Prank gone wrong

Ira was feeling especially notorious today. She had a plan. To prank Alex! Her first victim of pranks after her little brother. What can he say or do? She knew he is not the kind of guy who would be furious by such acts or take revenge. She just had to put her plans into actions. One might call her mad if they had seen her talking to herself while she speaks loudly of these stupid pranks in public.
She had requested Alex to "spend time" with her in the grounds as a little picnic as its been weeks since they had become friends and wanted to celebrate their friendship. Little did the poor guy know what awaits him!
She keenly and carefully put a few dungbombs which she had collected from her home market place and dug a hole into the soil to put them. She made sure they were not visible from the outside. The dungbombs gave out foul odour when touched even slightly. She had to use magic in order to rub the odor off of herself.
She was well dressed. She wore a pink floral patterned dress which was white in colour except for the patterns and some accessories. Her hair was left open and she wore light make up to fool him well.
"Perfect!" she said as she checked the location and placement of the bombs once again. Her devious plan only awaited the arrival of Alex.
Ira put a red check mat on the floor, a picnic basket and some sandwiches and strawberry pastries. She didn't wear much ornaments only simple dangling earrings.
Ira could see standing some feet away from her designated 'picnic' area.
"Hey Alex! Come over!" she called out to him, giggling to herself as she wanted to see his stinky face.
To her great dismay it was in fact not Alex, rather another guy! He had dark black curls, a dashing atmosphere and rather Pale in complexion. He looked like Alex to Ira from behind.
Ira had mistakenly called out to the wrong person and as he turned around, she quickly realised her mistake.
"Wait no dont come!" she shouted and ran to stop him only to worsen the situation.
As soon as the guy turned around and took a step because of being suddenly called out, out of nowhere one of the dungbombs blasted on him and Ira trying to stop the others from bursting now she got herself caught up in a mess along with a stranger who might now be extremely furious at her. She could only imagine his anger to this foolish act. They were covered in dirt, soil, mud and stank of dung.
"Hey..um...I am sorry...Are you okay?" she asked in her most innocent tone and puppy eyes.

The sun wasn't blazing much, and the wind was nice, the weather even the most antisocial wouldn't want to avoid. And a certain Slytherin won't either. The boy was out, making his way to the corner edge of the Great Lake. But before he could, a voice interrupted him. Looking at the source, he saw a girl sitting on a mat. Noticing behind her at some distance, there was a tree, giving the shade near the edge of the water, a nice spot where he could relax and read his book. As he was making his way towards the spot, which was also towards the girl, she suddenly started screaming at him. what the . . . A loud voice, the smell of dung, and his blurry vision were all his senses could keep up with. "Was that a . . . Dungbomb?" he muttered to himself. His blood boiling, looking at the other person, his eyes cold and almost felt lifeless. One day. One day of calm and peace He wanted, but he couldn't even get that? He stood up, trying his best to remove mud from his clothes and bag. Walking towards the girl, looking down at her, he wanted to shout and swear at her. He might be furious right now, but the Slytherin was still forced to gulp down etiquette and manners for his breakfast. He took a deep breath, trying to keep his voice normal and low, "Was that. . . you?" |

Ira could hardly look at the boy's face out of embarrassment.Ira Ray______________________________________

"What the hell did you just got yourself into dummy!" she thought to herself.
His face was stern, almost like a statue. The calm on his face and voice as he asked her a question made Ira even more afraid. She definitely made him mad. Ira is used to getting into trouble but certainly not with a stranger.
"Well...you see I was supposed to meet my friend over here...Haha it seems like that dumbhead and you look alike from behind so I mistook you for him. Oh, I am not saying you are dumbhead...I mean he is one. Haha... I am extremely sorry! I swear it was all a set up for HIM!!"
She said with her puppy eyes and sorry face. Surely this will work out, right? I mean Ira never failed to conquer others through feigning her innocence. But god knows what happens, not everyone is the same after all and Ira has seen very little of the world.
Ira got up, brushing off all the dust and dung bomb residue from her floral dress and cursed Alex from her heart as she got up.
"Just you wait Alex Hughes Kavanagh, imma show you some real magic!" she muttered under her breathe, blaming Alex to be the cause of this mess.
She glanced at the boy standing in front of her and said, "Can I do something to compensate you? I cant do much but you can have my lunch over here! And oh, I have lots of chocolates do you want some?"
She had almost forgotten that he was in fact furious, she just smiled boldly and wanted to offer help. The stink from the dungbomb still there.

