After the fireworks had gone off and the light had slightly blinded everyone, there were a couple of seconds of complete peace, during which nobody talked. But of course that did not last long.

@Alan Vanes was the first one to break the silence; worried for his first year Hufflepuff friend Jake Morris, he immediately jumped to his defence, asking Erin to let the young boy go, and wondering out loud what was even happening to everyone there.

@Jack Burnett tried to bring some peace in the chaos, as he explained his plan to the group in front of him. His idea was to shut down the Ball by releasing the bludgers and prevent any further disaster from happening, since lately between fires and spiders in common rooms the students had suffered a lot. He had asked Erin to help him since she knew where the bludgers were kept, hoping that releasing them might correct the mistake that the students that organised the ball did when they decided to go against the rules and endanger everyone. After that he proceeded to scold the prefects for not doing their job, since they should have been valuing the safety of the students above anything else, before he reassured everyone that Jake would have not been harmed.

Of course @Jack Warren didn't share Burnett's plan, and he made sure to tell him, while pointing out that if he was that against it he should not have come and instead he should have told the professors; then he concentrated on his badger friend, worried about him being passed out in Erin's arms.

Burnett of course quickly replied to the younger Hufflepuff prefect, saying that if he would have snitched to the professors, the organisers of the illegal ball wouldn't have learned their lesson, but if the bludgers were released it would have been a test to see how safe the ball actually was, and to see how they would have handled a crisis. But it wasn't just a test, it would have been a way to surprise whoever had started those fires in the common rooms or let the spiders in, throwing them off their feet and making sure that the students were ready to react against danger. After remarking that he was not dangerous, Burnett asked to the others if anybody else had something to say since, in his opinion, their time of action was limited and it was running low.

Worried for his little badger, @George Henry spoke up and demanded that Erin and Burnett to give Jake back to him, but then @Grace Mint agreed out loud with Burnett's plan, and George couldn't help but snap at her."Oh, go away oan yer trolley now! You're not even meant to be in the boys' room! What're you gonna do anyway, chase us 'round in your frilly dress? The bludgers'll knock off your pretty head if they come out!" He said, before realising that Grace actually could have helped his cause of giving the bludgers to Jake, so he apologised to her, his face as red as a tomato. The Ravenclaw girl didn't take well the way that George had talked to her, so she slapped him, apologising right after and saying that she didn't like when boys were rude to her.

As he pinched the bridge of his nose, it looked like @Quinn Healy had enough of Burnett's talking; standing up in his full height of 7'8". "Mr. Burnett I would appreciate it if you would respectfully shut up and actually think about your actions." he had started saying, before he continued in lecturing the Slytherin boy on how his plan would have only brought panic an fear among the students, and that the fear would have made them do anything in their power to make it go away; it would have made them paranoid, and they would not have trusted the Prefects anymore. Then, just as he declared that the violence and harm towards other students had to end, the half-giant grabbed and picked up Burnett, bringing him eye to eye with himself, only to then tell him not to go around and traumatise the students, and to start acting like one, a little threat hidden in his words, as he said that he would have kept an eye on him from that moment on. After that, he let the boy go and fall on the ground, as he hoped that Burnett would have listened to his words.

Jack Burnett, after he got back up from the floor, admitted that his plan was stupid, but that at least he had tried to do something to stop the ball, and that even though he didn't know that so many prefects would have taken part to the event, he would have expected them to report to the Professors about it, since it put the life of the students in danger. Then he explained to Quinn that he also thought that the Prefects should have spent more time training Warren not to use violence to resolve conflicts, rather than lecturing him on how wrong his plan was, before he announced he would have stopped going after the bludgers to join the event in the pitch.

While the whole discussion between Healy and Burnett was going on, George Henry hurried up to Jake and tried to reassure him, before asking him what was up with his sudden interest in the bludgers.

@Erin Ryan had been trying to back up Burnett while he argued with Warren, saying that the Prefects hardly protect the students anymore, that nobody seemed to notice that some students had been going missing in the last three years, if not for longer. Then, after stating that Jake smelled yummy and innocent and that he was her thing now, she ordered Grace to stand in Warren's way so that he wouldn't be able to leave with the bludgers box. But then, as Burnett and Quinn talked, the girl slowly realised that the guy she had thought was Paracelsus, was actually yet another imposer; that shocked her, making her hands and lips go numb, before she answered Henry's question about the bludgers and stating that she had no idea since she had only been asked to grab them. After that, she let go of Jake as she tried to handle the emotions she was feeling before she decided that she would have left the room.

