He had something that those that grew up in wealth would never be able to learn. Whether it be for better or for worse. The constant thirst to reassure others that you are meant to be in the position you are in. Growing up with plenty of people doubting him, it was a habit that formed and will likely never leave him. Fearing that he would one day open his eyes and wake up with sweat slicked skin from heat, dust particles in the air, and his aching limbs from sleeping on the only available spot on the floor of the 1 bedroom he shared with 7 other siblings. Material things soothed him in the sense, even if oftentimes he tries to tell himself it's unnecessary.
So as a few weeks passed, and he was handling his now new occupation of babysitting brats - er pardon - guiding students through their formative educational years, he had the idea of making a portrait of himself. Purebloods did it all the time after all. Not to mention the students would not be seeing him a lot. He has yet to open his office for visitors, and his only appearance would be the mandatory events. A picture would be a wonderful word to get the word around that Headmaster Sako is not playing around, and neither should the students.
Hearing an expected knock on his office door, he strode to open it. " Oh.. hello there " He greets whom he assumed to be the painter, in English. " Are you the painter I've been expecting to see today?"

Kit traveled a lot for his work even after he had become a proprietor. He still enjoyed painting magical portraits for people even though he had earned enough to become more than a just mere magical portrait painter. There was something about getting to know an art subject so intimately that one could imbue a bit of them into their portrait to make them act and talk and sound like them that really enchanted the muggleborn metamorphmagus. So when he had heard that Mahoutokoro had managed to obtain a new headmaster who was interested in having a magical portrait done, he jumped on the opportunity to offer his services and was delighted when it was accepted. This was especially due to the fact that Japan was one of his favorite countries.
Though Kit had been to Japan before, much of the wizarding world aspect of it was still a great mystery to him, so being allowed to learn more about it as well as his art-model-to-be was a great honor. He wasn't confident in his Japanese enough to think himself fluent, but he thought he understood enough words to make attempts to speak bits and pieces in order to make it easier for his host to understand him. He doubted his American English was very pleasant for the Japanese headmaster to converse with him in or even hear, especially when he much preferred the sound of Japanese words himself.
"Hello. Konnichiwa," Kit greeted back in English as well as Japanese. The thing was, as a genderfluid metamorphmagus, Kit sometimes liked to change his appearance to match what he felt like and right then 'he' felt more like a 'she', so he presented himself to Kotoka Sako as female-appearing. "Hai, yes, I am the painter you had an appointment with today. Sorry, my Japanese isn't very good, but I'll try my best. It's a pleasure to meet you, Sako-sama," Kit said, bowing.

A lovely face, he noted. One that could make his grandparents weep for if he brought her home to them. Quite the face you could spot easily in any crowd, he guessed. The lady was taller (not that it mattered to him), with warm toned skin and a unique mismatch of colours on her face. He wasn't quite sure which shade of eye colour to focus on between the bright blue and familiar dark obs. The lighter shade seemed to compliment what looked like..blue paint? -streaked across her cheekbones. Meanwhile her tan skin complimented her dark orbs. This person gave one quite a lot to look at, didn't they? As most foreigners tend to do. While he wasn't above making snide subtle comments on that choice of appearance, Sako knew too well that he was often the victim of such charm.
He wasn't surprised to hear the attempt at Japanese leaving her lips. Foreigners often did that, though he didn't get why it was necessary. His English should be exemplary there was no need to remind him of their weak Japanese proficiency. His silent question was answered shortly after, in which he followed with a light laugh, continuing to speak in English. " There is no need to fret, I could speak English just fine. I think. But you're more of an expert at the language than me, so really I'm sorry, my English isn't as fluent as I'd like. "
Not a total lie. There may be the tiniest accent he couldn't yet quite shake off when speaking in English that prevented people from assuming he was born and raised in a dominant English speaking country. He extends a hand and a smile . "Kotoka Sako..pleasure to meet you. And you are...?"
