| Sometimes Cash wondered about themselves. About how their brain's chemical
and neurological processes work. After a few days of the new school year rolled in,
the green-eyed student did not intend to sign up for any sports that Hogwarts
offered to its students. Not Broom Racing. Not Duelling. Especially not Quidditch.
But then again, there was like a magical, mysterious, and unseen force that pulled
Cash stood in front of the signed-up sheet for Quidditch in the Common Room
bulletin board. Gut, the green eyes could not deny that Quidditch had become their
blood and flesh. They wanted to blame their parents for the genes since both
of their parents, when they attended this very school, were Quidditch players
in their own right.
Nowadays, days later, after the initial try-outs for aspiring Quidditch players for both
new and old alike, Cash is here. At the Quidditch Training Pitch, high above
the little bit of snowy ground of the pitch. Before this day, when the try-outs was
undergo, the former Prefect of Slytherin was aiming for the Chaser position.
Days after the try-outs ended, Cash unintentionally checked the result,
instead getting what they wanted. which is the Chaser role, the young Ironwoods
got the position of Second-String Keeper. They needed to blink their eyes
a few times to make sure their eyes did not deceive them.
What did they know about the Keeper position? They did not know nada, none,
zilch, nothing, and zero clue about that particular position. Their body and reflexes
had been trained for years for the role of First-String Beater for the team before
Cash was pulled out at the end of their Fifth year. They also had noted, seen, and
watched what Chasers did in a Quidditch match.
But to be appointed as the new Second-String Keeper, Cash was in the dark about it.
And so, after classes ended for the day, Cash hurriedly returned to their dorm,
to swap out their school uniform for something more comfortable and warm to
fight against the chilly air and wind that breezes here and there on this Scottish
Highland magical school.
"Come boy!"The young socialite patted their thigh to beckon their loyal companion.
Aero, the Emerald Gazer Snake. Sometimes Cash forgot that Aero is a reptile and not
a canine. Once Aero clung safely on their shoulders, Cash brought the snake out to
ventured the cold air with them, together.
They trekked a bit until Cash entered the Quidditch Training Pitch. The green eyes
then put down their snake on the ground, and Aero happily slithers away to one of
The spectators benches for the time being. Cash then grabbed their Firebolt and their
Quidditch uniform robe, and then they kicked themselves off the ground and flew
away.
Before this point, the green eyes had put up an anonymous little help-wanted notification
pinned on the Common Room bulletin board in their elegant cursive handwriting.
Cash needed help to practice their new role on the team since Cash had zero clue
what a Keeper usually did on a Quidditch match. Cash did not expect anyone to
reach out and show up on this chilly late afternoon of the last golden hours of the day.
Even if someone showed up and they had read the Cash help wanted 'Advertisement', the Sixth year would probably deny it. They denied it because they had too big an ego to admit it out loud that Cash really needed help to practice for their accuracy and evasion reflex, since the next game will be happening tomorrow and the green eyes were running out of the clock.

OOC NoteJust because Cash has a snake as a pet, does not mean you could assume that they are
Parsel unless Cash told you. The only ones that know Cash is indeed a Parsel are A.S.P kids

ββ Ever since she first rode a broom, Cecilia knew that she was destined for the skies. This fondness for flying soon sparked her interest in Quidditch, which ultimately deluded her into believing she possessed the potential to run for captaincy. Although this was somewhat unusual given that duelling was the natural path for a Merrick, it was not all that strange given the fact that Cecilia had recently developed a penchant for straying from family traditions. Still, she was ready to pour her heart out for the sport in spite of her grandparent's firm disapproval.
And so naturally, her seafoam eyes lit up when she read the flyer pinned to the common room bulletin board. After all, it was now her shared duty β with Charlotte Winfield β to ensure that their players were in perfect shape before each match. What better way to do that than to provide some personalised training? This was certainly not some excuse to escape addressing her pile of homework.
As the arranged hour drew near, golden rays of the sinking sun illuminated her path to the training pitch. Fresh snow crunched beneath her boots and auburn locks danced like flames as Cecilia jogged over. Clutching her trusty old broom, she glanced around before a sudden overhead movement drew her gaze to the sky. Though it was difficult to identify who it was, she drew her breath when she eyed their firebolt. Surely someone who possessed such a prized broom was skilled enough to not not require further training, right? Her astute gaze swept over the perimeter once more just to ensure no one else was around. Indeed, she could not see anyone else in the vicinity, leaving her to suspect that this mysterious flyer was behind the anonymous poster.
The bright-eyed fox donned a dark green jersey with the number nine imprinted on the back. This would occasionally be obscured by her long ponytail as she moved. After ensuring her shin and arm guards were fitted securely, she readjusted her fingerless gloves. With a steady grip around her broom shaft, Cecilia kicked her boot off the ground. Flaming locks fluttered in the wind as she soared in the sky. The cold was biting, but that would not deter her.
Once she steadied herself in the air, she cupped one hand over her mouth. βGood evening!β She called out, attempting to grab their attention before attempting to fly closer. Her cheeks were blushed pink from the nipping cold. βSoβ¦β she arched her brow, eyeing the older Slytherin. βYouβre my student for the evening.β
Despite her playful tone, her unwavering, steely-eyed gaze focused on the new Cloud Cobra. βDo you need help training your reflexes? They surely canβt be terrible if you can handle a broom like that,β her lips curled into a sly grin as she tilted her chin towards the firebolt. Admittedly this was a rather cheeky remark to make to someone who was clearly her senior, but Cecilia knew that darkness would soon come for them. There was no time to beat around the bush. The air was crisp and the training pitch was theirs. They had a game to win. It was now or never.ββ