@Oliver Hart listened to Erin as the girl apologised to him for bringing him into all of that and he shook his head, before he agreed on leaving with her; he was caught by surprise though when the girl told him to enjoy the ball, and he hurried after her to make sure that she would not leave the party yet.

Once Jake was safe again with George and Alan, who had hurried towards him and was now holding him up as he spoke to him in a clam and gentle way. , Quinn made sure to ask the fellow Hufflepuff student how the little badger was, worried for him, as both his voice and his posture went back to normal.

As all of this was going on, another Hufflepuff Prefect, @Annie Morgan had walked inside the boys' changing rooms, after a short break from the ball in the girls' one. Once her eyes caught a glimpse of the poor little Jake on the floor, her mother instinct kicked in and she walked up to Quinn. "What the bloody hell is happening, I came back from the dance and walk into the changing rooms only to hear yelling and see Jake on the floor, has something bad happened again?" She asked, as she wondered what the bludgers had to do with all of the chaos that was going on in the room.

Warren of course pointed out how many girl there were now in the boys' locker room, questioning whether they knew the meaning of "boys' locker room".

Burnett, after a last chat with Haley about Warren, made sure to point out that Erin knew that she would have been going inside the boys' changing room, but that she had done that only to help the Slytherin boy with his plan. Then, irritated at Warren and himself, he headed out of the door, leaving the changing room behind him as he hurried after Erin.

But what about @Jake Morris, what had happened to him during all of this mess?

After the loud and bright explosion of the fireworks, the young badger was ready for the worst to come, trembling against Erin; but when the end did not come, he felt his body relax a little bit, even though he was still panicked. He listened to everything that was going on around him, from Burnett and Warren arguing, to Quinn's words, to George demanding him back. Erin's voice in his ear terrorised him as tears rolled down his eyes, he didn't know who or what had grabbed him; then, suddenly, he found himself into Alan's arms, his voice asking him gently if he could stand up, but he couldn't. The third year Gryffindor, together with George helped him sitting down on a bench, and when he finally had his beloved Freddie back in his arms, Jake felt like he could breath again. The voice in his head was quiet again, even though he didn't know how long that would have lasted, and he took the opportunity to allow his body to relax some more as he leaned against Alan. He didn't feel like he was able to answer all of the questions they were asking him, but when Alan asked what had happened the little badger had tried to explain them about the voice, but in the end he gave up, certain that they would have not believed him. Then, Jake talked directly to George, and begged him and Alan to go back to the castle; he wasn't feeling well, and he could feel that something bad was about to happen.

"We should all go. Something is gonna happen. I know it is, please,"

The young badger wasn't wrong.

Because once all of the chaos seemed to have quieted down, a weird atmosphere filled both of the changing rooms.

The music coming from the pitch area suddenly stopped, just as the magic candles, still surrounded by their protective bubbles, had started to flicker, casting creepy and ominous shadows all over the walls and floor. The light slowly started to get fainter and fainter, the candles gradually dying out for no apparent reason; only a couple of them didn't completely blow out, even though their small glow was in no way big enough to cast any kind of light around the room.

Whoever was still in the changing rooms would find themselves immersed in complete darkness, and if they were to head outside and glance at the inside of the pitch, all they would be able to see would be just an immense sea of blackness, a distant buzzing sound echoing through the dark.

OOC Note
Please keep in mind the following information as your characters react to the above information.
  • There is typically only one action allowed per round (any attempts at more may or may not decrease chances of success)
  • Speech is a free action and dodging is a wasted action (it gives you no boost to evading, which is an automatic response to being attacked)
  • All spells must be cast as attempts. General spells will be determined with a Wisdom roll, combat spells will be Accuracy vs Evasion.
  • If you want to move to a different ball thread, it will take an action to do so. This means you must make two posts for this one action: leaving this area and entering the next (if you are currently in between areas, please assume you are in the area that you said you were going to). Because this counts as an action, once you arrive at your destination, you may not do anything of significance (no spell casting, no attempting to do anything that would count as a second action).
  • The next moderation will be happening here on Tuesday.
  • Do not metagame! There may be more/less information in the thread you are in compared to the other ball threads. Try not to use information outside of this thread to influence your character's decisions.

