a cloudy and rainy autumn day that left her with memories of rain thudding against the roof of their house, as her mother sang her soft-worded lullabies and rocked her in her arms to sleep.
Her family was a true pure-blood legacy. After the First Wizarding War, the Littoreus family, by order of the Ministry of Magic, were chosen to protect the south-eastern seashore of Scotland – primarily to defend it from dark wizards or ill-intentioned Muggles, should any approach. This meant the family always had to be prepared for battle, but also to care for the animals inhabiting the waters and to monitor natural phenomena that, if not for the vigilant eye of the Littoreus, would have reached the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Magic months later.
It was, of course, an honorary role, but surprisingly not well known or recorded in the History of Magic books, perhaps because the people who did the job were neither grand nor spectacular. They were simple and resilient, not loud in their actions but consistent, and that was not exactly what magazines sought in their stories. So, even though the family receives reasonable payment and recognition from the Ministry of Magic, their type of career is not widely known and is more attributed to their family’s unique history.
The family owned a house on the shore of the North Sea, as well as a small island further out in the water, where a lighthouse stood. In autumn and winter, Mary’s father would often travel there to keep a closer watch over the waters, and sometimes visit during the warmer seasons. The girl grew up surrounded by many complex and enchanting things that even many wizarding children would not have known, as they did not live on a seashore or possess the responsibility to protect not only a part of the wizarding world, but also their legacy, and to bring greatness to it. Even before she began attending Hogwarts, she was already highly knowledgeable in tending the lighthouse light. She was allowed to accompany her father during the warm seasons for a few days, trimming wicks and replenishing fuel in the old lighthouse systems. Over time, she learned to operate fog signals, perform basic maintenance on the tools and the site, and even participated in a few search and rescue missions.
Receiving her acceptance letter to Hogwarts was no surprise to her, as she had been expecting it for a long time. Still, she was overjoyed and anxiously awaited the adventures that awaited her in the mysterious shadows of the castle. As the oldest of the Littoreus siblings, with no older brothers or sisters to familiarize her with Hogwarts, she faced these new experiences on her own.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
It all happened on her eighth birthday, as she and her siblings hid behind a large dune, watching a grey seal that believed it was hidden away on this secluded, abandoned-looking beach, out of sight, as it gave birth to its pups. The scene, as every year since their mother had shown them this miraculous hiding spot to watch the grey seals, mesmerised them, and they all watched in silence. Suddenly, the Littoreus family dog, which had apparently followed the children to the hiding place by scent, came up barking from behind them in the secluded area. Its barks angered Mary so much that she was about to cry at the brief thought that crossed her mind: that the grey seal mother might be frightened and never return to their shore to give birth. She quietened the dog as best she could, though her brows remained furrowed and she was barely holding back tears. To her surprise, when she turned back to the seal, it was still lying where it had been, calm and undisturbed. It seemed as if a shield that preserved the sound the family dog had made appeared overhead, preventing the seal from hearing any of the noise, allowing it to believe it was still safe and sound. That evening, when she told her parents about the incident, they, suspecting something, sent a letter to a seer who lived nearby. The seer confirmed it was Mary’s first instance of magic, and the family celebrated not only her birthday but also the confirmation of her magical powers.
STATUS: Pending, Santiago, June 9th
Reason for Pending:
- In her ency, please clarify how the Littoreus family manages to blend in among Muggles without drawing attention. Pureblood families are typically not familiar with Muggle customs or behavior, so we need an explaination how they are able to attend Muggle gatherings and interact socially without standing out.
- It’s fine that her family was involved in the Wizarding War, but please clarify that the Littoreus family’s Ministry role is only family lore and not an official canon system. They would not have authority over other players, and it should not imply any power or decisions that affect other players’ RP, unless agreed upon between partners, as we can’t track individual family lore as shared canon across all players on site.
STATUS: Pending, Santiago, June 10th
Reason for Pending:
- Regarding clarification, we need a sentence in the background and in the encylopedia that clarifies the extent of their influence.
- The first instance of magic is currently unclear, as it is difficult to determine what event is intended to be the accidental magic. Additionally, significantly altering the natural behavior of animals would be considered too powerful for a child. Please keep this in mind when editing.

