There he was, walking through the train station filled with bustling crowds & people shouting for their tickets, luggage & the sorts of things needed for travel nowadays. Meanwhile, Nox was currently looking for... Platform 93/4?
How are we supposed to leave for Hogwarts from a place in between platforms 9 and 10?! He lamented to himself, as he recalled the amused smirk that his mother gave him when he asked her about it. "You have to figure that out for yourself, dear. I too once went through this very same conundrum. It's just part of the Hogwarts experience, you'll find it soon enough... Or are you at a complete loss now, are we?", She said in a teasing manner, as she let out a few amused chuckles.
I bet mother just wants to see me and father rack our brains over this... No! I can't lose my head over mother's provocations. Hmmm, let's see... As he contemplated, he caught sight of his younger sister beginning to, yet again, wander off towards other platforms. He then grabbed her by the hoodie of her casual jacket. "Don't go wandering off now Ilya, you'll get lost." Well, mother probably has a spell for finding things or... people, if needed... let's hope we won't need it though...
Wearing a composed expression, he had a realization as a particular brick wall caught his eye. It looked... oddly inviting. Strangely enough, Nox also realized that it was perfectly 3 quarters of the way from Platforms 9 to 10. With his parents & sister watching, he gripped the handle of his trolley, took a breath, and marched straight toward the solid wall... and went right through it. As he made his way out the other side, he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Phew, that actually worked...
What entered Nox's vision was a busy station crowded by numerous wizarding families here to see their children off on their journey to Hogwarts. People pushed trolleys filled with books & equipment needed for their stay. What was most eye catching however, was the large steam locomotive spanning many carriage compartments along the railway.
Old school, but... it has it's charm. After having his luggage loaded aboard, it was now time to say goodbye to his family...
"Well... me and your mother know you'll be just fine, you've always been a bright kid.", His father said. "Oh, and make sure not to get into too much trouble now, Nox.", his mother added. "So I can get into some trouble right?", Nox remarked as a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Don't go twisting your mother's words now, promise you'll try to stick to the rules while you're there, okay?", His father warned. "Fine, I promise I'll try. I love you all.", Nox declared with a smile as they all gathered together for a warm, family hug. In the touching embrace, they all gave Nox one final, tight squeeze and loosened their arms around him.
Letting him go, they watched as he put on a composed mask and began to make his way towards the large locomotive express. I'll miss them... but now I'm going to Hogwarts, the finest school of witchcraft & wizardry in the world. A place where I can unlock my dormant potential & embark on many unknown adventures. Nox stopped walking for a moment, gave one final look back at his family, and disappeared into the locomotive express.
