Wham! The bludger connected with Della's bat with a satisfying crack. It flew right toward the dummy and hit it squarely in its squishy torso. Maybe there was beater potential in the Gryffindor broom racer after all. But she had to remember this would be a lot harder if the targets were moving.

Now that her stress had been slightly dissipated, Della felt inspired. Maybe she could take a crack at quidditch's all-star position. She always thought finding a snitch couldn't be that hard. She left her bat at the beater stations and gently floated her way over to where a group of students was mostly slowly swooshing through the air, their necks craned toward the sky.

Della hoped her long limbs and tall stature would give her an advantage here. Normally, seekers had to be small and evasive, but there were no enemy bludgers trying to assail her today. She'd just have to spot that glimmer of shining gold, reach out, and grab it. She decided to attack the field in a grid pattern, searching each square quickly from top to bottom. Could one hear a snitch? She tried to focus in on the sound of the breeze as well and drown out the shouting students from the other sports.

Rosie had gotten lost for a second, which was not unusual. But, considering that it wasn't a very long walk from one part of the Quidditch Stadium to the other, she didn't know how she'd managed to lose her way in that very, very short distance. Regardless, she was now getting to experience some Quidditch, which she was really excited for!

She hadn't ever played, but knew that the sport was most definitely interesting. Getting to fly on a broom, trying to score points to help your team win or whacking things at people or keeping things away from your own goals or searching for something in the sky, it all sounded so interesting. But, for today, she didn't want to do anything too complicated.

She had a bit of a headache, and didn't know how long she wanted to stay. Nothing horrible, but enough that she wanted to lay down in a bit, knowing that it would eventually get worse. It happened rather often, so she wasn't worried about it.

"Alright, time to find something to do!" she said, beginning to walk around the area where everything was set up. She spotted Windy, whom she'd seen before, but didn't want to bother him while he was playing, so she kept walking and eventually came upon the Bludgering area. Where she was supposedly just allowed to smash a bludger, one of the balls used for the sport, into a dummy opposite of her. Well, don't mind if she does!

She picked up the provided bat, and walked up to where she was going to hit it from. Though softball was never her sport in the Muggle world, she at least knew what to do. She took a deep breath, making sure that she was focused, and swung the bat, hoping to do well at the activity.

I'm more than happy to answer them.
The Quaffle Station
Lottie watched from the edge of the pitch as the Quidditch station seemed to die down, only a few players now cycling through the stations. The first she examined was the quaffle station, where she found only two younger boys fighting for the quaffle with somewhat unbalanced intensity. One she recognized as Frederick Buckley, a younger Gryffindor, though notably swift on the pitch. The other boy, Zephyr, still had some work to do. Frederick managed a noteworthy three points before Zephyr even got a chance to score, which was quickly swept away by his soft throw to the hoops. Frederick managed to snag the ball once more, but it seemed Zephyr's misfortune had rubbed off on him as the quaffle bounced off the hoop's edge and rolled away into the grass.

The Bludger Station
The second station Lottie examined was the bludger station. Here, a lone Slytherin she had seen once or twice in the common room was gearing up to bludger the already battered dummy. Dido Bleaklane, whose name had been occasionally thrown between Lottie and Cecilia as a potential candidate for the team, swung her bat with strong confidence at an oncoming bludger and... promptly missed by a foot and nearly took herself out with the force of her swing. Lottie winced, though couldn't help but admire the attempt.

The Snitch Station
The final station Lottie came to was the snitch station. The bulk of the players were crowded around here, though the energy was pinched as they struggled to identify the object of their ambitions. Richard, who Lottie had briefly seen earlier, was still attempting to find the snitch, though it seemed he was out of luck. Denisse, however, abruptly managed to put her second turn to use, barely getting an eye on the snitch. Finally, the oldest of the three, Della, was quick to get her eye on the little bugger, despite having joined late. Lottie nodded her approval and returned to her cycle.