Character Special Race/Talent: Werewolf
Reducio
It was a tranquil summer night, the air in Marseille gets a little humid, but the breeze of the sea carries the moistened air in a comforting way. Vivienne was 8 years old at the time and on vacation at her grandparents' house while her mother and father were away on business to research foreign magical herbs. The moon was bright, full, and beaming through her window as if it were begging for her attention. She had always been a wanderer of sorts when it came to exploring the outdoors. She especially adored the peacefulness of the empty scenes at night. Her grandparents lived just outside of the city, where her safety had never been a concern when she went on these late-night walks.

Tonight, she had decided to listen to the moon’s every beck and call and go out to the gardens to parade around in contemplation. She crawled out of bed, put on a sweatshirt just in case it was cold, and was on her merry way. The breeze felt more chilled than it usually was in the middle of summer, in a way that blew down her spine and made her shiver. There was an ominous feeling that sank deep in the pits of her stomach, a fuzz of worry that she passed off as just being intimidated by the darkness.

Then there it was. Crack.

A sound of a branch snapping in the woods of her grandparents’ estate could be heard not too far away. She snapped her head towards the sound, her heart threatening to beat out of her chest. It’s just an animal, it’s not anything you’re not used to, she reassured herself.

The clouds began to cover the soothing light of the moon and cast a subtle darkness over the gardens. Then, without any warning, an animal came out. No, it couldn’t have been an animal, it was nothing less than a monster.

An unregistered lycanthrope had found its way onto the premises.

Frozen with terror, Vivienne stumbled backward and fell against a stone planter. The werewolf lunged, its teeth sinking deep into her left shoulder as she raised her arm and turned away. The pain forced a scream from her throat that carried all the way to the house. Almost immediately, lights burst on throughout the estate. Her grandfather's voice rang out across the gardens, followed by the crack of protective spells being cast.

Voices shouted in alarm.

The werewolf released her and retreated into the woods rather than risk confrontation. By the time they were able to reach her, she had already suffered a deep bite across her left shoulder. The wound was treated immediately with powdered silver and dittany that had been harvested from their gardens, saving her life, but nothing they had been able to grow could have prevented the infection from taking hold of her body.

The scar from the event remains clearer than ever. Teeth marks formed in the shape of a crescent moon, stretching across her shoulder blade as a constant reminder of the night that had ruined the simplicity of her life forever.

She was more than lucky that her grandparents were skilled in the areas of potion-making due to their former careers working in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes and had the connections they did with former potion masters to assist her parents in any way they needed later down the line, but the months that followed were nevertheless difficult. Vivienne, at first, struggled to understand why she became gravely ill before every full moon and why she woke exhausted and sore after every transformation. Her parents, particularly her mother, worked tirelessly to ensure that she was safe. Her father constructed secure accommodations for the nights she transformed, and her mother spent all her time teaching her how to manage a condition she may have been far too young to fully understand just yet.

Though she remains the girl she had always grown up to be, gentle and kind, her newfound identity has unwillingly shaped many aspects of her life. Her senses became unusually sharp, particularly her hearing and sense of smell. She often notices some things before other people do, from approaching footsteps to the scent of rain before a storm. It was nothing too inconveniencing, though she’ll learn to realize people smell a lot worse when your nose is particularly sensitive to the notes of their perfumes and the musks of others' natural scent, sometimes an awful combination of both. Around the full moon, she tends to become noticeably paler and significantly more fatigued, making it difficult for her to do anything during that period. The days that follow a transformation leave her physically weakened and mentally drained.