In the chaos, the disembodied voice was nothing more than white noise for the youth. There was no way the voice knew that the girl would grab Jake Morris and hold him hostage. That the ever-present threat of bodily harm was not truly gone. Under the deafening boom of his heartbeat, the voice would some back.

"Jake..."

"JAKE!"

The voice had not left him. A voice that only he could hear.

"Jake, run!"

The voice repeated the same sentiment once again. This demand. This quiet urgency. Only this time, he was in complete and utter darkness and the request changed.

"They cannot see you."

The disembodied voice reasoned.

"They cannot find you."

A sentiment of reason that might have left the young man feeling safer had it not been for the fact that he could not even find himself. It was inky black in there. A feeling of being all alone despite the noise, yes the terrible noise not just in his head but the panic in his friends and in his peers.

"This is your chance. Leave them and run!"

Leave what? Leave who? His friends of course. The very people that have been protecting him all along. They were brave and they are strong. They would be fine.

"You'd be but a burden to them if you stay."

The boy that curled up into a ball at the first sign of danger. Who had the instinct of woobie.

"Leave now, don't let them follow you."

It was the mask making a demand of him once again. This time not to release the bludgers and create chaos, the darkness brought on the chaos for him. This was his chance, his time to flee. But to where.

"Return to the castle! Find safety in your warm bed.

There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

The girl with purple hair would only release Jake on her own terms. She knew how to handle a hostage. It made sense, considering that each word out of her mouth made her sound crazier than the last. Her ramblings were as amusing as they were deranged. Jack Warren didn't have the social skills required to have a conversation that didn't involve punching, let alone maintain a disguise for any amount of time, and the idea that Quinn was a cannibal was so hilarious that George would later consider repeating it as fact. He couldn't help but smile at how proud the girl looked when Green Jack called her his 'charming companion'. They were all just kids acting like grown-ups, as serious as things had seemed a moment ago, and it wasn't like the girl was going to kill Jake. The baby badger had wanted the bludgers, anyway.

His amusement was doused by a few odd behaviours from the scary, pretty girl. She was smelling Jake like he was fine dining, keeping the little badger held tight. George approached anyway, though he backed off a step when Erin swatted at him, his footwork light and graceful like a fencer's as he managed his distance. When he leaned in to ask Jake a question, Erin spoke back, much to George's surprise.

She... didn't have a clue? She was willing to take a hostage just because she'd been asked nicely? My, she was a girl worthy of Hufflepuff colours with that level of faith in her friends. And he smelled weird, too? George accepted Jake from the girl, giving him a quick hug to try and pull him back to reality. He smelled the younger boy's hair and let go, worried that a prolonged hug might urge the little one to cry. He couldn't smell anything, but perhaps the girl had a more keen nose. George grumbled to Jake. "Can you at least use soap the one time I take you to a ball?"

Then the girl swore, and George looked up, worried she might strike again. But she wouldn't. She was crying. She rubbed her ugly necklace and scurried off, crying. In other circumstances, George would have offered his sympathy, but these were not other circumstances.

"He's fine," George assured Quinn, without checking. More people were swarming - a girl Hufflepuff, likely attracted by the subsonic frequencies at which Jake cried. They always buzzed around him when he got upset. No wonder he acted like such a baby. It worked for him. Alan closed in, too, asking poor, precious Jake what had happened. Trying to make everything all better. Just asking him to calm down was a bad move. Never worked. "Nothing bad is happening! You say the word bludger in a quidditch pitch and everyone freaks out!"

George, too, was freaking out. His face was red - embarrassed and angry and upset all at once, furious that his chance for a normal ball had been ruined. He felt ugly in his clothes, mistaken for a girl. Jake was predictably upset. Everyone could see the makeup left on George's face. He looked like some kind of sad clown. What would it take to get everyone to shut up so he could have one good dance?

Grace slapped him. George looked down at the small Ravenclaw girl, blinking incredulously. He rubbed his sore cheek, staring daggers down at her. He spoke with an eerie calm. "I don't think you're pretty, I think you're mental. Get out of the boy's room."

Jack Burnett had the audacity to continue acting righteous after tearing through the changing room like a hurricane. George's sudden calm snapped, and he shouted after Burnett as the boy departed. "Look, you made your charming companion cry! And don't worry, everyone agrees this is YOUR FAULT!"

