Very First Friend
The Great Hall was buzzing with noise of chattering, plate and utensils clinking, and the occasional whoosh of flying owls. I was on the wooden benches of the Ravenclaw table and focused on the crisp paper of my first-year timetable while eating, trying to root myself in something familiar. I sat on the right long bench of Ravenclaw table, my back was facing the back of Gryffindor students.
The Gryffindor table was right behind mine, and I could hear the commotion from the group of Gryffindor students directly behind me. I started studying my timetable again and pushed my pumpkin juice aside to make sure no soup dripped into it. My head was still spinning from seeing the castle when the person directly behind me on the adjacent bench twisted around to face my table and holding a plate full of sandwiches. She introduced herself as Anne Brown with that excited smile on her face.
I stared at her, taken a little aback by her friendly introduction. Her vibrant, outgoing personality alleviated a bit of my anxiety. I set my timetable down and returned her smile, feeling a little relieved. "I-I’m Maeve" I introduced myself as I look at her in curiosity.

Olivia woke up after a good night sleep at her dorm. It was very cozy just how she liked it. For the first time ever Olivia was excited to wake up in the morning. She was never an early bird. She knew today she is going to meet so many people. She brushed her teeth got changed and went to the great hall for Breakfast.
As she walked into the great hall she saw that there were so many food items on the tables. She had assumed that they had so many food yesterday because of the sorting ceremony.
"Bloody hell this is so damn awesome"
Olivia went and sat down on a table not realising that you are supposed to sit on your house table. She talked with many students the night before but her hunger wanted her to sit anywhere and devour her Breakfast.
Olivia started feasting on the beautifully prepared feast. She was sitting next to another student. She had a first year's time table with her. Olivia was eager to ask her about the time tables and where she had got them. Olivia surely received her's but her clumsiness probably lost it. She peaked at the time table to see that there was so many intresting classes.
Olivia knew about hogwards as her parents were also students at hogwards. But with all the muggle homework and ruling breaking she had to do she didnt really have time to discuss how hogwards life would be like with her parents.
Just as Olivia opened her mouth to talk to the girl some one spoke from behind. She introduced her self as Anne Brown to the girl sitting next to me. And the girl introduced her self back. Her name is Maeve.
"such a unique name"
Olivia thought. She didnt like how common her name was she wanted her name to be unique. Just as unique as her.

Very First Friend
Anne was walking down the Gryffindor table when she saw that there wasn’t a single spot left for her. This seemed strange, but she walked over to the Ravenclaw table without hesitation. Anne was starving, so, she didn’t really care where she sat, as long as she got her food.

As she was nearing, she saw a spot right beside a girl who seemed like her own age. Anne walked up closer to her and decided to introduce herself. “Hello. Mind if I sit here? I’m Anne by the way. Anne Brown.” She said with a smile on her face.
As the girl introduced herself, Anne found her name beautiful. “Nice to meet you Maeve.” She responded. “So, is that your timetable?” Anne said looking at the paper the girl had just set down. “I really hope we don’t get that much homework on the first day. My attention span just can’t deal with hours unending, doing a bunch of studying. What about you?” She continued, trying to start a conversation. She hated it when she failed to do so. So, she didn’t want things to get too awkward on her first day.
But then, she noticed another girl sitting right beside Maeve, looking at them. “Did I interrupt a conversation? I’m sorry. Well, I can’t go anywhere else but my name is Anne anyways.” She said looking at the girl.

Said the girl looking at Olivia.
Olivia froze. She is indeed interrupting her. Interrupting her and her conversation with the Maeve that was happening in Olivia's mind. Other than that Anne really wasnt interrupting her. Olivia liked conversations more the better. But in this moment she didnt know how to reply. But Olivia kept her cool.
"Yes You are! You are interrupting this romantic moment between me and this delious pumpkin soup. It was just starting to get serious too."
Olivia said teasingly . Somehow she managed to get both Maeve and Anne laugh with that.
"Well My apologies"
said Anne.
"My name is Olivia. Nice to meet you both. And yes Anne I accept your apology."
Maeve Introduced herself to Olivia and questioned why she hasnt seen her in Ravenclaw Dorms. That is when she realised. She is sitting at the wrong table. No wonder there were less familiar faces in the table.
"Ops I am supposed to be in the hufflepuff table. I was just so hungry I forgot that exist."
They laughed again. Anne went and sat next to Maeve.
"Anyways how was your first night at hogwards? Did any of you have trouble sleeping? I heard we have curfew at 9pm. Its way too early. Night is the best time to explore hogwards."