It’s also worth noting how painfully aware she is of the reputation that werewolves carry within wizarding society, despite all the efforts to normalize their existence within the world and combat prejudices against them. While her family has always encouraged her to be proud of herself and the new abilities that have come with her newfound lifestyle, it’s difficult to ignore the way witches and wizards react to lycanthropy with fear. She rarely speaks about her condition at home unless absolutely necessary, and will refuse to open up to anyone else about her condition in fear of how her friends may treat her if they discover the truth.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
On a quiet evening in September, a beautiful baby girl was born as the first and only child of the half-blood wizards Juliette-Annalise Renée and Caelum Seymour. Though she was born and raised in Winchester, Vivienne was lucky enough to grow up with a connection to both sides of her lineage. Her father is fully English, with all of his family being from the Winchester area. While her mother is fully French, resulting in many trips to the French countryside and an interesting dynamic within their household where both languages were spoken fluently (as closely as they could be for the adult learners) by the trio.

The story of her parents’ first encounter is a tale that has been told countless times over dinners, with goblets joyfully being raised in the air by her father as he recounts his first love. It was in his early twenties when Caelum travelled throughout Chantilly, France, on behalf of his family’s agricultural magic business, hoping to create some partnerships with other magical gardeners and get some herbs that they had not yet acquired in their own farms. At the Fermes de Gally, attending a summer festival, he found himself lost after wandering from the main festivities. Hopelessly, he walked around in attempts to find someone who could guide him back to his stay. Luckily, Juliette, who had then been working alongside her family’s apothecary business, was the one who pointed him back in the right direction. What was meant to be a brief discussion on their walk back to his inn became an unforgettable evening spent together.

Eventually, after the birth of their daughter, Juliette settled completely in England, and they were married shortly after. The Renée-Seymours are an average family with an average income. A large portion of their income comes from generations of successful magical farming, allowing them to live comfortably without feeling detached from the people around them. The doors to their farmhouse were rarely closed to the community, allowing Vivienne to become closely connected to the place she calls home.

Vivenne was adored by her parents and the various caretakers who had volunteered to help maintain the grounds. She spent much of her life accompanying the caretakers around the property, helping them gather eggs, feed their livestock, and tend to their muggle gardens. She was never lonely for affection, but most of the people she interacted with regularly were adults who had interacted with her first. She often found herself lacking in companions of her own age, and she was naturally shy when it came time to meet new children. Due to this, she struggled to form friendships in her earliest years and often preferred observing from the sidelines to introducing herself to others.

This naturally changed when she started attending a small homeschooling group for young wizards. Being surrounded by other children on a daily basis for the first time, Vivienne slowly started to come out of her shell. She was still never the loudest child in the class, nor the first to join a game on the playground. Instead, she discovered that, at the very least, friendship came easier to her once someone approached her first. From this, she had developed her small circle of friends over the years, many of whom remain among her closest companions.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Her first display of magic arrived later than her parents had expected. As the daughter of a magical father, there had been some uncertainty about whether she would inherit magical abilities at all. Vivienne had been an unusually calm and easy child, rarely experiencing the intense emotions that often trigger accidental magic in young witches and wizards.

That uncertainty vanished one winter morning when Vivienne was four years old.

She had accompanied her nanny to the garden to gather strawberries for her mother, eagerly carrying a small wicker basket in anticipation. Upon arriving, however, she discovered that her beloved strawberry patch had withered into dormancy beneath the season's frost. The vibrant plants she adored appeared lifeless, hidden beneath the cold grip of winter. Heartbroken, Vivienne burst into tears.

The moment her first sob escaped, the dormant garden responded. Tiny green shoots emerged from frozen soil, frost melted from leaves, and strawberry blossoms unfurled where none should have existed. Before the astonished eyes of her nanny, ripe berries began appearing throughout the patch as though spring itself had briefly forgotten the calendar.