Finding the snitch at first try was hard for Ava. The girl tried her best, going from nook to nook. Behind the stands, every possible hidden place, but finding that buzz was harder than she could ever have thought. The seer thought, being a seeker would be the easiest task, what a seeker has to do? Just find the snitch, that's it. But the snitch was a stubborn ball to seek. Thus, she is still here, frantically searching for the ball as hard as she can.

Getting tired, the girl took a small break. Ugh. . . Why is this so hard?! The girl wanted to just try some other sport. Should I try duelling? Nah, I'll be too bad at it. Ah! The broom racing! Nah. . . I don't like speed. Sighing, the girl thought. At last, the only sport that brought her inner passion out was Quidditch, and she would be a part of it only. Taking the broom in her hand again, she flew. Flew in search of that small golden ball, buzzing around somewhere. The brunette's eyes are going around everywhere. Trying to find even a glance of something small flying around. She noticed other seekers trying to find the snitch as well. The girl determined to find the snitch.

The Quidditch deities were sending him a very clear message: he certainly wasn't one of those with the talent to play this sport. He kept missing the golden glint of the Snitch. It was actually quite incredible to be so clueless: did he need to get glasses? He nodded absently when he saw two girls from his stand react immediately, heading towards a specific spot. They were about to throw themselves wholeheartedly into the duel that would determine who would win.

Richard was wasting his time. Admitting a defeat which didn't surprise him, he decided to fly towards the ground. It was high time to go somewhere else, perhaps the dueling stand or the Broom Racers' stand. After all, this day was made for exploration. Skirting those who were battling it out with the Golden Snitch, he finally set foot on the ground and joined the Slytherin Quidditch Captain. He gave her a nod in greeting.

Thank you very much for your work... obviously, I’m not ready to be part of the team!", he snickers, “Good luck for the next matches, the cup will be ours.

He left the stand and returned to the area where all the school's brooms were lined up. He hung his own up and left. His steely eyes scanned the general area. The Duelling one caught his eye. So he decided to go and have a look.

Ava's Search at the Snitch Station
A deafening silence fell over the pitch as the bustling crowd dissipated, leaving a lone seeker behind to soar the skies freely; Ava Lynn. Now that there were no distractions, such as bashing bludgers and chaotic quaffle tussles, her search would be easier. As Ava searched high and low for the elusive snitch, the young captain quietly observed. Her persistence was admirable, and – in Cecilia's opinion – an indicator of her potential to be an excellent seeker.

In the corner of her eye, Ava would briefly see a glint of gold flash. It was so quick that one would have missed it if they blinked. If Ava were to glance over her shoulder right after, she would be met with the disheartening reality; the snitch was nowhere in sight. Was it merely a trick of the light? No, her senses had certainly improved since her first search. The snitch was simply faster. Still, Ava could take pride in the fact that she was getting closer. Unfortunately, the event would be ending soon. What a pity. Cecilia for one had been looking forward to seeing her chase the snitch. Perhaps if Ava continued to hone her skills, that hope would bear fruit in an official Quidditch match someday.

Richard's Farewell
Cecilia rested her chin on the palm of the hand, bright eyes carefully watching the range of emotions displayed by participants as they departed. Some hung their heads low, whilst some seemed surprised by their own talents. Most were too engrossed in their performance to pay mind to the captains.

However, one brave wizard strode towards them and drew Cecilia’s attention away from the pitch. Lifting her chin, she straightened her posture as he greeted them. With a firm nod, she returned his greeting and gazed intently at him. As he spoke, her brows arched and for a brief second, his words stunned her into silence.

“...You are most welcome,” she eventually replied.

This was the first time anyone had expressed any sort of gratitude for her and Lottie’s efforts. Especially after their tragic defeat during their last Quidditch game. Perhaps she could offer a few words of encouragement in return.

“Recognising one’s limits is a skill in itself that is invaluable in Quidditch,” Cecilia remarked, somewhat impressed by his honesty. “That being said, you can always overcome such limits… with proper guidance,” she mused. “There is always a place among us for those who are willing to do what it takes.”

A warm smile then graced her lips upon hearing his next words, “Indeed it will. Thank you for your kind words, we will remember them fondly.”

And with that, the Tri-Quidditch Toss-up came to a close.
