Ruaidhrígh was born on Litha (June 21), in the year 2008 in Dubhghaill Castle near the city of Dublin in Ireland. His father was Llewellyn O'Dubhghaill, a nobleman in the courts of the British Royal Family, and his mother was Dalia Lindberg, the daughter of a German Count. He comes from a long line of powerful druids, his father even claims descendence from Merlin himself. Though this is likely not accurate as his father likes to embellish the truth.
He is an only child, and as such his parents pushed him in his studies and in his extracurricular activities. He spent most of his time exploring the forests and nature around the castle. He grew very fond of the animals that visited the grounds of the castle.
He had a number of cousins on both sides of his family, being in England he was much closer to his father's side. He and his parents would make several trips a year to visit her family in Germany. They were all students at Durmstrang, and while he never got to visit the castle he heard all sorts of stories about it.
His first signs of magic happened when he was 6 years old, he was helping his parents in the kitchen and when he was unable to reach the cookbook on the counter, he levitated. His parents were relieved that he finally showed signs of magic, the prospect of raising a squib would have disappointed them greatly. Now they had someone to share the wonderful world of magic with.