Though the magical bloom lasted only a few minutes before settling back into winter's slumber, it was enough. The Winchester family finally had their answer. Vivienne Winchester was, without question, a witch.

special race ⋆ metamorphagus
Reducio

Asier Hoax was Lourine's muggleborn, metamorphagus grandmother, a famous figure skater paired with Dillenia Moth in muggle Cardiff. Up until Lourine was nearly a decade, their mom would attend the pair's private rehearsals. The stands were always empty, but over the years she would often be allowed to watch. She would know all the choreography, and was even a proficient skater by that point, thanks to Asier's love for the sport. Still, rather than pursuing the industry, she'd watch the two practice every session.

In one of these rehearsals, an on-ice collision lacerated Dillenia's neck. He would die near immediately, only to be witnessed by Lour's mom and Asier. Asier, acting on desperation, would use Lour's two mothers to bury his death, utilizing their mama's skill in magic to remove the evidence from muggle society.*

Asier would refuse to cancel the initial plans for the competition and would use her own daughter, Lour's mom, to make up for Dillenia's absence. Both were metamorphagi, and the final competition they would use this talent to have Asier take Moth's more difficult choreography and Lour's mom take Asier's. They performed as the original pair.

Publicly, both Dillenia and Asier had an immediate retirement and a quiet private life, taking care to keep Dillenia's absence buried. Asier health deteriorated not long after. When the fashion house of Lour's father was hosting an event for many of his clients to feature, Asier was adamant her daughter should use Dillenia's likeness to attend, as she was known for her consuming interest in his fame. Lour's mother would comply with her request.

As Dillenia in a hotel that weekend, a chandelier shattered over her head. She was just conscious enough to hold her camouflage, but failed to continue as soon as an ambulance arrived. Lour's mama would end up making the trip to use memory charms* on those that saw her, effectively replacing her appearance with Dillenia's. While Lour's mom would heal entirely and successfully with the help of magic, there was not much of a muggle explanation for surviving the sustained injuries. Because of this and his earlier murder, Lour's parents used this to allow Dillenia Moth to die publicly. He would later be cremated to

Lourine sustained a minor flesh wound from the same chandelier that would injure their mother. While their siblings had witnessed the damage that night, from the next morning Lourine would make a subconscious effort to hide the injury from the people in their life. Their family would assume they'd healed it and that this was their first sign of magic, they'd celebrate this.

Lour would start witnessing the scar when they were alone and grew to consider it was a metamorphagus talent. Lour had heard of the concept before, as it was known throughout the family that their mother was one despite her refusing to be open about it. She'd always have indigo hair- same as Asier would. Her children would learn it was an effect of her talent.

From the moment they'd leave for Hogwarts; the healed scar would be visible, and their hair would be indigo.

Lourine grew up surprisingly resourceful and adapted eagerly to the interests and careers of their older siblings and three parents. Born to their muggle dad, metamorphagus mom, and their adoptive wix mama, the family was informed early of the confidential existence of magic despite spending life in muggle society.

Lourine was enthralled with the concept by five, having their mama read textbooks* before bed and failing to will magic from their fingertips- this obsession occurred for years.
Kathana, their older sister, involved Lourine in her design projects to replace herself as their father's successor in the fashion industry. He was a costume designer for figure skaters and, as the family frequented these shows, Lourine grew especially fond of his clients and his work. As magic stalled on them, they took great interest in doing minor sewing tasks and especially drafting designs on Kathana's behalf.

It was Lourine who created the concepts used in Kathana's debut, as their father was able to get his clients to wear her work for a social event, though she never had the courage to reveal this to him. Lourine kept her secret.

Kathana left with their father for the event, staying the weekend at a hotel to prepare- their father as Dillenia's stylist and Kathana as a featured designer. Back home, Lour was nudged awake by midnight. "Kathy's calling," Lia shoved his phone to their ear as they sit up, they shared a room. "I left Cendrillon's outfit by my desk," She'd say in a nervous sort of whisper. "Take the bus, and don't tell Mama."