Must every single people tested his damn patient today?
To begin with, a boy around his age bumped onto him in the corridors this morning, so hard that his books fell down in front of other students while the boy scrambled away. Even after that, he's still calm and reserved because to be honest, that's not even the worse.
When he walked down the courtyard to go to the Great Lake, a group of slow walkers walked in front of him, laughing and giggling about Merlin knows what. 'Walk faster ye freakin' shite.' He thought to himself as he walked behind patiently. Mind you, he's known to always be on time but somehow the people in this damn castle had their own way to drag his schedule.
"Excuse me," Alex finally said with a quiet intensity before the group of students glanced back and gave him some space to walk. His eyes twitched at the action. Alex had been so focused on being so polite that he didn't bother to think about doing that sooner. Idiot. "For goodness sake." He sighed before continue on walking.
!
"Finally," Alex mutter to himself as he sees Ira from afar with a boy? Huh? Did he mistaken the date for the meet-up? He walks closer to the pair with a hand in his trousers pocket.
The closer he gets to them, Alex were greeted with unpleasant smell that made his brows knot together in disgust. "What's going on here?" Alex speak as he look back and forth between Ira and the other guy. "Ira Ray." He turn to Ira because the guy look like he's gonna burst in anger in any moment.

"Arin, patience is something you need to have if you want to control the magic inside you" A line his mother always reminded him whenever even a spark of magic did not go as he had learned to do. The wisdom was something he used not just in magic but in his daily life. Especially in a place full of teenage kids, where the chances of him losing his control and patience were much higher than anywhere else. And it was one of such moments. The girl tried her best to explain the situation, but the Slytherin was too done with it. He ignored her as she tried explaining, too focused on the smell and dirt on his grey pants. And the face she was making was more annoying than even the smell on himself. "Can you stop? It is annoying. And keep your chocolates to yourself," He did not mean to sound mean, but the words were already out, and he had no intentions of taking them back. If the embarrassment wasn't enough for him, another boy came their way. Probably the guy the girl was talking about. Looking at him, there was no way they looked the same. He muttered a few swear words before turning towards the boy, "Nothing interesting happening here," he said, glaring at the girl. Ira Ray. |

Ira was already super embarrassed of where this was going. The guy in front of her could pierce her soul with his deadly gaze. He looked so scary and angry that Ira could tell she had made a huge mistake of getting involved with him. Yet after all of it she believes anyone and everyone can be a friend. Everyone, right?Ira Ray______________________________________

"Hey I was just trying to be friendly okay? It was an accident!" she asserted as she was getting angrier by the second seeing how the boy did not understand her situation.
"I get it he is angry but whats with this attitude?! I said I am sorry!"
Just then the guy she set the trap for entered the scene. Alex Kavanagh.
"Oh great NOW he has to show up!" she rolled her eyes off at his arrival.
If it were not for the other guy Ira would have dug Alex's grave right there. She was furious her well organised and meticulously arranged prank got ruined because the man was late! He is usually never late, in fact he would be the first one to ever arrive in some sort of a meeting or a discussion. It had to be this very day when he shows up late!
"As you can see we are having great fun here." she said sarcastically, "Can't you read the room, Alex? This was...This was all a set up for you! And now THIS guy had to be a victim of it. Where were you all this time?!" she almost yelled at him but tried her best not to make a scene in front of a stranger as she had already embarrassed herself enough.

