A péistín*, I am sure I have taught you better than this. Play-fighting is dangerous—even with sticks, especially with magic. You are lucky neither of you were hurt. Duelling, as you know, should be reserved for organized, supervised sparring or self defense, and for good reason. If you need more good reasons, I will tell you stories of it going wrong. I hope you take your responsibilities as a representative and leader of your House team much more seriously in the future.

I know Orin did not get detention, but I have sent him an owl reminding him of duelling safety and common sense, too. And may this be the last we discuss it!

I hope the best for you in the rest of your term and your first year exams. Your grandad and I have missed you very much while you are away learning to be a great witch. We look forward to seeing you this summer.