Lia insisted on joining; it would take the better of an hour, he waited outside. Across the hall was Dillenia's room, Lour knew because he walked up to it just then. "You know them?" He'd glance at the bag they left by the door, and Lour would nod. "You're Dillenia Moth." Then he'd nod and crouch down to shake the 10 year old's hand. He asked their name too, and Lour would rattle off his iconic spins and all the shows they'd seen. They couldn't say he worked with their dad or the designs they made in his honor, Kathana would have to do it for them.

first magic ⋆ The hallway's chandelier fell over the pair, charged entirely by Lourine's admiration, their magic snapped the chain clean in half.
Lour recoiled just enough to avoid the shards. Dillenia wasn't so lucky, cuts poured blood over his face and locks.

Kathana clicked her door open, finally. Lourine heaved air. They all said nothing for a while. Lour would tell Kathana to call an ambulance, she'd tell them to go back home.

Lia grows frantic once they're back outside. Blood spilt from their nose bridge, a piece of glass did strike them after all. "Who did this to you?" He interrupted the space for answer, his brows knitting. "I'll break their nose." Lour would burst into tears.

Their parents already knew the next morning. It was their dad who called first, telling Lour two kids shouldnt be taking the bus in the middle of the night unless they really needed to, that of course they could wake Mama for these things. He told them that Dillenia was just in the hospital. Their Mama told them the same thing. Their mom would be at Asier's, looking after her, as far as Lour understood.

Dillenia died not long after, Lourine had been convinced it was their fault. When they finally received their letter to Hogwarts, the dread settles in their chest.

They packed their bags without question, everyone knew how much they wanted this. Yet when they step inside the train on Platform 9¾, they weren't sure how much anymore.

Reducio

I've tried my best to avoid unpermitted details and I understand lour's history may be a bit ambitious. Please address this category at your own volition, but I've marked (*) things I assume might want clarification.
⋆ i'm worried of the plotline including covering for a murder / faking one, im willing to clarify / find alternatives where necessary.
⋆ lour's mama is a witch who went to hogwarts and is proficient with memory charms. If I'm allowed and the portrayal here is accurate to how this site considers Obliviators, I wanted to know if this character could be considered one as their line of work and/or simply use memory charms in this way here.
⋆ im absolutely willing to have any of the adults involved in the cover up of Dillenia's murder (Asier / lour's mother(s)) punished by the ministry of magic if required. This can also happen mid-plot if im allowed to write it in (just wanted to confirm when this would happen if so)
⋆ it's noted their mama (went to hogwarts) has access to textbooks on magic, these are her own (if i could, i wanted lour to be able to take them to hogwarts / they would match some of the textbooks needed for their classes)- but if this isnt feasible i can replace it. i want to clarify, yes lour does NOT know how to perform any spells.
⋆ im aware lour is quite young, i tried to make it clear that they arent proficient in sewing; Kathana does most of the physical work and edits their designs for production. please let me know if i should make that more evident.
⋆ lour's noted to receive a minor scar on their nose from the FIOM event, it was hidden with their metamorphagus ability (subconscious) during healing / around family. It is fully healed when entering hogwarts, and lour actively refuses using magic to remove the healed scar. If it isn't feasible for lour to keep the scar, please let me know, otherwise I'll update their profile image to match.
⋆ since the muggle world follows irl time, i included details like using phones there, let me know if this isn't ok

i've read through and revised this many times, it's frying my brain a bit so i apologize if ive missed anything. again i am always willing to make changes where needed, thank you for your time and energy ♡

STATUS: Pending, Meiyu, 12th June
- Please clarify the family and their bloodline, is Lourine's grandmother wizard born, pureblood, half-blood or muggle? If of wizarding descent, please elaborate on how Asier was a figure skater amidst muggles.
- The First Instance of Magic appears unclear, I would suggest going through this guide to assist you, however, just minor clarifications are required; did the chandelier fall as a result of the FIOM or is it falling the FIOM? If so, clarifications as to why the chandelier fell would be required.
Lourine
the clarification on Lourine's grandmother (special race, par.1) and FIOM (first magic, par.1) have been made. This was an unexpectedly simple request, let me know if anything else is needed. thank you<3

The Casselle Family lived in a historic manor in the outskirts of Canterbury, England. Where Charlotte's life was defined by the intersection of ancient family traditions and her parent's nurturing approach. Despite coming from a pure-blood clan, her parents never instilled pressure and traditional parenting styles on her, instead they chose to cultivate their daughter's world with sunlight rather than shadows.