Things were returning to equilibrium with the loudest of the interlopers gone, but there was still one person standing in his way, stopping him from having the fun evening that this was supposed to be. Jake Morris was tugging on George's arm, pleading incessantly. He wants to go home. He wants to go home. He wants to go home. "Shut up!"

But the silence that followed was too silent. The music stopped. Jake was right. Something was wrong and they had to go. Even after snapping at the young badger, George muttered an apology and clutched tight on Jake's arm, refusing to let him go.

"I'm sorry," he muttered, his voice choked as inky blackness descended on the room. This was a familiar routine for George. He needed to have a routine for this kind of thing at this awful school - it was the only thing that kept him sane. Step one was already done; Jake had Freddie with him. All he needed now was his nightlight. George reached down to his belt and wiggled his wand free from where it had been stuck, holding it out in the dark and swishing it in a practiced motion.

Most of the people who were fighting and discussing mere moments ago were gone now and quiet would have returned, if it wasn't for Jake's crying and whining and the sound of a slap that echoed through the room. Alan twisted his head around after making sure that Jake sat down correctly and wouldn't just fall off the bench. His eyes searched for George and when he saw the angry red print of a hand on his pale cheek, his eyes snapped towards the girl. "Why the heck would you do that?!", he asked in shock, even more shocked to speak it so fluently. His eyes narrowed at the girl and he nodded at George's words. "Th-This is the b-boy's locker room, you sh-shouldn't be here. W-Excuse me f-for my language b-but th-this isn't b-being rude, th-this is you b-being a pervert wh-who c-can't differ b-between the boys a-and girls r-rooms-", he huffed out. How dare she hit George? Sure the Hufflepuff hasn't been very nice in the way he spoke but he was right; the girl did not belong into the boy's locker room!

Jake began to plead and beg to just go back to the castle already, which would pull Alan back to the present as he turned towards the smaller badger. The situation seemed to be getting out of hand again, when George snapped at Jake, only to apologize right away and then... darkness and quiet. Weird. What happened? It was dark... completely dark! "W-Well you, g-girl, should probably st-stayhere n-now; wh-whatever is g-going on is n-not right...", he muttered, as he tried to make out any shapes for orientation, before taking his wand from the leather holster around his hip. She should not be wandering off alone now. "Lumos!", he muttered as he drew the required movement into the darkness, in the hopes to spend a bit of light to regain his sense of sight.

Slapping each other, throwing around spells - it wall all too much for Jo to handle, and besides, there was no reason for her to stay any more, risking her own safety just to throw in a couple more words for the sake of spite. Noone had even noticed when she snuck back to her corner to watch the fight go down, although everything was becoming just a bit too dangerous for her liking. It wasn't even the good kind of danger - there was no honor in facing it; only detention and a few bruised bones.

The boys seemed to have moved on to ganging up on and bullying some Ravenclaw girl. To be frank, Jo was slightly tired of trying to fight or defend people, so when the boy called the Ravenclaw a pervert, she decided to ignore all the verbal sparring even though it would have normally annoyed her enough to step in. Jack's girlfriend was already in the room when Jo entered and she had been far too stressed out to even care what room she had run into, but oh well. She wasn't a part of this fight, and that was probably all for the better.

"Would all of you please stop fighting?" She called out from the corner in vain. "Yeah, yeah. Bet you all forgot I was here." Jumping to her feet, she brushed some crumbs off of her dress. "Don't mind me, I'll be off in a moment. I just came to hide until a couple of idiots left the party." It was impossible to tell if the idiots in question had left, but there was far more drama here than could be found literally anywhere else. To think she had come here to not be disturbed! Of course, it was her who had incited the fight with Jack, but she had no idea that Jack was involved in such weird activities.

Suddenly, the lights went out. "Well? Which one of you did that?" she snapped angrily, growing increasingly frustrated with all the bickering going on. A couple of voices murmured wand-lighting charms, and Jo curtly thanked both of the boys (@Alan Vanes @George Henry) as she clambered to her feet and tiptoed to the door, peering outside.

"Oh... oh dear. They're all out. Everywhere."

She turned to face the students in the changing room, all too ready to voice their collective fear.

"There's something terribly wrong."