If Alex is being honest, how in Merlin's world is he supposed to know this prank was specially made for him? He can read his stacks of books for hours but never knows how to read a room. Plus, is she for real? He was so close to getting into detention the last time Ira pulled a prank on him.
Can't have a moment now, can he?
He let out a soft sigh at her question. "I'm in the dungeon, weeping after my grades." Alex says with his usual monotone. Obviously, he didn't do that. Never in his lifetime will he ever sob over his 'perfect' grades. When Alex sees Ira's confused expression, his eyes narrow slightly as if saying, 'Are you serious?' though he makes zero effort to say anything after that.
He almost stops breathing when the dungbomb odour strikes his nostrils again. "Tell me you aren't planning on hanging out with me without cleaning firsthand, are you? You stink, both of you." Alex rubs his nose and takes a step back as he looks at both of them. Don't blame him; this guy smells like his perfume never ran out. He makes sure of that.
"Hey, don't blame me. You're very persistent in keeping these not-so-consistent pranks running like a bored feline." He blurts out, as if feigning innocence. Alex then gazes over at the other guy, whose name he barely remembers. "Lad, you're the last person I'd ever expected to fall for this."

"If you want to do this to someone, do it in a private place, not out here." The Slytherin couldn't help but snap at the young girl. Sure, it was an accident, but Arin hated pranks to the core. And being the unintentional target of one is something he wasn't looking forward to. On top of that, letting a fellow Slytherin watch it happen made him never ever want to come across him again, out of pure embarrassment. If the situation wasn't enough for the Parselmouth, the comment on the smell pissed him off, too. Before he could make any comments, the girl almost yelled at the other boy. As if it were his fault. He was already starting to heavily dislike the girl. Rolling his eyes at her. He turned to the boy after being addressed, "If your friend here had not mistaken me for you, I would not be here." He said bitterly. At this point, he just wanted to leave and get the stink out of him. Standing here, thinking about what might be on him, made his skin shiver. Arin wouldn't call himself a clean freak, but he also hated not being perfect. Smelling like he was in a room full of shit was not perfect. He wished he knew the spell that would clean him up there and then, but the boy still needed more advancement. "If you got no more stink to spray, I would go and clean up," The boy said, definitely targeting the girl, as he decided to make his exit. |

Ira did not like being told what to do. Surely she wasn't the most perfect girl on earth but she had her pride, being lectured and looked down upon because she lacked skill, was something she loathed with a passion.Ira Ray______________________________________

"I can do pranks wherever I want! Not everyone has an attitude unlike a certain someone here." she said side eyeing the boy.
Alex was clearly making some lame excuses. Him, weeping? That too on grades? Unbelievable! Did he really think Ira will buy that? And he was looking down on her too. Alex is her best friend, he is supposed to support her no matter what, especially in front of another classmate. If it were not this situation, Ira would have ran after Alex, giggling and threatening to cover him with the smell of dungbomb. However such a thing was not possible right now.
Ira silently stood there while the boy finished whatever he had to say. He made it sound like it was an unforgivable crime she had just committed.
"Whats his problem? Its not like I cut off his limbs or anything!" she thought as she glared at the guy.
She didnt even care about the foul smell coming from herself or that Alex was standing there with a disgusted look even after being super late. She was so angry at the boy's remarks that she did not bother apologising anymore. Ira's pride was hurt and in such cases, her short temper often overrides her forgiving heart.
"Yes please do! Also try to clean up that nasty attitude of yours. Maybe that way you will learn to keep your arrogance down." she angrily remarked trying to look unbothered and keeping her calm which she was apparently failing at.

Normally, whenever a fight breaks out, Alex will retreat so he won't be involved with such nonsense that is happening but that'll be impossible for now. He watches the boy, then turns to Ira as they are replying to one another's remarks. What did he get himself into, Merlin. He takes a step forward, stopping them from fighting further.
"Alright, enough already." He sighs as he gazes over both of them. He was expecting a nice evening after a bunch of idiot were already tested his patience and not.. this. "You already apologised, didn't you? Then let the boy be." Alex mutters to Ira before turning to the boy. "She's just messing around, plus she did apologised to you."
Alex doesn't know if holding them back works much but he won't let them fight in front of his own eyes with all these stinky situations going on. His father always reminds him of what happens to people who fight with no purpose in resolving their cases.
He mentally thank god as he's not the one who got kissed by the darn dungbomb, or else he'd be freaking pissed and mostly overstimulated. "Well," Alex slips a hand in his trousers' pocket and takes the folded napkin to hand it to Ira. Good god, he couldn't stand the smell. "Use this, at least." He mutters under his breath.
" The lesson of history is that no one learns. "