After her parent's multiple failed trials with pregnancy, Charlotte came to them as their beam of light, thus she became the center of their universe. Even though she's an only child, her parents did not spoil her, but rather instilled her in a profound desire to share abundance of love she received at home.

Because her parents were so involved in her life, they encouraged her creative whims without restraints. At 5 years of age, Charlotte showed interest in painting and arts, thus her parents turned their sunroom into her very own studio. When she wanted to try baking, her mom taught her right away, then it became their mother and daughter bonding. This kind of support allowed her imagination to flourish.

By the time she was 10 years old, she became the Golden Child of her town. Whether it was organizing a neighborhood garden tea party or helping local kids learn how to knit their own scarves, She puts her heart and soul into everyone she meets in her town. That's why she earned a reputation as the girl who could bring anyone out of their shell. Her parents loved to joke that she knows more town secrets than their town council.

Even though she's a social butterfly, she still love some alone time. That's why most of her weekends were spent on their family library, where she learns new things that she'll yet to explore. She believes that the world is a series of stories to be heard.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Since her family was residing in Canterbury, which is the Garden of England, her first instance of magic was when she was having a picnic with her parents when she was five years old on a vast field, they were sitting in a picnic blanket talking and teasing each other, then her father jokingly tickled her to hear her little giggles, she felt so happy at that time that the grass around them slowly turned into flowers as her giggles goes on.
STATUS: Pending, Santiago, 20/06/2026
Reason for Pending:
- Please clarify whether she's the golden child of Canterbury, or a smaller, magical neighborhood by their manor. Since Canterbury is a large city with muggles, a pure-blood child would not be famously known among muggles and at such a large scale.
- Don't forget to update the biography in her ency when making edits.

Growing up in Galway, Ireland, directly by the coast, Iréthe has always been a fan of the ocean. The Calleary’s own a cozy house on the outside of the city. His family makes him a pure-blood and he has therefore always been acquainted with magic. However, his parents made sure that their boy spends lots of time in the world of the muggles too, allowing him to make friends outside of the magical circle around them. This was something very important to them because unlike many other pure-bloods, they are strictly against discrimination and the concept of magical or blood superiority.

That can be traced back to the fact that Iréthe’s father Timeth once got lost when he was very little and could not find his way back to his parents anymore. He was terrified and hungry, searching for his family desperately. A muggle-family found him all lost, talking to him soothingly, offering shelter and buying him food and eventually help him find his family. Their kindness and integration surprised Timéth so positively that he surpassed the curiosity and even wanted to stay in touch, but his own parents were not too content about that. He could not understand the risks that came with it and mourned his experience and got angry at any wizard telling him that muggles lacked purity and greatness in power.
In Caimoe, he eventually found the love of his life that listened to his stories. The woman had neutral to curious thoughts about muggles, but agreed that it was wrong to hate on them for no reason and to view them as lesser beings.
Both of them wished their children to be raised with tolerance and respect for everyone, no matter how simple or strange a person‘s ways seemed, as one can learn great things from everyone, even muggles, that show how to appreciate the simple things in life and how to be resourceful.
It took a while to convince Caimoe, who was critical of the idea at first, but eventually, with Timeth promising that the children needed to make their own experience to fully develop respect, and reassuring her that there would always be someone taking precautions and looking out for them, she agreed to let her children associate with muggles in controlled environments. In order to keep their magic secret, Iréthe was not allowed to bring any muggles home with him and always had to go to their houses or play outdoors instead. More often than rarely, the parents made sure that a trusted magical adult was around when they were not at home, so that someone could always make sure nothing would go wrong on accident that could potentially result in Iréthe revealing his magic.