No, no, that wouldn't do. Everyone knew that already. Was there any way she could be of use? Merlin knew she had already intruded on the boy's room enough.

Maybe...maybe I should go outside and see what's happening. I hope everyone's alright."

Still, she lingered at the door - too afraid to venture out into the darkness of the Quidditch Pitch, but hesitant to stay behind lest she become entangled in a fight she hadn't asked to join.
Action: Jo lashes out at the group when the lights go out, but then offers to exit to the Pitch to check on what is happening.

Slade was excited, he was looking forward to having some fun and blowing off some steam, and meeting some new people. As he walked towards the exit, he did a little hop skip, and landed back on his feet. He placed his hands on his hair, and started to fix it a bit to make sure it was all good, he didn't want it to be sloppy as that would be poor taste, and enjoyed looking good. There were kids doing the same and some still getting dressed up, and applying any final touches that needed to be done. He noticed a gathering happen as well, seemed like some kids were arguing as he walked by, there were some boys and girls standing and arguing...…." What the.... Why was there girls in the boys changeroom?" this was all a bit weird. And it also seem a bit heated, he noticed one boy crying, and a girl trying to console him, who Slade recognized as @Jo Morgan she's in the same year and one of the smartest kids in Gryffindor. He noticed no one was getting physical or shooting magic of any kind so he kept walking.

He was about fifteen feet away from the exit when he felt something rush past him. A boy was running, what seemed like as fast as he could out the exit toward the pitch. When a flash and a loud "BANG" went off. Slade hit the floor covering his ears, the flash strained his vision, he tried to focus his eyes, squinting, "What the heck was that? It doesn't seem like a spell that I had learned this year. In fact it sounded like a fire cracker!"

He heard the sounds of students yelling, his ears still ringing from the loud bang that went off, so he couldn't quite make out was going on. It sounded angry and heated yet again, Slade was confused as to what was happening here, he just wanted to have a good night out, make some new friends and boogey on the dance floor. Finally making his way up off the floor he looked around to see if anyone else was hurt, still a bit strained, but now coming back in to focus, the group he saw from before seemed to be going at each other now. He couldn't believe what was happening here, he thought this was suppose to be a celebration, a fellowship amongst students, but here they were fighting amongst each other, he didn't care what it was for, but figured it be best to get out of this toxic area.

He heard someone shouting "Would all of you please stop fighting?" and saw @Jo Morgan calling from the corner, "Yeah, yeah. Bet you all forgot I was here." he watched as she got up, dusting herself off. "Don't mind me, I'll be off in a moment. I just came to hide until a couple of idiots left the party." Wondering who the idiots in question were, Slade concerned for his fellow Gryffindor started walking toward her to see if everything was ok. As he was walking up the lights went out. Dark as the night sky he heard her call out again "Well? Which one of you did that?" he noticed the frustration and the anger in her voice. When some voices called out spells to luminate the area, and had noticed her walking past him toward the door to look out

He walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder, "Hey, are you ok? My names Slade by the way Slade Deol! What the heck is going on here?" As he looked out the door with her, he noticed that it was dark all over the area. What exactly is going on here?

There were several things Jo expected to happen at any moment. To be angrily told to leave the boys' changing room, sure. To be completely ignored, maybe. To watch the lights flicker on and breath a sigh of relief, a little bit. To be eaten by some horrific monster and realize far too late that all of this secret ball nonsense was a trap to lure magical children to their deaths, completely.

But she certainly hadn't expected for a hand to reach towards her and, instead of ripping her face off grabbing her by the throat, gently and cordially tap her on the shoulder. The witch whipped her head around in barely a millisecond, absolutely bewildered at both her continued existence and the unexpected but not painful physical contact.
"Hey, are you ok? My names Slade by the way Slade Deol! What the heck is going on here?"
In the dim room, Jo could just make out the outline of the boy who had spoken to her. He looked strong and athletic - good. Perhaps he would be able to help if physical danger were to come to the group in any way. In a way, the naivety of the boy almost made her smile - as if this was the perfect time for introducing oneself. However, the Gryffindor found herself as flattered as she was embarrassed that he had taken notice of her ungraceful tumble to the floor after the loud noise had startled her. (At least, she believed that was the cause of his concern for her, for otherwise she was physically fine and more than ready to start swinging fists and blasting away at any threat that came her way. Her worrying zeal for battling eldritch horrors that were far beyond her ability did not translate well into a similar enthusiasm for communicating with her fellow humans, however, so she found herself forced to take a long pause before speaking.

