A lovely friend Pet

As I walked down the main road of Diagon Alley I steeled myself for the hopefully not embarrassing encounter with the shop owners. I was heading to the Magical Menagerie to grab some owl treats for a friend as she was sick so she couldn't. As I walked through the door the bell chimed, announcing my arrival. The smell of the animals hits me, I stumble back a little.

There are so many animals, from frogs to owls, to mice to lizards. I wander around, amazed, I'd never been here before. After a minute of wandering around I snap out of it and walk over to the owl area. I find the treats and walk to the counter, slowly. I wonder what it would be like to have a pet. Owls deliver letters, toads disgust people, cats give you pure love. As I near the counter I see a short old lady helping someone else at the counter. While I'm waiting in line I notice the lady is wearing a dress with flowers and a name tag that reads "Mrs. Witticker" on it. Soon the other person leaves so I go up to the counter. "Hello, how can I help you today?" says Mrs. Witticker. "I was hoping to get these owl treats for my friend's owl." I say. "Of course! Will that be all for you today, dear? I hesitate, is this all I want? Nothing more? "Actually, do you think you could take me to the area with the cats?" I say, shocked at my own words. "Of course! Come right along. But first... Do you want a sugar cookie?" "YES PLEASE." I quickly grab the cookie from her hand and stuff the whole thing in my mouth and eat it. 'To the cat area!" I say through a mouth full of cookie. As we walk I look at the selves that host animals' food, beds, medicines, and treats.

The cats surround me, walls are covered in cats in cages and some free roaming ones on the ground. There had to be at least 30 cats roaming around and up on the walls. There were orange cats, black cats, big cats, and small cats. "This is our selection of cats, dearie." There are so many cats! The amount of cats over whelmed me. "Do you have any recommendations for me?" I ask Mrs. Witticker. There is no way I could choose a cat on my own. With my luck I'd probably choose the cat the bites and scratches everyone. "Of course! Here we have this Silver Siberian, very energetic and lazy at the same time, and over here we have a Red Mackerel Tabby, very shy and... Any thing wrong dearie? She asked because I was staring at a cat that was sitting in a corner away from the other cats." "Are you looking at that Bengal cat?" And so I was, I had fallen in love with it. "Yes I am." I said as reached out to pet it. As I petted her she purred. "Wow, your the first one to pet her, she normally very shy." I look up, amazed, because she seems like such a chill cat. As I pet her I decide."Can I keep her?" I ask. "Of course, that will be 17 galleons! What are going to name her?" Mrs. Witticker asks on the way to the counter. "I think I'll name her Oak."

I walk out of the Menagerie with some owl treats and a cat. I can't wait to tell my friend what else I got at the Magical Menagerie.
