Some Reading And Maybe A New Friend
Meredith set down to the Courtyard to do something she loved to do, read a book on animals and not just any animals magical animals like Hippogriffs and griffins as well as unicorns and centaurs. She just loved to read all of their facts and all of the books that Meredith could get her hands on at the Library about them. The first thing she read was about unicorns and merpeople,

Meredith had never read about unicorns before so all of this information was new to her. Meredith started on merpeople,

Like humans, merpeople come in a variety of appearances, For instance, the majority of the Black Lake Merpeople colony had green hair, yellow eyes, and grey skin. They also had silver tails. It is very unlikely a human would resemble that. Merpeople also seem to be taller than humans, with seven feet appearing to not be an unusual height, at least for a selkie.
Merpeople are divided up into various sub-species or races, depending on where they live. The earliest merpeople lived in Greece, and were known as sirens. In modern times, merpeople living in warmer waters take on a more beautiful appearance, while those in colder waters, such as the selkies of Scotland and the Merrows of Ireland, are less attractive."

Some Reading And Maybe A New Friend
Hyuna was tired. She'd talked with a bit too many people today and not out of her own will. The girl was just not very social, and didn't like people in general. She'd come to the courtyard to be by herself for some time. She sat down with a sign, not looking at anyone else.
But then she remembered what her parents had said to her so many times. That she should finally get over what happened in the past and make some friends. She was going to try her best to at least do one thing right, for herself and her parents. Since every time she'd had a friend they'd betrayed her, she found it extremely hard to trust, or to even just talk to people in general.
While she talked, it was just random thoughts whirling about in her head. They're not any better then any of your last friends, it always said. That voice never let her be free from her bad memories from all the years ago, and made her be a cold, closed up person who honestly most people hated before they even knew her, since she came across as so rude.
Hyuna just needed someone kind and loyal, to make her open up and have a real friend at last, who would somehow make her tell them something about her without getting annoyed with her attitude and leaving straight away.

Meredith looked up to see a girl who looked really tired and annoyed. Meredith closed her book and looked over to her and said to the girl," Hello, What is your name? Mine is Meredith, What house are you in? Sorry I talk way to much."
" Ugh I do talk to much! Father had told me that a lot but I never really thought I did though. Maybe this girl is nice or maybe she is mean... I have had enough with mean people today. Everyone has been teasing me all day. But not any more! I will make this girl my best friend or just a good friend or maybe just a friend or maybe a person I just know well or maybe I will not know them well I might just know her. Wow! I really do talk to much even in my head."
Meredith looked at this girl a bit more closely and decided that she was a first year, but still had no clue what house she was. Maybe she was a cunning Slytherin like Meredith or maybe she was a brave Gryffindor or even a Ravenclaw who was super smart or something like that. Meredith was never really good at guessing that type of stuff.