"Well...um. Hello, Slade!" The girl mustered her remaining strength and managed a wobbly, half-hearted smile, which she hoped would excuse her awkwardness. "I guess this isn't really the best time for making friends, but it'll do. Yes, I'm perfectly alright, and my name's Jo. Er...Jo Morgan. More importantly, it looks like all the lights have gone out - in the pitch, too, not just here. I wasn't paying attention, but before the lights went out there was a fight. Um, people were talking about Bludgers. Releasing Bludgers, I think. One of the girls was yelling something like, 'I thought we were gonna let the Bludgers go' or something. I don't really know," she said, referring to @Grace Mint. "I hope they don't actually do that - it might have been funny if the lights were on, but it's way too dangerous now. Besides, I'm not sure everyone brought their wand. I mean, it's a ball, after all. People don't expect to have to defend themselves, from bludgers or anything."

Turning abruptly away from the entrance, she spoke loudly.

"Does anyone know what's happening?"

Knowing even before the silence answered her that as an outsider to the bludger prank she would be ignored, she raised her voice (something she had gotten quite used to in the past couple of weeks).

"I said, does anyone know what's going on? I won't be tattling to any professors. I think we're beyond that now. But if something's wrong, maybe I..." She glanced at Slade, allowing herself a moment to ponder the possibility of him actually being a part of the prank, before deciding to take a leap of faith regarding his intentions. "Maybe I can help, or Slade...if he wants to, that is."

[font="Monotype Corsiva"]There was so much happening at once, despite things beginning to quiet down. It was starting to overwhelm Quinn especially when another prefect came Annie. What's with all the girls barging into the boy's locker room!? You don't see the boys doing that in the girl's. That was besides the point, it appeared as though things were finally beginning to qui-

A strange feeling hit Quinn, and before he could even ponder a second further darkness hit. It was all encompassing and eerie. Quinn didn't like this, but furthermore on top of not being able to see his heart began to race. He had come here because of Nico, where was she? Was she on the pitch would she be in the stands? He didn't know he couldn't see but all he knew right now was that nothing else mattered but making Nico safe. He was late as is all things considered.

Ignoring everything and everyone Quinn with his massive size would fumble, and stumble his way out of the changing rooms. He had a decision though should he check the stands or pitch first. It would be difficult he couldn't see worth a damn and he also refused to use his magic. He had tried so many times before, and so often did it fail him when he needed it. No Quinn would rely on himself if he could help it. So hopefully not running into anyone or anything he exited the changing rooms and headed for the stands.

He would check there and than the pitch itself. Less stumbling that way and hopefully he might be able to notice something from that great height but that was doubtful. Hopefully his friends would forgive his selfish behavior. He would understand if they didn't...

Jack had foolishly thought that the danger had passed; he was supremely wrong. Bludgers flying around like a menace without wings should have been the most of the boy's concerns. However, Jack was standing beside his best friends, one of which is having a minor breakdown(@Jake Morris), while the other is having a significant freakout at the one who is having a minor breakdown(@George Henry).

Jack's attention had been drawn to his littlest friend as he rambled on about how they needed to leave. Something terrible would happen, he said. "Jake, all of the bad things are over-" That's when a certain sour somebody decided to snap out towards the little boy. Jack glared at George. How dare he snap at that boy yell at his little padawan that way! Jack took a few steps over to George to slug him in the arm. Another girl, suddenly, had popped up out of nowhere, claiming that people had forgotten she was there! (Which was true, but still). Jack's mind was still slightly preoccupied with trying to take care of his littlest badger.

As if at Jack's punch and the girl's random outburst had scared away the lights. Everything thing went to an ominous black. Darkness permeated around them. The sudden night only brought a sense of unease for the young Hufflepuff prefect. Pulling the cherrywood wand from his jacket pocket, Jack sighed. "Honestly, I have no clue about what's going on," He answered Jo, "but knowing this stupid school- it probably isn't gonna be a surprise party with puppies and rainbows." Before he could take any more action, an overly large boy rushed right past him- "Annie!? Did Quinn just leave us here in the dark?" Aside from his query, Jack raises his wand knowing that he should most likely prepare for the worst.
Action: Be snarky, then prepares his wand for the worst.
