Rosie said she hadn't seen the viaduct yet. "Oh, you should definitely check it out, maybe we could go together.", I said. She hoped I'd have fun at herbology, and added that it was her favourite subject. I replied, "Well, herbology is fine usually, except when I spot any insects, or when we're required to deal with insects. I'm insectophobic, you see. Insects always freak me out, including butterflies. I know a lot of people like butterflies, and I agree they're pretty, especially in pictures, but seeing them for real scares me."
For my question about secret passageways, she said she'd never heard of them, or found any. I said,"Well then, let me tell you about them. Hogwarts is filled with tons of secret passageways. Some lead out of hogwarts all the way to Hogsmead. Some are passages inside hogwarts, leading from one room to another. They're usually hidden behind paintings, or tapestries, or have some trigger to open them: a loose tile or floorboard, pulling a book out, shifting some articles like a vase or smth. My mum told me about it, but ofcourse I wanted to find these on my own."
She further added about coming across a strange room on some floor, where a door suddenly opened. I wasn't entirely sure, but I think I knew which room she came across. I replied enthusiastically, "Ohh, I think you came across the Room of Requirements. It's on the fifth floor. The room will show you whatever you're in need of at the moment. Walking back and forth across the corridor will usually open the room. "
Millard said that he was really good and navigating the castle. He said he knew all the shortcuts. "Ohh really! That's really cool Millard. Maybe you could show me a few.", I added eagerly.
To Millard's question abt why we were in the courtyard, Rosie said that she was going to the Trophy room and got a bit lost, and ended up here. "Ohh, that must be frustrating, but don't worry. Besides if you hadn't gotten lost, you wouldn't have met us."
Both of them agreed with me on History being tiring. Millard said that we could feel the people here before. "Yes, I agree. We even have literal ghosts at hogwarts.", I added giggling. Rosie said she found it more interesting than muggle history. "Haha, that's for sure."
Both Rosie and Millard said they were Muggleborns. I replied gleefully, "That's so cool guys. I'm a half-blood. My mum's a witch, and dad's a muggle. So, I've got exposure of both worlds. I've even been to muggle school. It must've been surprising to you guys when you found out you were wizards. How was your experience in the beginning of school? It must've taken quite a while to settle in."

Millard finally snapped out of it. Dazed? Sure. Heavily confused? 100% percent. He felt a bit bad for missing so much of Rosie and Avery's conversation (judging by the fact they were looked more comfortable with each other).
Millard had caught Avery asking about his experience at the beginning of the school year. Well, his was......hectic. Missed classes, tardies, accidentally skipped meals. Oh, that time he got locked out the common room because he forgot the password.
But there was also some good among that chaos. Whenever Millard got lost, a portrait would help him find his way. Whenever he missed a class, he'd spend his time exploring the castle, running his hand along the walls. Sometimes, he'd spend hours looking at old photographs, yearbooks, or looking at old trophies in the Trophy Room.
Millard loved looking at year books especially. He loved seeing people who attended Hogwarts years ago. Sometimes he'd imagine what their lives would be like.

Hey, amazing people! So sorry it's taken me so long, exams and trips have taken over my life, but I'm free again! And Millard, you're completely fine! And by the way Avery, we aren't allowed to use shorthand I don't believe(such as 'smth')!
"That would be so much fun!" she said, in response to Avery's offer of going to the Viaduct together. As she listened to the girl continue to share about her insectophobia, she felt bad. She herself had trypanophobia, the intense fear of needles, but she was glad it wasn't as common as insects.
"That's a bummer, I'm so sorry for you. I get that though, pictures are sometimes better than seeing it for real." she said. Seeing any needles, whether real or in a picture, she felt like she was going to throw up and faint.
Avery then shared about the secret passageways within the school, and Rosie listened to what she said intently. They sounded very interesting, and she would probably have to go and check them out eventually... of course, once she could manage to walk anywhere without getting lost.
"So that's what it's called! Makes so much sense, thank you!" she said, happy that Avery had been able to identify the room Rosie'd found.
"That's so true! I guess it worked out well for me today!" she said to the comment about her directional inabilities being the reason that she was able to meet them both.
"Well, both of my parents are muggles, and I lived my entire life believing the random little magical things that flare up as a young witch ages were things wrong with me. Then, I got told about my being part of the Wizarding World, and the rest is history! I'm loving school so far, and getting to exercise my magic." Rosie said, remembering the day that her life had changed, not so long ago.
"I'm sure it was, Millard!" she said in reply to him calling his experiences so far diverse, which she thought to be a very accurate word for the situation.