Always the adventurer, Iréthe has spent a lot of his free time wandering around the shore, climbing trees and rooftops no matter the weather. This gave him valuable social skills and exposed him to mundane life all together.

His best friend, Kierre, a half-blood, lived just in his neighborhood. Their family happened to own a big golden retriever that awakened Iréthe’s love for animals. Kierre is a black-haired, rebellious and mischievous little menace and mostly the reason why Iréthe does not think twice before causing chaos (on accident). He has dark skin and a buzz cut that keeps his black curls from springing out of control. At the same age, they were inseparable and constantly on missions to make their families question their upbringing and choices to have children.

The Calleary’s are a fairly ordinary, cozy pure-blood family that does not discriminate against other statuses. family. Caimoe Calleary, the mother, is a tall, slim woman of the age of 39. With long blond hair that reaches her waist in a straight flow, fair skin and gray eyes, she is almost the female and older version of Iréthe. To make her income, she runs an apothecary. She is known for being gentle and kind, yet also very strict when it comes to education. She wishes her children to be successful in life so they do not have to face unnecessary hardships.

Her husband, Timeth Calleary, who has curly brown hair and brown eyes, works with magical creatures. He has a strong build and is smaller than his wife, standing at 1.73m while she reaches 1.80m. The man is a jokester, having a permanent smile on full lips and coming up with pranks to cheer his children up with. He is a great listener and gave Iréthe his love for storytelling.

Iréthe’s younger brother Roque looks just like their father. He is 5 years old and a shy, skittish boy.

Their older sister Ashika is 21 years old, has dirty blond curly hair and brown eyes. She is confident, self-sufficient and was an 'accident' of their parents, but they do not regret having her.

Iréthe’s childhood was mostly uneventful, being raised by loving parents who supported him and supplied him with as many books and education as they could get in order to prepare him for adolescence. He still learns a lot from them today and it is not hard to tell where he got his traits from. Of course they did not only influence him positively by giving him a certain freedom and easiness to approach life with, but unfortunately his mother’s perfectionism and drive for good grades equipped Iréthe with the desire to perform well academically. This can lead to him being paralyzed by his own fear of disappointing his mother by not reaching up to her standards.

Sometimes, his mother struggled with mental health and still does up to this day, where her perfectionistic tendencies cause her to be so stressed out and frustrated that she just cannot continue and needs a break. Iréthe has learnt that he can try to cheer her up with his presence, often reducing the overwhelm and sadness coming from his mother. He is scared to lose her to it when she falls into holes that take her weeks to climb back out of and cannot help but wonder if it is not his fault for not being good enough and whether she had truly wanted this life. Which, to his unawareness, she wanted! She loves her children deeply, even when life becomes too much for her on occasion. Despite that, this still does not erase the fact that her habits resulted in hard days for the children who did not know how to deal with the situation properly and were sick with worries when Caimoe simply disappeared for a few days.

First Instance of Magic: His first use of magic was when he was six years old. Iréthe had been in an argument with his older sister Ashika who had been taking care of him during an episode of their mother where she had suddenly decided to simply vanish and go on a vacation on her own. Even when normally, Ashika and Iréthe get along just fine, this time, her nerves were worn thin after telling her younger brother that they cannot go after mommy for the seventh time. The boy would not listen and unintentionally provoked a fight, yelling back that they cannot leave Caimoe on her own. In the end, Ashika simply tucked him in bed and locked him in his room to ensure that he would not go wandering off in the middle of the night to look for Caimoe, which, in Ashika’s defense, was very likely Iréthe’s plan. Driven by emotion and frustration, Iréthe accidentally activated his magic for the first time, resulting in him splintering the wood of the door. Instead of fleeing, he took responsibility with awe and a slight amount of guilt.

Kai's grandparents had moved to the isolated Isle of Canna ,which was inhabited by around only a few 20 muggles, during the first wizarding war along with some other families, and kind of just settled there. Her family lives in a mixed community on the isle, though they keep their magic strictly hidden from their Muggle neighbors. Her parents are well-liked and social, always maintaining a good reputation in the area. She also has a younger brother, Jay, who is currently ten. Her mother, Yaksha Crewsmar, is a pure-blood witch of Indian ethnicity. She works as a dragonologist and was a Gryffindor during her time at Hogwarts. Because her job often takes her away from home, she makes a point to teach Kai about her Indian heritage whenever she's back. Kai actually spent most of her childhood with her father, Killian Hepner, because of whom she also took an interest in the stars. He is a Scottish half-blood, astronomer, who was a Ravenclaw and whose work schedule meant he was present in the house during the day. To make sure Kai was able to adjust with both sides of the world, she was studying in a muggle school on another isle, but had to eventually shift to a magical one as that didn't work out very well for her.
The muggle kids found her odd, resulting in her getting bullied, which stopped eventually because of strange things happening around her whenever they hit a nerve. Kai only had one muggle friend, Iona, and they were best friends, but Kai couldn't tell her like 60% of the stuff about herself and had to hide most of the things about herself. Though her life had started becoming better after shifting and the surroundings were much healthier. Even after shifting Kai had managed to stay in touch with Iona. By the time Kai's Hogwarts letter arrived she had already formed a small group of friends

Six year old Kai sneakily gets her hands on an old, broken film camera. As she poked around, she accidentally touched the live flash capacitor. Suddenly, there's a loud CRACK and a flash of sparks. Startled and terrified by the shock, Kai screamed as her left hand was burned, causing a surge that completely shattered the camera casing into a hundred pieces.

Character Backstory:
Her life before Hogwarts is simple, quiet, and completely ordinary.

She was born and raised in the peaceful English town of Bath, England. Marigold had grown up and spent her entire childhood surrounded with comfort vibes of their cozy cottage family house, the winding lanes with hedges lined completely, and neighbors who had known her entire family for years since they had started their life at the said town. Her childhood hometown is the sort of place where one can see children riding their bicycles through the streets and to the hills until the sun sets... also, this is where one can measure spring by how much flowers bloom around in gardens of each houses. It was home, by Mari's standards.

As the only child, she was completely cherished deeply by her parents and never hesitated in showering her with affection, encouragement, and occasional indulgence (just enough to not make her spoiled). Anyway, she never grew up entitled or demanding, and if anything, it made her even softer, learning kindness from her mother and curiosity from her father, and developed this gentle disposition that often place other's happiness before her own.

From young age, she proved to be unusually sensitive to emotions and moods of anyone around her, seemingly able to distinguish things that most will overlook. While other children rush through their lives without any thoughts, Mari always wonder and often led to daydreaming. Her empathy made her compassionate and perhaps, a little too trusting. Her parents joked sometimes that she could possibly befriend a stray cat, a frightened bird, and help a completely unknown stranger all within the same afternoon if she crossed paths with them. However, not everyone in town understand her, as while she wasn't outright disliked, she was often found standing apart from peers. Some even thought that she's odd for preferring books and being with nature over playground games. Some even find her quiet, shy nature, difficult to understand so she was often seen alone lounging and spending her time beneath trees, reading books or collecting flowers and plants during her short walks. After her parents discovered her avid curiosity and like for plants and flowers, they made her a small garden on their house backyard — a gift from her mother.
First Instance of Magic: Her first instance of magic happened way back when she was nine years old. There was a storm that went past and ruined her garden in the process, and all her beloved plants ended up getting destroyed overnight. Some are even uprooted due to the strong winds and the now corroded soil from too much rain. Feeling too sad about her garden's ruin, she didn't noticed a small bud of flower budding from the side of her muddy boots until she turned around. Among the ruins, it was the only one standing on the ground and its petals were blooming vividly that she forgot her sadness as she stared at the lone flower in awe. She didn't understood it yet about how it happened back then, but that same moment changed her life for real.
